Seeing Feng Chunling's confidence, Liu Ergou decided to trust her.

"Alright, Auntie. I'll trust you for now."

"But then again, how are you going to handle Yang Mei?" Liu Ergou asked with some confusion.

Having received permission, Yang Mei immediately opened the bottle. She first poured a glass for Feng Chunling, then one for herself. Finally, she turned to Liu Ergou. "Er Gou, are you having any?"

Feng Chunling remained completely unfazed by her daughter's state. She simply reached out and pushed Yang Mei down onto the sofa. Then she said earnestly, "Mei, I'm not joking with you. Er Gou is a good man, someone worth entrusting your life to. I wouldn't be doing this otherwise. Listen to me. Choosing Er Gou won't be a mistake. Think about it carefully!"

Hearing her mother's words, Yang Mei fell silent. Her mind began to race, replaying every moment she had spent with Liu Er Gou. He always teases me, but whenever there's trouble, he always steps up to help without a second thought. Just yesterday, when he heard about Dad's death, he didn't hesitate for a moment. He drove Mom and me all the way here and has been running around handling everything for us since. He's been so good to me... He really is a good man.
