Chapter 279: Shennong (1) f𝔯𝒆𝚎𝚠𝑒𝚋𝓃૦νℯƖ.co𝘮
"Specialist from all over the world. Welcome to Marianna's pride. As we had told you on your way here, please feel free to look around the hospital and give us a comment. Most of our present specialist is ready and available to answer all your queries, so feel free to ask."
"And please remember that on the fifth day of our seminar, we will be launching the newest generation medical product that will change this world. If you're anticipating this as well, stay with us, at least, until the end of the fifth day." Jason Deng said on the stage before excusing himself.
While the program was called a seminar, it was actually more of a trial-working program for the specialist. As long they register their name into the program, they're allowed to provide consultation and get used to the facilities available in this government hospital.
Of course, only those with experience on par with their bravery would directly get involved in this program. Due to the various practice worldwide regarding a diagnosis, prescription, and method, one wouldn't recklessly assume they're specialists in a country they had no idea about.
A simple fever would quickly go wrong and turned into something life-threatening if it was taken lightly.
This is also why, in healthcare, frequent practice, study, and sharing seminar has to be done multiple times in a year.
On the first few days, the seminar was greatly received by the specialists that attending the course. But while they're impressed by the state of art and technology, the living condition was not as urban as they prefer.
Some of them were turned off by the inconvenience and decided to leave early. As for those staying, it was because of the surprise on the fifth day.
And when the day finally came, Zhang Qin Feng made sure to remember each and everyone's expression at that moment.
The remaining 120 specialists in all kinds of medical fields were escorted by the people arranged by Jason Deng, along with a tablet computer, Luna Device, and electronic Presentation glasses.
Those curious about the devices they were given quickly tinkered and were soon impressed by the capability of these technologies. The Luna Device was programmed to link automatically as long the wearer exchange their mean of communication. It could even show the vital status of the wearer or exchange the information to another specialist if they wanted to.
The glasses would help them view further, record, or amplify whatever they wanted to view by voice control. It can connect with all the equipment available in this facility and the device in their hand.
As for the tablet computer, the device came with the latest medical software and the essential function. The accuracy of speech to text, voice and writing recognition, data transfer were ten times better than they have.
With this kind of equipment provided, the report from a doctor to another might be faster than a patient coming back from getting his X-Ray scanned or blood sample tested.
And while they're still overwhelmed by the technology, Jason Deng pulled the string to revealed an AI Unit to all the specialists in this hall. The plain decoration in this hall quickly set itself as chairs, tables, and stages for the representative to speak came up from the ground.
It was like how a world-class theater auditorium is setting itself for the audience.
[I am Shennong, the first Artificial Intelligence created by Wind Base Medical Technology]
[Welcome to Marianna's first Medical Seminar. If you have any questions in mind, please feel free to ask me]
The AI core revealed by Jason Deng took everyone by surprise as the application can be said to be just a vision. But right now, they're greeted by that AI itself, and it even has a name and designation.
"Shen-Nong? As in the God of Medicine in ancient times?" one of the specialists with half of the century of experience in traditional medicine asked.
[Hello, Specialist and Traditional Medicine Tutor, Wu Handan. It was an honor to have you with us today]
[The answer to your question is a "yes." I am given the name "Shennong" to praise God's selfless contribution to people's lives]
Everyone's attention was on the specialist called Wu Handan. Although his face is not unfamiliar in the world of medicine and healthcare, not everyone could recognize him right away unless they're from the same medical field.
"Specialist Wu, what about asking the first question? It would be an honor for our AI to get its first question asked by a veteran everyone knew." Jason Deng repeated what Zhang Qin Feng was telling him behind the scene.
"Great. I'm looking forward to seeing how the AI will answer my question. Are you ready, Shennong?" Wu Handan asked. He looked like a challenger of a dojo right now. Rather than competing using fist, they're going to use knowledge instead.
"Cordyceps Grasses, Kudzu, Jujube Dates, and Loquat were known as a few of our world's best medicine that came from nature. But these cannot be used to completely cure an illness. Why was that?"
"Can you answer me using the concept of Traditional medicine instead of going into detail with modern medicine?" Wu Handan asked. His question was a tough one.
The difficulties don't come from the question itself but more towards a practitioner's self-understanding of the history regarding traditional medicine.
[What a great question, Specialist Han]
It seems that the AI called Shennong does possess a certain degree of intelligence to converse fluently with all the specialists here. Furthermore, all it took was two minutes to process and generate an answer for the tricky question.
[The answer Specialist Han was looking for was actually a contradiction to the question itself. This AI's answer is because the four best medicine were representative of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter]
[Using Ginger to nourish the Yang in summer and eating Radish to replenish the Yin in winter. Strengthening physique with Lotus in the Spring and Cleansing the mind with pear in fall]
[All of this was the exact depiction of four seasons and medicinal belief]
"And?" Specialist Han felt a hint of enlightenment in his mind as if an answer he's been searching for was there yet wasn't really there.
[If there's a cure, why won't a season last?]
Shennong's reply struck the specialist's mind.
