Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 945: Her Fall from Grace
"Dad, I don’t understand why you’re being so harsh on July."
Richard Donovan originally thought that without Jenna Sawyer and Yvonne Donovan’s interference, bringing July Quinn back was a done deal.
Unexpectedly, his father had become the most troubling person for him now.
"Harsh? Then why don’t you ask your good daughter what she did to me?"
"Dad, I don’t believe July would do anything excessive."
"Don’t believe? You weren’t there to see how embarrassed I was when that bad girl kicked me out of the clinic!"
"July kicked you out of the clinic? That can’t be!"
The old butler hurried forward: "It’s true. Miss had people directly throw the old master out."
"Was there anything else that happened before that?" Richard Donovan couldn’t believe July Quinn would do what Old Master Donovan said.
But the old butler had served Old Master Donovan for decades, so he had to stand on his side, even though he also heard Old Master Donovan say some excessive things to July Quinn.
"No, overall, Miss was quite excessive today!"
Richard Donovan frowned, deciding to have a good talk with July Quinn about today’s events.
But plans can’t keep up with changes.
Before Richard Donovan had time to set out to find July Quinn, a call from the cabinet required him to go overseas to attend an event.
Richard Donovan didn’t get to find July Quinn, but the news about Old Master Donovan and July Quinn almost breaking ties reached Jenna Sawyer’s ears.
Yes, even though Jenna Sawyer’s influence had waned, she had still lived at the Presidential Palace for decades, and naturally, some people were already bought by her.
After receiving this news, Jenna Sawyer went to find Yvonne Donovan.
Yvonne Donovan’s state could no longer be described as terrible.
In broad daylight, she had pulled all the curtains in the house and was lying drunk on the floor alone, with several empty wine bottles by her side.
Jenna Sawyer immediately opened all the curtains, letting the cold air disperse the unpleasant smell of alcohol in the room and the sunlight to brighten up the dark house.
"What are you doing? Pull the curtains back!"
Yvonne Donovan, uncomfortable from the blinding sunlight, rolled on the floor, complaining.
"Look at what you’ve become now?"
"What I’ve become is not important. What’s important is that my life is ruined."
Yvonne Donovan got up from the floor but picked up a half-finished bottle of wine beside her, ready to continue drinking.
This sloppy image was a far cry from the refined socialite she used to be in the Donovan Family, and it made Jenna Sawyer angry. She went directly up and smashed her wine bottle on the ground.
The bottle shattered into pieces on the ground, but Yvonne Donovan wasn’t flustered. She just stared blankly at the fragments of glass.
"Yvonne Donovan, how long are you going to keep self-destructing? Your life is just starting, and you have plenty of opportunities!"
"But if I don’t self-destruct, I don’t know what else I can do."
Yvonne Donovan mumbled, burying her head helplessly between her knees.
"No matter where I go, I’m laughed at and told that I’m unpardonably self-destructive."
"Except for Evan Zachary, those who used to be close to me don’t hang out with me anymore."
Even though Evan Zachary still hung out with her, whenever she went to the Zachary Family, his siblings were extremely tense, fearing she would marry into the family.
"No matter where I go, even at school, they’re all talking and laughing at me. Those guys I used to look down on now always get in my face, cracking dirty jokes, asking to play with me..."
Thinking about those people’s faces terrified Yvonne Donovan. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
So she simply hid at home, drowning her days in alcohol.
