Doctor and His Glamorous Sister-in-Law-Chapter 670 - 673: Won
After waiting a few seconds, Liu Ergou slowly opened his eyes and looked around. A look of surprise spread across his face as he surveyed his surroundings. He was standing in a massive casino. The decor was lavish beyond belief, a level of opulence he had never seen before, with gold glittering everywhere. Liu Ergou couldn’t resist reaching out to touch the gleaming surfaces.
A bald man nearby saw this and burst into laughter. "Haha, buddy, quite a sight, isn’t it? Let me tell you, all this glittering gold is real, not a fake in sight! The first time I came here, I was stunned speechless, too!"
However, Liu Ergou didn’t take in a single word the bald man said. His gaze had already shifted to other parts of the casino. The vast space was divided into two floors. The first floor was a wide-open area teeming with countless people. They were gathered around dozens of gambling tables, their expressions frenzied as they shouted at the top of their lungs. The second floor, however, consisted of individual private rooms.
Seeing this, Liu Ergou couldn’t help but ask, "Hey, buddy, what’s the deal with the second floor? Why is it all private rooms?"
Hearing the question, the bald man immediately replied, "That’s the VIP section. You have to show proof of assets to get in. Your assets have to be at least this much!"
With that, the bald man held up two fingers.
Looking at the two fingers, Liu Ergou stroked his chin and said, "Two hundred million?"
At the mention of two hundred million, the bald man rolled his eyes. "Buddy, are you messing with me? Two hundred million? Why don’t you just say two billion? I mean twenty million! To get a private room upstairs, you need at least twenty million!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou nodded. His gaze then locked onto a table playing Sic Bo, a game of guessing the outcome of dice. He was about to head over and play a couple of rounds, but just as he took a step, the bald man stopped him.
This left Liu Ergou somewhat puzzled. "What’s this about?"
Seeing Liu Ergou’s confused look, the bald man sighed. "Man, I don’t get you. Judging by how you’re acting, you’ve never been to a place like this before, have you? How can you be so clueless? Don’t you know you have to exchange your money for chips first?"
As he spoke, the bald man led Liu Ergou to the counter to exchange for a few yellow chips. Pointing at them, he explained, "These yellow chips are worth 1,000 each. Of course, there are also light blue and dark brown ones, worth 2,000 and 5,000, respectively. But that’s not the end of it. As for what comes after that, I have no idea. I don’t have that kind of money."
Saying this, the bald man scratched his head in slight embarrassment.
Liu Ergou just laughed, stepping forward and exchanging his money for ten dark brown chips without a second thought.
The bald man stared at the ten dark brown chips in Liu Ergou’s hands and couldn’t help but swallow hard. "Man, you really are loaded. Ten dark brown chips without even blinking!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou didn’t hesitate. He immediately took out two chips and stuffed them into the bald man’s hands. "Nah, it’s nothing. My family just got lucky—they demolished a few of our old houses, so I’ve got a little spending money. I used to just play for small stakes, but that got boring. Old Wu told me to come here and see the world a bit. Here, take these. Don’t be shy!"
With that, Liu Ergou turned and walked toward the Sic Bo table he had been looking at earlier.
The bald man watched Liu Ergou’s retreating back, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. He immediately pulled out a small walkie-talkie and spoke quickly, "Listen up, we’ve got a real fat sheep here. Looks like he’s from a family that got a big demolition payout! Spent 50,000 without blinking. We need to pay special attention to this one!"
After he finished, the bald man put away the walkie-talkie. Putting on a nonchalant act, he walked over to another gambling table.
By this time, Liu Ergou had already arrived at the Sic Bo table. As soon as the Croupier finished shaking the dice, Liu Ergou, without a second thought, placed his bet on ’Big’.
Soon, the outcome was revealed. Unfortunately for Liu Ergou, he guessed wrong. The Croupier had rolled a ’Small’.
Seeing this, Liu Ergou put on an annoyed expression. "Argh, why didn’t I bet on Small? Why did I choose Big! This is so frustrating!"
Without any hesitation, Liu Ergou took out two more chips and promptly placed them on ’Small’. "I refuse to believe it can be ’Big’ again!"
Yet, the result was still ’Big’.
This made Liu Ergou even angrier. He then played two or three more rounds in quick succession. As expected, all of them came up ’Big’. His remaining eight chips were lost completely.
Seeing that he had no chips left, Liu Ergou immediately went to the front desk and exchanged for twenty light brown chips. Afterwards, he returned to the gambling table. After these few rounds of betting, the other players at the table had become somewhat familiar with him. When they saw him approaching with twenty chips, one couldn’t help but tease him.
"Haha, buddy, you should just quit while you’re behind. Your luck is terrible! I’ve been coming here for five or six days, and I’ve never seen anyone lose four times in a row! The unluckiest guy I ever saw only lost three in a row. You just hit four! I’ve gotta see how long this losing streak can go!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou didn’t get angry, but just laughed. "So what if I lose? I’ve got money to burn!" With that, he slammed the chips in his hand down on the table. "I’ll start with these, and if it’s not enough, I’ll get more! There’s no way I can keep losing all night! Let me tell you all, I’ve got a feeling now. I have a hunch that I’m definitely going to win the next round! And it’s going to be a big win!"
Saying this, Liu Ergou picked up five chips and slapped them directly onto the betting area for a ’Triple’.
This move stunned everyone present, their eyes widening in astonishment. The Croupier, who was in the middle of shaking the dice, couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the bet. A ’Triple’? The odds were exceptionally low. Of course, as low as they were, the chances were still slightly better than winning the lottery.
CLACK!
The dice cup landed on the table. Liu Ergou stared intently, afraid he might miss something.
The next second, the result was revealed. The three dice inside all showed the same number: 6.
This meant Liu Ergou had won. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Realizing he’d won, Liu Ergou was absolutely overjoyed.
