Divine Evolution: Primordial of Imagination-Chapter 39: Fate’s Weapon
After the emergence of the Fallen Realm five hundred years ago, Earth was broken beyond repair.
And yet it healed when the existence of Fallen Regulators became known to man.
Technologies became advanced, and with the increase in humanity’s population.
The once known seven continents became ten.
Southern Fergon became the new headquarters of the Regulator’s society.
A continent designed to be the paradise for the Fallen Regulators who protects humanity.
**
After three days of journeying through the skies, Lenny Night finally arrived at his destination.
This was once Washington DC, the prideful capital of the United States of America.
Now the Evernight City.
A domain where the Association’s official headquarters on Earth resides.
This could be considered the most secured and private city in the world.
The landscape stretched far into the unknown, extremely guarded by powerful Fallen Regulators.
It was easy for Fallen Regulators to travel across the world since the Association provided them the necessary travel documents and all expense paid trips.
Lenny on the other hand was sponsored by the Government, they had covered the expenses of providing him the necessary travel documents and all expense paid trips.
This was because he wasn’t yet recognized by the Association.
He didn’t participate in any Awakening Ceremony and the Government were to be blamed for that.
Despite their low numbers, Fallen Regulators were treated as gods.
Why wouldn’t they?
With the vile threats of the Fallen Realm corrupting Earth with it’s random but consecutive gate breaks.
Pouring in hundreds and thousands of Apocalypse creatures into Earth, devouring humans.
Fallen Regulators were the protectors of mankind.
**
The shimmering sun lit across his face, Lenny was spotted climbing down the stairs as he exited the airplane.
Dressed in a blue hooded jacket, his eyes covered by the sunshades he wore, his lips curled faintly.
"So this is Evernight huh?" Lenny whispered softly, he raised his head, staring deep into the sky.
He could see it clearly.
Floating cars filled the sky, but that wasn’t all.
Some regular citizens, equipped with high techs flew through the sky. technology on Earth had advanced to this extent.
This was thanks to the existence of mana stones and mana crystals, core generators gotten from slaughtered apocalypse creatures.
He sighed deeply "I would have been brought here long ago if the Great House Night still reigned"
"But this isn’t the time to keep reminiscing" He reminded himself, to the Association he was still a Rank 1 Fallen Regulator.
There was no need to give him any special treatment.
No need to send someone to welcome him to the Evernight City.
Lenny went online, requesting for a ride, he had already booked an hotel room few days prior to his visit to the Evernight City.
He was planning on visiting the Association’s headquarters the next day.
It didn’t take him long for a taxi to arrive, a black lexus drove in and he quickly entered.
Minutes later, they left the airport. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
The music was loud, Lenny laid-back on his seat, staring through the window in amusement.
He was observing this mega city while the car drove, noticing his gaze, the driver lowered his music.
The driver was old yet energetic, brown haired and grey eyes.
"First time?" The driver asked, Lenny raised an eyebrow, "Sorry, what?" He asked.
The driver chuckled softly "My bad, I was merely asking if this is your first time being in Evernight?" He asked.
Lenny smiled at the question, he couldn’t help but sigh "Yeah, this is also my first time entering a city" He answered.
"Oh?" The driver was stunned, "Where you living in a cage or something?" He asked.
Lenny shook his head, "Nah" He smiled, "It was a castle, but where it was located was far away from civilization"
"There were no friends to make, all those who were my age were my siblings and they weren’t friendly"
"My father drilled the zeal of competition into them, making us hate eachother as we sort to rise to the top" He sighed.
"Although we couldn’t kill ourselves, but we had to hurt eachother pretty bad" Lenny paused for a second, his eyes saddened.
"My family was quite fucked up I must say" He chuckled, the driver who had been quietly listening had to nod "Yeah that’s true" the driver smiled.
"I know it would be offensive if I curse that family of yours or ask what it’s name, but listening to your story"
"I’m glad I never experienced something like that" the driver said, Lenny chuckled softly.
"True" He lingered for a second, "But if you were born into my family, you would have had the opportunity of being a Fallen Regulator"
"Aren’t you unhappy with the fact you failed the awaken?" Lenny curiously asked.
