District 42-Chapter 324: MMA appears again
A blue cape, representing imposingly the identity of an Aesir, could be seen in the distance. It stood out from the rest of the crowd and shone under the sun. It somewhat gave hope to people, even more when they saw the person whose that cape belonged to.
"B-Boss!?" Vick exclaimed once she saw the person that was walking inside the tent.
Casper, however, knew that man by another name and got flabbergasted once he realized who it was.
"MMA?" He muttered to himself, receiving a glance of the man as if he heard him.
The genius scientist of the Main Lab approached the group. His cold and smart eyes looked around as if he was analyzing every inch of that tent. In a matter of seconds, he was fully aware of the state of all the Aesirs and what possibly happened inside the Castle.
Even when looking at Vick, his expression didn’t change. Casper wondered if that guy had any emotions at all. He didn’t seem to be bothered by any of those sad things that were displayed in that tent. His friends were hurt, the Princess that he swore to protect was in a dangerous state, and the Castle that he lived in was now dominated by their worst enemies.
’I can’t believe...’ Casper looked around, seeing that everyone had the same impression of MMA as him. They also weren’t glad that he was acting like this, but they seemed to be used to this kind of behavior when it came to their leader.
Nonetheless, Casper wouldn’t be able to take that situation without getting exasperated.
Frowning hard, he circled Vick’s bed, giving heavy steps on the ground. His body was still somewhat hurt, but he wasn’t willing to stop there, no matter his condition.
The other Aesirs noticed why the White warrior was approaching him, but it was too late to prevent him from doing something.
"Hey, Casper--" Freygar tried to say, but got interrupted when the soldier stopped in front of MMA and stared at him while asking something.
"Are you that strong? So strong that you consider yourself to be a decisive factor for our victory?" Casper’s expression was grim and his voice lower than normal.
"Yes," MMA said, without hesitation. "I am strong. The strongest"
In the next moment, surprising everyone, Casper launched his hands towards the Boss and held him by the cape as if he was trying to strangle him.
"AND WHERE WERE YOU WHEN EVERYTHING HAPPENED!?" He roared.
Nobody in that tent ever saw the White warrior get so angry. He had always been calm and logical when he was near the other Aesirs. No one saw his wrath in the throne room as well. Seeing it for the first time was shocking.
"When everyone was risking their lives to protect that damn castle, where were you!? Since you are so strong like this, why didn’t you do your freaking job and protected your folk?" As Casper yelled in his face, he shook the guy like he was a lifeless puppet. He got so mad that the bandages couldn’t hold on and some of his wounds began to open again.
"You don’t have any idea of what these people needed to pass to survive! You don’t even know how many died in sacrifice to the others, you moron!"
MMA kept looking at him with that same coldness from before, but now with some disdain as well.
"I know." He spoke, nonchalantly. "More than half of our Ridire troops died in battle and thirty percent of our population got harmed, ten percent died."
That statement was supposed to break Casper’s arguments, but it just made him more irritated.
"If you knew all this time of such numbers and everything that happened inside there, why didn’t you do anything, scumbag!?" Casper this time swung his head backward and then launched it against MMA’s head.
A loud thud was heard. It echoed through the support base.
Not satisfied, Casper did it again, and again... and gain.
Nevertheless, MMA didn’t even move. His neck seemed like a tree trunk. The headbutts didn’t even scratch him, his face didn’t flinch as if he wasn’t harmed at all.
Frustrated, the White warrior stepped backward, raising his hand and assaulting the Aesir with consecutive punches to his head.
Every punch felt like he was hitting a hard rock. MMA’s face turned to the sides slightly, but it was all.
The soldier yelled furiously, going to deliver another blow, but was held by Rurik when he was charging the attack.
"I think that’s enough, White warrior. You are done already. I think that you made up for everyone’s frustration."
Casper looked at his hand, seeing that it was all bloody. He felt a huge pain on it right after, gritting his teeth to endure it.
The other Aesirs weren’t pleased to see his leader being spanked, but they would like to do the same at that moment. The Boss was always late and for different reasons every time. However, that day was the day when he couldn’t be late. They needed him in that harsh time.
Freygar, who was still calm despite feeling angered by MMA’s behavior, approached him.
"Please, just tell us why you are late again. What happened during the attack? You were inside the Castle, right?"
"Yes. I was inside the Castle. But I was doing something else." He replied, not bothered by Casper’s punches at all.
"And what is it, that is more important than the entire Castle?"
The Boss shook his head, denying.
"I passed this time doing something else precisely because the Castle is important." He sighed, annoyed that he needed to explain everything to them. He didn’t like storytelling at all.
He walked to a bed and sat on it.
"Don’t worry. I will clarify things. Once you hear the story, you will surely understand why I didn’t go help you while you were fighting that tough battle."
Freygar glanced at Rurik and Casper. The latter was getting calmer, so he wasn’t against the idea.
This way, they gathered around MMA and heard what he needed to say.
