Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 1069: I Don’t Believe It Either
"She doesn’t eat wasabi flavor." Kyle Keaton tossed aside the wasabi-flavored pack.
"She doesn’t eat tom yum either; the sour and spicy flavor doesn’t suit her stomach." He discarded another pack.
"These colorful ones can’t be eaten, who knows how many chemicals are in them." He threw away another pack.
...
By the time he was done picking, the bag Jennings brought in was completely empty.
"You just don’t want to see July eating the instant noodles I gave her," Jennings was angry, glaring at Kyle with a look that said he had seen through his ruse.
"You’re right, I just don’t want my wife eating what you give her."
Even though Jennings was far less of a threat than Roman Kidd, Kyle Keaton still couldn’t ignore him.
"What do you mean your wife? Your relationship is already broken, she’s going to marry me soon."
But Kyle Keaton ignored this comment, which made Jennings feel like he was being mocked.
To boost his confidence, Jennings looked at July Quinn, "July, he doesn’t believe me."
But he didn’t expect July Quinn’s response to be, "I don’t believe you either."
Jennings: "..."
Were these two really on the verge of a breakup, given how in sync they were?
But Jennings didn’t get an answer.
Because right after finishing her noodles, July Quinn picked up the coat on the hanger and was ready to go out.
"Where are you going?"
Kyle Keaton hurried after her.
"Meeting a friend."
July Quinn didn’t look back.
Kyle Keaton watched her back, the light in his eyes dimming quite a bit.
Even though July Quinn hadn’t specified who this "friend" was, Kyle Keaton knew she didn’t really have any friends in Desrozin City, so the person she was going to meet was likely Roman Kidd who had come from afar...

Private Club —
July Quinn was making tea herself.
She had a good skill for tea-making, and she was good-looking.
Her slender, plain fingers handled the cups and tea like they were pieces of art.
Soon, a cup of fragrant, steaming tea was placed in front of Roman Kidd.
Roman Kidd took it, first sniffing it before taking a small sip.
"This tea is nice."
"It’s freshly arrived Biluochun, but the quality isn’t as good as the domestic ones."
"Next time I come, I’ll bring you some better ones."
July Quinn didn’t refuse: "Thanks."
"By the way, why the renovation again? Didn’t you like the previous style a lot?"
When Roman Kidd first came in, he saw a "Closed for Renovation" sign outside the private club.
When he entered, many rooms were buzzing with renovation work.
"It’s a long story."
July Quinn didn’t want to mention someone.
"Could you do me a favor?" Roman Kidd also skipped over this topic.
Since July Quinn didn’t want to talk about it, he wouldn’t force her, to avoid any discomfort between them.
Besides, when he first entered the private club, he had seen a familiar figure.
Presumably, this renovation couldn’t be unrelated to someone.
"What do you need, just tell me. To help His Excellency Kidd is July’s great honor."
Roman Kidd suddenly smiled.
If July Quinn was starting to tease him, did it mean their relationship was closer now?
"I need a female companion for a weekend cocktail party, no need to go through fire and water."
"Okay."
After all, Roman Kidd had saved her life, anything he needed, she ought to help with.
"Then I’ll pick you up on Saturday evening."
"Sure."
Then they talked about other things, staying until late before going their separate ways.
When July Quinn just got back to The Quinn Family’s, her car hadn’t even entered the garage when the window was knocked on.
July Quinn rolled down the window, only to see the man’s face outside was colder than the freshly snowed sky...
