Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 1055: Taking the Initiative to Drive?
"If I hadn’t left at the time, I probably would have died too."
Kyle Keaton froze on the spot.
Because he understood what July Quinn meant.
With her personality, if she hadn’t left back then and continued to see him and Bianca White’s affection, it would have been a fate worse than death.
"July..."
For a moment, he didn’t know what to say.
Scold July Quinn?
He had no right to, because July’s fall from the cliff and her departure were all his doing.
To restrict July from seeing Roman Kidd?
He had no right to do that either, as no matter how one looked at it, Roman Kidd saved July...
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going now."
July seemed to see what he was thinking, and she turned to leave the private club directly.
Kyle watched her back as she left, wanting to ask her to stay several times, but he didn’t know how to.
Later on, he simply asked the club manager to bring all the undamaged alcohol in the club.
In the chaotic club, he drank bottle after bottle, drinking himself into oblivion, drinking until he was drunk.
He resented himself for not finding July as soon as she fell off the cliff, and he resented himself for falling for Bianca’s charm.
But above all, he did not resent Roman Kidd.
Because if not for Roman, he really wouldn’t be able to see July now.
Yet, he couldn’t bear to watch as July and Roman’s relationship continued to warm; it was impossible for him.
In the blink of an eye, the night had deepened.
The staff of the private club had cleaned up most of the mess and were preparing to leave.
But Kyle was still in the club drinking, bottle after bottle.
Not knowing what to do, Thomas Grant stepped forward and tried to persuade Kyle.
"I’m not leaving. Where she is, is where I’ll be!"
"But Madam is not here now."
"Then where is she?"
"I’m not really sure either. But you’re drunk and should go back and rest."
"I’m not drunk."
Thomas wanted to say that people who were drunk often say that.
But when he saw Kyle’s calm dark eyes gazing into the distant lights, the words didn’t come out.
Because Kyle’s expression didn’t really look like that of a drunk person.
"Do you think she will leave me?"
Kyle continued to gaze at the distant lights, his voice hoarse in a way that wasn’t quite like him, as if the humility in his tone wasn’t something he usually expressed.
Yes, all his unease today stemmed from the possibility that July might leave him.
From July’s trust in Roman, to her smile, it was clear Roman had been very good to her recently.
Moreover, Roman hadn’t genuinely hurt July like he had.
He feared July would be drawn to Roman and leave him.
"Madam? I don’t know either."
Thomas had never been able to see through July.
So young, yet possessing strength well beyond her years.
So her future choices were naturally also elusive to him.
He only asked Kyle, "But if Madam wishes to leave you, will you really let her go?"
What seemed like an ordinary question struck a focus in Kyle’s usually distant gaze.
"No."
Yes, he wouldn’t allow July to leave.
Even if she might admire Roman in the future, he wouldn’t let go.
This was who Kyle Keaton was.
Some might say he was selfish.
But he wasn’t the kind of person who would let go and selflessly wish happiness for the one he loved to the extent that he’d find happiness too!
The happiness he wanted, he wanted to tightly grasp in his hand.
Yes, exactly like that!
So there was no need to obsess over whether July would leave; instead, he should focus on holding onto her!
With this in mind, Kyle suddenly tossed aside the bottle, standing up and heading out.
"Lord Keaton?"
Seeing him get up and walk out, Thomas hastily followed to drive him.
And he never expected that when he drove Kyle back to Kane Castle, Kyle suddenly thanked him.
"Thank you, your year-end bonus will be tripled!"
Thomas Grant: "..."
What’s with the sudden bonus increase?
Was it just because he took the initiative to drive Lord Keaton?
