Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 62: Pain And Gifts
Natalia was momentarily shocked when she spotted the familiar yet radiant face.
The last time she’d seen Celine in person was five years ago when Celine had made the decision to leave the country and walk away from all the things going wrong. Though they spoke through facetime most times seeing someone on screen was very different from reality.
Five years ago, Celine had looked pale and worn from stress and anxiety at all the troubles pouring down on her, she had been overwhelmed by sorrow due to that horrid scandal, Natalia had felt her heart ache seeing her friend in that situation and she hadn’t said a single word in protest when Celine had shared her decision to leave, but at this moment, the woman approaching her seemed to be a whole new person.
Natalia stared at Celine from head to toe with her mouth slightly agape.
She was dressed in a sleek black ensemble that looked both luxurious and breathtaking, her presence commanded attention even without trying at all. A fitted high neck bodysuit clung to her figure like a second skin and a long glossy coat flowed down to her knees, an all black attire that contrasted to her milky white skin and striking red lips like blood on snow. A plush grey fur hat sat over the long tresses of her golden blonde hair. She looked chic and breathtakingly glamorous like a queen stepping into their own kingdom.
When Celine spotted Natalia in the distance, a bright smile surfaced on her face. It made her look even more irresistibly gorgeous, the innocent beauty from five years ago had undergone a huge change into this earth revolting beauty, Natalia almost couldn’t believe her eyes.
"Nat, I’ve missed you." When Celine hugged Natalia, the latter was still in awe but a pleasant look dawned over her features as she squeezed Celine into a tighter hug.
"Celine, have you seen yourself? You look great!" Natalia exclaimed excitedly.
"So do you, how have you been?" Celine felt a pleasantly refreshing feeling rush into her from the moment she saw Natalia. Her best friend had changed quite a bit, more bright and beautiful than she’d always known her. It was true that one wouldn’t know how much they missed someone until they were right in front of them.
"You know, same old. You?" When Natalia asked this, her eyes suddenly widened in realization, "Wait, why are you by yourself, where are...?"
Natalia trailed off, knowing that she hadn’t been expecting Celine to be alone by the time she picked her up, but her face brightened up a second later as her eyes landed on a certain direction behind Celine.
Her gaze fell on a blonde haired little boy not older than four, and the moment Natalia spotted him, she almost squealed in excitement.
He was a mini Celine with that hair, but his facial features were completely different from Celine’s. Sharp eyes, with glimmering hazel orbs and an eye catching face that looked far too similar to the image of a man shown frequently on TV screens. Though adorable, the little boy’s expression seemed a bit too stern for his age, he looked nonchalant as if nothing could impress him, nothing could faze him.
He was dressed quite similar to Celine, an all black attire that made his youthfully adorable demeanor stand out even more.
Natalia gasped at the sight of the boy. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
This was... Celine’s son? He was so cute!!!
Other than her excitement, Natalia was having trouble figuring out how Celine would hide this pretty little boy that looked way too similar to a certain business mogul.
It seemed to Natalia that the Graysons or the Blakewoods would come knocking at Celine’s doors pretty soon. But Natalia couldn’t say that to Celine, mentioning anything even remotely close to the name Grayson always made her expression change drastically.
"Keep up, Leah." The little boy addressed someone next to him and Natalia’s eyes immediately drew to that direction because she had anticipated it. All the pictures she’d seen and glimpses she’d caught of them on facetime with Celine felt like it had done nothing but dim the lights in the real thing.
There was another cute little four year old by the side, a little girl with sparkling blue eyes and hair as dark as onyx. She hugged a chunky white cat to her chest, the feline had a lighter shade of blue eyes than the little girl, but when one looked on both the girl and the cat, they would have a chilling feeling down to their spine, the cat and the human sported the same kind of chillingly calm look in their eyes that made one see a wisdom beyond their years.
Natalia was even more amazed.
Five years ago after Celine left, she’d had twins on her own at Westwood. She had started a new life there, made new friends, built new connections and raised her babies peacefully.
The two kids had striking looks, both very similar, but not identical, each with a distinct kind of beauty to them.
"Hello, little cutie!" Natalia addressed the little boy holding back the urge to ruffle his hair. She couldn’t see Celine as a mother even though they’d been in contact for a long time.
However with these kids that looked like they belonged on the covers of kid magazines, she could totally see the resemblance.
When she reached out to touch the little girl, the cat hissed at her but the girl gave a wide smile that left Natalia torn whether she could touch the kid or not.
"Nat, this is Leo and that’s Leah." Celine’s eyes turned softer when she looked at her kids.
Sometimes, pain could be a gift as well. The twins were the gifts her pain had given her.
"Leo, Leah, this is my best friend Natalia, say hi."
The boy said a stoic hello and nothing more, Natalia wondered if the kid was just shy, after all kids their age didn’t do great around strangers. The little girl however was a lot more enthusiastic in her greeting.
Natalia couldn’t resist pinching their adorable cheeks one after the other, "Such lovely names, just like you two. Your Mom and I have been best friends for a really long time, we’re basically family, so that makes you both my godchildren. You both have to call me godmother from now on, okay?"
Leo tilted his head to the side, looking as Natalia assesively before he replied.
"No thanks, I’m good with just one Mom, I don’t need another one." The small childlike voice speaking with authority mixed with the innocence of a young child was quite cute to hear at the same time his words smacked Natalia rendering her speechless.
