Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 1124: Her Return!
"She doesn’t just lack time to log into the game, she literally can’t. She’s deader than dead, how could she possibly have the ability to log in?"
Anna was currently in the lead, feeling quite pleased with herself.
"And even if she were alive, she’d only win by logging in for long periods and playing many matches. What’s the point?"
As someone who has been second place for ages, she was eager to let the world know how great she was, how awesome!
"My dad never needed long login times to win. The experience he gains from playing one match is enough to crush your full day’s worth."
"Fine, fine, whatever you say, they’re dead anyway!"
Victor Hawthorne was almost exploding with rage, he couldn’t help but let out a curse.
"You’re the one who’s dead, damn it!"
He even couldn’t hold back the impulse to rush out and teach that peacock-like woman a lesson.
His underlings felt the same way.
After all, July Quinn was the god in their hearts.
Even though the god might actually be dead, they couldn’t allow anyone to shame her like this.
But Anna’s squad members were surrounding her. They all depended on her for today’s match. How could they possibly let her get beaten?
Hence, they hurriedly blocked in front of Anna.
A confrontation seemed inevitable.
But just at this moment, a familiar female voice chimed in: "Haven’t I told you guys, don’t fight on the field? Be careful not to fall into others’ traps."
Victor and the others looked up in surprise, only to see the slender figure dressed in a black cotton coat and jeans making her way through the crowd towards them.
Even though she had a baseball cap on her head, even though the brim covered most of her stunning face, they felt that figure was so familiar, so familiar that it brought tears to their eyes!
"Dad!"
"Grandpa!"
"Julian!"
Each of them shouted different titles, but their tone was filled with excitement.
They even forgot the conflict they were about to have with others, pushing through the crowd to reach that woman.
Victor was the first to rush forward and embrace July Quinn.
The underlings quickly followed and joined the embrace.
At this moment, their embrace was pure and simple, just for friendship, for the lost and found, for the long-awaited reunion...
"It’s so great, you’re really not dead!"
"I feel filled with fighting spirit again."
"Today we must win an award to celebrate Julian’s return."
Under the gaze of other esports teams, they spoke passionately, with eyes still glistening with tears.
Anna watched the figure surrounded by Victor and the others, feeling an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
"Is that Master JULY?"
Although recently Master JULY had participated in other competitions, hotly discussed among esports fans, the strange thing was that none of the released photos showed the front face.
So up until now, esports fans who hadn’t personally attended domestic esports competitions didn’t really know what Master JULY actually looked like.
They only vaguely knew she was very young and extremely beautiful.
Having previously idolized Master JULY, Anna had collected some of her information and photos, allowing her to roughly identify this person’s identity from her attire and figure, even if the members of their esports team referred to her differently.
"Wasn’t she dead?"
"Could it be a false report?"
"What about our match?"
Other members of their esports team also seemed to deduce the girl’s identity, and all of them inexplicably tensed up.
There was no helping it, Master JULY remained at the top of the leaderboard for years, an existence that everyone looked up to.
What changes she would bring to the competition, no one knew.
Anna was actually very uneasy too, afraid her hard-won first place would be snatched away again, throwing her back into that nauseating perpetual second place.
But just then, as Victor accidentally knocked off the girl’s cap, revealing that unbelievably beautiful face, all of Anna’s unease vanished...