The driver nodded, "Yeah, sure it pains me since I lost lots of benefits after failing to become a carrier of the Fallen Rune"
"I’m old already and had to become a mere taxi driver, and I make only $1000 per month" The driver answered.
Lenny smiled, "But atleast you’re alive and healthy, although the path of a Fallen Regulator is filled with adventures and wealth"
"But it’s also dangerous.....after all, once a Fallen Regulator dies in the Fallen Realm"
"They will be erased from existence" Lenny stated.
The driver nodded, "I’m aware of that but you know, there’s an old saying....no risk, no reward"
"No pain, no gain....."
"Even if it meant dying early, I would have loved to become a Fallen Regulator, to see the true world"
"This is why I consider you lucky kid" The driver said, his voice gentle and his words innocent.
But Lenny couldn’t help but scoff "Lucky?" He snarls "I definitely am not, I found myself cursed with extraordinary abilities and yet I feel I’m simply a puppet"
"A chess piece slowly designed by Fate" He gritted his teeths, "This isn’t luck!"
The driver stayed silent, neither voicing out his opinion nor retorting, he simply want the young one to voice out his anger and frustration.
But Lenny stayed silent, not speaking or apologizing for raising his voice.
Eerie silence reigned supreme until the black lexus arrived at it’s destination, Lenny paid before stepping down from the taxi.
He breathed in deeply "That was awkward" He sighed.
His eyebrows furrowed when a familiar chuckle behind him, Lenny slightly tilt his gaze to see Corinthian standing behind him.
"You heard everything?" Lenny asked.
Corinthian grinned "Ofcourse I did, we heard everything and there’s nothing that could be kept from us"
"When it comes to you" Corinthian stepped forward, they were both standing at the entrance of the 5-star hotel Lenny had booked.
Corinthian continued "I understand your feelings Lenny, and you may be right...."
"This isn’t luck.....you are a mere tool, crafted by Fate for a reason unknown to us"
Lenny raised an eyebrow "Why do you say that?" He asked.
Corinthian grinned evily "The answer is simple, take a look at yourself, you possess two Divine rank Fallen Runes"
"You are something fate would never let exist unless it created you for a reason"
"You are a mere tool and once this secrets is exposed. There will be a war to claim you"
"Even that man will not stay idle!"
Lenny’s lips curled up "Are you saying this shit to get me to be scared? What does it matter if they come?"
"I may be weak now but let them come...."
"One way or the other, they’ll all die!!"
Corinthian with his arms folded observed Lenny for a moment "You sure are certain of your victory, aren’t ya?"
"Lets hope you’re strong enough for what’s about to come"

Crystal had left her crimson pavilion, like Lenny, she was also summoned.
But not to the Association headquarters.
But to the domain of Greed.
She was draped in her traditional red gown, her silver hair disheveled, flowed down.
Her golden eyes flickered with determination.
Her pale skin unchanged, her eyes darkened as she continued coughing.
She walked through the halls of the grey palace, every cultists she walked past bowed.
It didn’t take her long to arrive at her destination. The grand metallic doors clanged open.
Her eyebrows furrowed.
Before her, twelve entities stood, all cladded in black gowns, faces hidden under a ghost mask.
Their presence filled with tenacity, they tilted their gazes, their eyes fixed on her.
Crystal felt her heart skipped a beat, this were the elders of the Cult.
Members of the Drakkon Family.
Her uncles, aunts and cousins of her father.
Powerful thieves!
She comport herself, stepping into the chamber, with the iron doors closed.
She fell on her knees, with her head bowed before the elders "Greetings my elders"
"I, Crystal Drakkon, the heiress has obeyed the summon" She stated.
One of the elders nodded, he gently stroke his beards "Very good, you came at the right time" the elder spoke.
"Right now.....our spies have confirmed Lenny’s presence in Evernight City"
"I want you to explain to us how you, a Rank 2 Fallen Regulator, gifted a grade 5 Fallen Relic failed to kill a mere Rank 1 Fallen Regulator?"
"Whatever the reason may be.....they will determine what will happen to you next!"
