Doted By The Regent King-Chapter 1497 - 1435: Shopping at New Heights
Nianhua Alley, the alluring place in Southern City within Changan City, is home to seductive men no less charming than women, top talents with extraordinary skills, and beautiful men of indistinguishable gender.
As night falls, Nianhua Alley comes alive, with large red lanterns hung high. Painted with similarly indistinguishable beauties, these lanterns gently rotate with the breeze, making the paintings seem to come alive.
Unparalleled Tower, the largest and most popular young servant building in Nianhua Alley, is said to be led by a man once acclaimed for his beauty throughout the world, whose musical skills could enchant birds and butterflies to circle around him. The leader himself is named Hua Wushuang.
Wufu stood with her hands behind her back, looking at the towering four-story building in front of her. The hexagonal eaves were adorned with jingling bells that swayed with the wind, mingling with the sounds of strings and bamboo flutes from inside to compose a new symphony.
She lifted her leg to enter, and Ah Jiu pulled her hand, frowned, and said, "Why not let someone else go in? Let’s not go."
"We’re already here, we should at least take a look," Wufu said with a half-smile, "You’re not scared, are you?"
Ah Jiu’s face turned dark, "Why would I be scared?"
"Then let’s go!" Wufu entered.
Ah Jiu had no choice but to hurry after her.
Upon entering, the interior was completely different from the ancient simplicity viewed from the outside; it was very extravagant, almost as if the air itself carried a sweet, cloying scent.
Ah Jiu had an inexplicable dislike for this extravagance and sweetness, walking beside Wufu with an expressionless face.
"You should relax a bit, or they might think you’re looking for trouble rather than fun," Wufu said with a laugh.
Ah Jiu glanced at her sideways; she seemed very much at ease, as if she was completely familiar with the place.
He remembered when they went to the brothel in Wozi Village; she was equally at ease, and even when he wasn’t there, it was said her business talks were conducted in places of indulgence!
Humph!
She frequented these places as casually as strolling through her own courtyard, reaching new heights.
Ah Jiu wallowed in his own sea of jealousy.
Ignoring his rancor, Wufu moved on as someone approached, dressed in bright crimson attire, walking with a unique grace. Black Hair was tied with a silk ribbon, hanging down to the left, his long eyebrows and peach blossom eyes accompanied a delicate nose and thin lips. His complexion, perhaps due to staying up late, had a slight unhealthy pallor, appearing somewhat frail, making one want to hold him tenderly.
"Oh my, I wondered why magpies were calling at my windowsill early today; it turns out we’ve received esteemed guests. You two handsome gentlemen seem unfamiliar," the man exaggeratedly remarked as he tenderly leaned towards Wufu, his hands reaching to grab hers.
Ah Jiu stepped sideways, causing the man’s hand to touch his chest.
The man was momentarily stunned, but didn’t dwell on it; in an instant, his hands had boldly traced circles on Ah Jiu’s chest, then he spun around and leaned against Ah Jiu’s embrace, seductively asking, "Good sir, my name is Hua Jinhuan, what’s yours?"
The entire action was seamlessly performed, as if practiced countless times, very skillful, and even the seductive demeanor was vivid, yet not awkward or stiff, but seemed naturally fluent.
Wufu had seen many people, and Jun Wenqi was equally handsome, but never did he appear effeminate, while this Hua Jinhuan before her was truly indistinguishable in gender, especially his husky, magnetic voice which was thoroughly captivating.
A beauty, indeed!
