Divine Emperor of Death-Chapter 3528 Exiting Seclusion
In the Divergent Peak, there was a floating palace.
It seemed to be in ruins, cracks having formed all over the place but the structure was still intact. Inside the palace, there was a naked man seated on a giant lily pad.
He slowly opened his eyes, his sapphire pupils appearing calm like the lake.
He blinked once, breathing in and breathing out before he cast a look down and saw a crimson lily pad. He wryly smiled, knowing it was soaked in his blood and was probably a resource of its own that could benefit someone else as it seemed to contain some of his blood essence.
However, he looked further down and saw that the Low-Level Empyrean Grade Life Essence Spirit Water that had been soaked in blood when he closed his eyes some unknown days ago was now clear.
'Makes sense… even my dense blood essence wouldn't be able to contaminate Low-Level Empyrean Grade Life Essence Spirit Water…'
He stood up, looking at the reflection on the clear life essence spirit water where his skin had gone paler than a vampire. He looked like an undead. However, color slowly returned to his face, making him sigh in relief.
It was unknown how many times his body had been destroyed, but he was glad that he was still the same. However, he continued looking at his hands.
The palm lines were still the same. It looked like nothing had changed much, yet when he imagined if he was going to make a fist, he felt like he could compress space within his hands or carry the weight of the entire world to unleash a punch.
This imaginary sensation got his heart exhilarated, making it pound in excitement.
He looked at the door and smirked.
Outside the palace, it was silent, but now-
*Booom!~*
A wave of tremendous silvery-gray energy shaped into a first shot through the entrance, causing numerous holes to form in the palace, leading all the way to the naked Davis, who appeared awed at his own power.
His fist just destroyed numerous walls of a High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Palace.
However, he quickly realized that the palace already had its structural integrity ruined by his cultivation process. He didn't recall facing any kind of tribulation, so he guessed this must've been the work of the tumultuous yet minute energy of the pill that had escaped the chaotic seed wreaking havoc or perhaps even the-
'Level Three Intent in Chaos Laws…'
Davis shuddered.
He never thought his Chaos Laws would increase three levels at once, making him delirious over it, as it should be known comprehending Chaos Laws would be the most difficult to achieve since it was something that originated in the beginning of time and not the middle or the end.
To find something like a chaotic resource would mean dwelling in the depths of the creation of the universe.
Difficult doesn't even begin to describe how arduous and dangerous it would be for an immortal in order to find a speck of chaos energy, much less an iota of essence.
If it weren't for finding a heavenly resource like the Divine Jade Cicada Fruit and the understanding of refining it right which the World Master derived, then he can say goodbye to creating something like the Chaotic Genesis Physique.
There were so many ticks he had to make there in order to get this physique.
Therefore, comprehending Level Three Intent in Chaos Laws was no different than comprehending a higher-tiered Law like the Five Elements, which Myria didn't even want to speak about due to the karmic burden on it.
However, that was long ago, and he guessed with all the bullshit he faced nowadays, it would be fine.
It was time for him to finally start talking about the true immortal world's secrets.
With a wave of his hands, his purple robe draped over him, exuding his fine regal magnificence. Taking a step forward, he hovered towards the exit, making it past the numerous holes he had created because of the punch he had unleashed before.
Hovering out of the palace, he saw a beauty in the distance.
She was draped in an exquisite white robe, her white hair gently swaying in the breeze. She sat on a mountain peak, the sun above magnifying her grace. Raising her hand, she adjusted the strands of her white hair behind her ear and turned to look in the direction of the palace, catching sight of him.
"…"
Davis couldn't help but reveal a heartened smile.
Everything about her made him feel like he was a young man, causing him to shake his head smilingly. With a blink, he quickly appeared beside her, taking a seat by her side on the rocky surface.
He raised his head to look at the skies, blinking as he belatedly realized that he might also be somewhere else.
After all, the skies were clear, no longer cloudy or emanating a destructive aura all year around. But the terrain was the same, so he recognized that he was still in the Divergent Peak, but the destructive aura had completely dispersed, making him unsure of where exactly he was.
He vaguely remembered karmic burden invading his soul. He was not sure if it was even karmic burden but he sure felt like it was.
Nonetheless, he returned his gaze to her, reaching out to hold her soft hand.
Myria didn't resist. She let him take his hand and leaned on his shoulder without saying anything, causing Davis to blink as he wondered if something happened.
"If you're alive, I guess you have succeeded."
He started the conversation, his lips curling, "Or did you die and become a Peak-Level Immortal King again before I even got out of seclusion?"
"If I could regain my cultivation that fast, I'd be ecstatic."
Myria's voice was calm and serene, "And I am."
Davis's brows raised.
Was she saying that she could do what he said with her new self?
So she had combined her Eternal Life Body Physique and Eternal Life Soul Physique? It made him wonder how much her prowess had increased.
"Well, do you not want to exchange pointers?"
"Perhaps next time."
Myria's voice was lackluster, but her warmth was still there, causing Davis to look away and nod.
His Myria wasn't certainly in a competitive mood because when he remembered last time how she lost and felt frustrated, he felt that she would be raring to go for a rematch but was now tame and tried to seek his warmth.
"You missed me?"
"Badly~"
Myria held his hand firmer, "Notwithstanding our souls being heavily attracted to each other."
"I know."
Davis raised his left hand and caressed her head, leaning to place a kiss on her forehead.
The moment he laid his eyes on her, he knew how badly his soul physique wanted her, even more so than what he previously felt, and the same could be said about her. Both of their soul physiques had undergone change, yet they remained the same, seeking each other.
Did this bode well for them? Davis didn't know.
After all, the more they attracted each other, the more he got the feeling it wasn't a good choice.
However, he had also made his decision, so backing out right now didn't seem to be a good choice either.
Even Myria looked all sumptuous as though ready to give herself up, making him unable to wait.
"So… let's go back? I'm sure a lot of days passed, and the others are waiting for us…"
Davis pursed his lips.
He actually couldn't sense Evelynn, Nadia and Everlight while Eldia was nowhere to be seen. He couldn't sense her either but he guessed she had gone back or something since he recognized the clash between chaotic energy and reincarnation energy which caused the world to react strangely might've spooked her.
"We can't…"
Myria uttered, making Davis's expression unfurl in confusion.
"…?"
"This place… it's sealed. I tried to leave but couldn't, so I gave up, waiting for you. The only one whom I can think of sealing this place is the World Master, but she hasn't shown up yet."
"Where is Eldia?" Davis's brows narrowed.
"She was here?"
Myria finally turned to look at him with her peerless beauty, her eyes blinking in surprise.
"I told her to protect both of us."
Davis stood up, turning to look around as he extended his senses. His soul sense didn't encounter any sort of resistance in the air and extended as smooth as butter. However, as soon as his soul sense hit the edge of the region, it was blocked.
It could no longer extend, and he couldn't even sense what kind of barrier it even was, leaving him dumbfounded.
It was like he hit a mental barrier or something.
He became solemn, imagining that the World Master took away Eldia since he couldn't see anyone else wanting to deal with literal annihilative heavenly lightning. However, for what reasons the World Master took her?
He could think of many, but his gaze flickered in astonishment as he saw the World Master and Eldia appear on the same mountain peak, walking side by side.
