Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100-Chapter 788: Trash
Chapter 788: Trash
Everyone in the restaurant standing in a stunned hush, the air heavy with disbelief and a faint scent of scorched lightning lingering from the clash just moments before. Eyes widened and faces turned pale as the truth of what they’d witnessed settled in—Max, merely at the 6th level of Master Rank, had crushed Julio, a peak Champion Rank genius of the Thunder Monarch Hall, as easily as snapping a twig.
To defeat a 2-star genius from one of the Seven Overlord Forces was something even most Legend Rank warriors would hesitate to do, yet Max stood there as if he’d merely swatted away an annoying fly, his calm demeanor unshaken, a faint sneer lingering on his lips
It overturned every belief about cultivation boundaries that these proud geniuses had ever held, sending tremors through their confidence and leaving them questioning the limits of power itself.
Josh’s face was twisted in fury, his voice sharp and trembling as he barked across the room, "Max! Let Julio go!" His aura was flaring wildly, strands of blue lightning crackling around his shoulders like coiling serpents, but he didn’t dare take a step forward, wary of the sword still pressed to Julio’s throat.
"How dare you hold someone hostage from the Thunder Monarch Hall?! Quickly let him go at once!" Young Master Omar shouted, veins bulging at his temples, his expression a mixture of rage and humiliation. The memory of Max robbing him back in the Berserk Lightning Region clearly still burned in his chest like a brand.
Meanwhile, Derek lounged back in his seat, fingers drumming lightly on the table, his lips curling into a mocking smile. He clearly relished every moment of this chaos, caring little for Julio’s fate. What delighted him most was seeing the mighty Thunder Monarch Hall tripped up and humiliated, their arrogance battered against the rock of Max’s unexpected might.
But Scott’s reaction was starkly different. His brows furrowed into a deep crease as he glared at the scene unfolding before him. The Mountain Gods Valley and Thunder Monarch Hall shared a deep alliance forged over countless years, and Scott himself had personally given Young Master Omar his word that there would be no casualties under his watch as they ventured into Lord Kome’s secret cave together.
Yet here they were, not even at the doorstep of the secret cave, and already one of Thunder Monarch Hall’s prized geniuses dangled on the verge of death, blood dripping from his mouth and lightning flickering weakly around him like dying embers.
Scott’s fingers tightened around the hilt of his spear, tension radiating off him in silent waves as he weighed whether he could afford to intervene—or whether facing Max might simply lead to more disaster.
His voice was even but rigid, like a blade drawn halfway from its scabbard as he said, "Your name is Max, right? You should let go of Julio. He’s a 2-star genius member of the Thunder Monarch Hall. By killing him, you would only bring down the wrath of the Thunder Monarch Hall. I believe you wouldn’t want that, would you?"
Max slowly turned his eyes toward Scott, his icy gaze cutting sharper than any sword, the faintest of sneers twisting his lips. His voice came out soft but dripping with scorn, "You mean, if he wants to kill me, then it’s okay...but if I want to kill him, then suddenly it’s not? Is that what you’re trying to say?"
Scott’s jaw clenched, a muscle ticking violently in his cheek as his expression darkened like the sky before a storm. He shot back coldly, "How can your life possibly be worth more than the life of a 2-star genius from Thunder Monarch Hall?" His tone was steeped in condescension, as though stating an obvious fact written into the very laws of the world—that the worth of a genius from one of the Seven Overlord Forces towered above all others.
Max let out a low, humorless laugh, his sneer deepening as his eyes glittered like shattered glass. "2-star genius? A genius, you say?" he repeated, his voice rising with biting contempt. "A genius in the peak Champion Rank who’s defeated by a 6th level Master Rank... can he still be called a genius?" His hand tightened abruptly around Julio’s throat, and the sound of bones creaking under pressure echoed in the silence.
Julio’s face turned an ugly shade of purple as he choked out a rasping, trembling plea, "Senior... brother... Young Master... save me..." His eyes rolled, blood dribbling from the corner of his lips as his arms flailed weakly, fingers scrabbling at Max’s iron-like grip.
"You dare?!" Young Master Omar bellowed, his aura flaring wildly, sparks of purple lightning leaping off his body and splitting the air around him with harsh cracks. His face was twisted into a mask of rage and humiliation, veins bulging at his temples as he stabbed a trembling finger at Max. "If you dare to kill him, I won’t just kill you—I’ll slaughter your entire family!" His roar boomed across the restaurant like a war drum, sending chairs rattling and plates shivering on the tables.
The chill that descended into Max’s eyes was like winter ice glazing over a pond, crystalline and merciless as he stared at Young Master Omar, his voice dropping to a low, steely edge that carried across the silent room. "He was bound to die the moment he dared stand up to kill me. And your threats," Max’s lip curled into a scornful sneer, "only erased the last hesitation I had."
In that instant, the faint glow of golden light shimmered along his veins as Max channeled the fearsome power of his six hundred Draconic Essences, his body radiating a barely contained fury and primordial strength. Muscles flexed beneath his robes, and with a tightening of his fingers around Julio’s throat, it was clear he intended to snap the man’s neck like a twig.
But before the fatal twist could come, two shadows shot forward like striking vipers, the air splitting with sharp howls of murderous intent.
