Dragon God Supreme-Chapter 1977 - 1976: Decide for Yourself
Feng Wuchen couldn’t be bothered to do thankless tasks.
The alchemists who stayed behind were all God-King Level and Divine Monarch level, not many in number, just over thirty.
Thirty or so alchemist students, that’s not too many.
Of course, Feng Wuchen couldn’t guarantee whether all of these thirty or so alchemist students were willing to learn from him.
Feng Wuchen looked at those thirty or so alchemist students and asked with a faint smile, "Since you stayed, can I understand it as you being willing to receive my instruction?"
"Our alchemist realm is not as high as the Chief Mentor’s. Since the Mansion Master has appointed you as the Chief Mentor, we believe you can guide us," a female student remarked respectfully.
"The Mansion Master and the elders all trust the Chief Mentor, so we trust the Chief Mentor too," another student said.
"Chief Mentor, if your skills aren’t up to par, we won’t accept you," a student stated.
Feng Wuchen smiled lightly and said, "Very well, my teaching times aren’t fixed; come when I have time, don’t come when I don’t, each session lasts two hours."
Upon hearing this, the students who hadn’t left were dumbfounded, even the mentors were astonished.
The thirty or so alchemist students looked at each other, equally shocked.
"What’s he talking about? Come when he has time, don’t come when he doesn’t—that means come as you please, and if you don’t want to, don’t come? Isn’t this delaying the alchemist students’ training?" a mentor frowned slightly.
"This guy is too arrogant, what does he take the Divine Mansion for? He’s not being responsible to the students at all!" Another mentor said through gritted teeth.
"Mansion Master, Elders, isn’t this inappropriate?" a mentor asked Gu Tianyang, obviously very dissatisfied with Feng Wuchen’s teaching schedule.
"..." Gu Tianyang and the upper management said nothing, their silence indicating agreement with Feng Wuchen’s decision.
"Chief Mentor, with your teaching schedule being irregular, wouldn’t this delay the students’ training?" a mentor directly asked Feng Wuchen.
Upon hearing this, Feng Wuchen smiled lightly and said, "These are my teaching rules—if they think it will delay their training, they may leave, I won’t force them, it is their decision to make."
"Hmph! Arrogant! Not considering the students’ future at all!" a mentor said angrily, unable to stand Feng Wuchen’s approach.
Feng Wuchen did not refute, as he couldn’t possibly come to the Divine Mansion every day.
"Good thing he’s not our mentor; otherwise, our lives would be ruined!" a student said gleefully and maliciously.
"There’s nothing more for us here; let’s go back to training," a genius student shrugged and led the way out.
Other students, seeing that Gu Tianyang and the elders said nothing, also went their separate ways.
The Chief Mentor was just here for a show; it was nothing serious to these students.
The quality of the Divine Mansion students was regrettably low, making Gu Tianyang, Huangfu Yan, and others extremely angry.
Looking at those thirty or so alchemist students, Feng Wuchen smiled and asked, "If you’re worried about affecting your training, you can still leave; I won’t force anyone, but those who leave will have no further opportunities."
"Chief Mentor, I’m sorry, I don’t want to waste time. I’m leaving," a Divine Monarch level alchemist promptly said, clearly unable to accept Feng Wuchen’s teaching schedule.
Feng Wuchen smiled lightly and said, "Everyone has their own choice, you don’t need to apologize to me."
"Chief Mentor, if you’re unavailable for a month or two, it greatly impacts us, so I’m leaving too." Another student decided to leave.
With two leading the way out, some God-King Level and Divine Monarch level alchemists followed suit.
In the end, only twenty people remained.
Looking at the twenty people who stayed, Feng Wuchen smiled and said, "I’m glad you trust me; I will provide all resources and the best conditions for you to learn."
"Thank you, Chief Mentor." The students expressed their gratitude respectfully.
"Chief Mentor, sorry for the embarrassment," Gu Tianyang said with an awkward smile.
Feng Wuchen smiled and said, "Mansion Master, this is their own choice. Of course, doing so helps curtail their arrogance, and the effect will be significant. I must also clarify that I won’t interfere in any Divine Mansion matters or decisions."
"Alas, they’ll regret it eventually," Huangfu Yan sighed helplessly.
"Mansion Master Gu, why are the Divine Mansion students like this? This is practically insulting Master Soul Extinction!" Ling Xiaoxiao asked angrily, sincerely feeling indignant for Feng Wuchen.
"Ah," Gu Tianyang sighed with a wry smile, "Miss Xiao Xiao, you might not know, the Divine Mansion students all come from various major forces in the Seven Divine Realms; many students have very powerful backing unless they commit an excessive act, there’s nothing we can do."
"I understand the Mansion Master’s predicament, but some regulations in the Divine Mansion need to be updated," Feng Wuchen said with a faint smile.
"Chief Mentor, changing regulations isn’t something you can just decide; the rules set by Master Soul Extinction can’t be changed just because you say so," a mentor expressed hostility.
"Everything Master Soul Extinction does is for the students’ benefit, guiding them onto the right path, doing everything to teach them to become top powerhouses in the Seven Divine Realms," another mentor added.
"Coming in and wanting to change the Divine Mansion’s rules, Chief Mentor, what are your intentions?" another mentor questioned, staring at Feng Wuchen with hostility.
It was obvious that most mentors were dissatisfied with Feng Wuchen.
With Feng Wuchen assuming the role of Chief Mentor at a young age, it was naturally irking for the other mentors.
Huangfu Yan sternly admonished, "Liu Chan! Do not show disrespect towards the Chief Mentor!"
Feng Wuchen said with a faint smile, "Everyone, no need to get excited, I was just speaking off the cuff; I won’t interfere with anything relating to the Divine Mansion regulations—changing them or not is the Divine Mansion’s affair, I’m just here to teach."
Next to him, Ling Xiaoxiao’s charming face turned icy cold; Feng Wuchen had kindly come to teach, but not only were the students unreceptive, the mentors also harbored animosity toward him.
"These people are really too detestable!" Ling Xiaoxiao thought angrily to herself, her face utterly cold.
Gu Tianyang’s brows furrowed slightly, his old eyes flashed with complexity, thoughtful.
"Mansion Master, prepare a palace for me," Feng Wuchen said, looking at Gu Tianyang.
"Already prepared for the Chief Mentor, Canyun, take the Chief Mentor to the Divine Elixir Pavilion," Gu Tianyang instructed Canyun, one of the alchemist students.
"Chief Mentor, please," Canyun respectfully gestured, leading Feng Wuchen and Ling Xiaoxiao towards the palace, while other alchemist students followed.
Once Feng Wuchen had left, a mentor expressed dissatisfaction, "Mansion Master, the Chief Mentor’s irregular teaching schedule will severely delay the students’ training! I disagree with him teaching!"
"That’s right! I disagree too!" many mentors voiced their opposition.
"Everyone be quiet! Here, everything is decided by the Mansion Master!" Gu Tianyang shouted angrily, unleashing a terrifying aura that made the mentors fall silent.
