Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos-Chapter 283: Sensitive Period
"What kind of mission? I doubt we really need to do anything else to prepare for the war." Lin Feng really couldn’t think of anything they really needed to do.
Even the counter pill was more than enough to bring those two sects to their knees.
"It’s not about that. You do know that our sect has very few disciples, and right now most of them were doing missions for preparation of the war.
Because of this, the missions which we usually do to keep peace in the Northern Region were halted. These missions included the destruction of devil factions, clearing bandit groups, and managing the clans and small powers.
Due to this, most of the region is quite infested with bandits and devil factions who increased their numbers rapidly since they knew that we weren’t in a position to stop them.
Even the local powers didn’t want to engage too much with these bandits or devils as they were also preparing for the outcome of the war.
Because of this, many rogue cultivators have also joined these groups seeing their success, and this was very disastrous for the villages and small factions everywhere in the Northern Region.
Occasionally we all leave our missions and clean them as much as we can, but the Northern Region is too vast. With only seven of us and a few loyal factions, it wasn’t possible to see through every part of it.
Just before we got the news that you were coming, we were about to leave on one such mission, so we stopped.
Now it’s time we clear these vile creatures. We will call all of our disciples, and the main missions will be regarding this from now on because even as I speak some villages might be getting annihilated."
Zi Mei finished speaking while shaking her head. She still remembered the destruction of her own village.
Lin Feng understood the situation perfectly. It indeed was a very sensitive period for the Northern Region, "Then aunt, I will go too. Don’t stop me. I am already a Soul Sea Realm cultivator now..."
Hearing that, Zi Mei sighed along with the others. It wasn’t like they had ever stopped him truly. It was indeed a lot safer for him to travel the world right now, but still..., "Wouldn’t it be better for you to rest—"
"No need to use excuses aunt. I was resting in Yin Yang Harmony Sect for quite some time..." Lin Feng didn’t want to stay here when all of them would be gone outside.
"Alright... As usual, just don’t take unnecessary risks and take these talismans," Xuan Xue spoke and took out a lot of talismans.
While she was waiting for him in the spirit mine she had created a lot of these. Most of them went to the sect with some of them kept specifically for Lin Feng.
Lin Feng took them with a smile. His master always agreed to his request no matter what even though he knew that she worried the most.
He could create his own talismans too, "Master, can you give me some blank talisman papers, also some high-quality ink?"
Xuan Xue nodded and took out plenty of them. She made her own talisman paper and ink from beasts.
"Ahh... yes, our rascal is good at everything. Why not you just sit in the sect and create pills and talisman papers? You can help in that way tremendously too?" Zi Mei said and others nodded in totally agreeing with her.
Lin Feng immediately shook his head. It was too boring, "My strength is my main advantage aunt. It will be better to utilise it in eradicating those bandits."
They all shook their heads. Nonetheless, it was the truth, and they knew it.
"C-can I take these missions too?" Xie Ruyue wanted to help too.
"Is there even need to ask," Hua Ying spoke with a slight smile, "Let’s divide the regions." She would stay in the sect for some time to assign everyone throughout the Northern Region to maximize their scope.
Lin Feng also told them about a talisman which could be used effectively to track someone down, and they were surprised. It wasn’t much high grade, so they could easily create it.
After that his aunts left one by one while advising Lin Feng to not take unnecessary risks, and Lin Feng could only nod. Only his master, aunt Lian, and his senior sisters were left. He had just come, and they were separating again.
He was told to stay near the sect where there were fewer bandits while others would go a little further and to more desolate areas where stronger factions existed.
Lin Feng was fine with it. He didn’t care where he would be visiting, but there was one thing he had to do right now: to breakthrough to the Blood Core stage in body cultivation.
He was holding it before, but now he didn’t have to.
"Alright then," Xuan Lian looked at Lin Feng and came close, "I won’t say much since others have already warned you, but nonetheless take care of yourself." She came close to him and pulled him into her arms before kissing him deeply on his lips.
Lin Feng wrapped his hands around her and reciprocated. Her aunt was just as bold as ever, and he quite liked it. After a few minutes of their deep exchange Xuan Lian parted and left.
"Let’s get our fair share too junior sister Xie," Mo Yan said and pulled her. They were going together on this mission for safety purposes as they would be far from the sect.
Xie Ruyue felt a little shy in doing that in front of someone, Xuan Xue specifically.
Xuan Xue on the other hand thought that it was the right time to ask Xie Ruyue if she wanted to become her disciple, "Xie Ruyue..."
When Xie Ruyue heard that she became a little stiff. Was it really inappropriate for them to do that?
Mo Yan on the other hand knew that wasn’t the case, but she also stopped.
"Y-yes senior Xuan," Xie Ruyue spoke while feeling guilty.
Xuan Xue didn’t know why she was stuttering, but she asked nonetheless, "Do you want to become my disciple?"
