Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1252: It Might Involve Dying
Allison strode down the dimly lit corridor, the soft glow of the overhead lights casting long shadows on the walls. As she rounded a corner, she suddenly felt a strong tug on her arm. Before she could react, she was pulled into a small, cramped space.
The door shut behind her with a faint *click*.
The faint scent of cleaning solvents hit her as her eyes adjusted to the darkness of what she quickly realized was a storage closet. Her instincts kicked in, and she raised her hands, ready for a fight. But as her eyes focused, her defensive stance faltered.
"Marian?" she asked, startled.
Commander Marian stood before her, her expression an intense mix of emotions—longing, pain, and something desperate. There were tears brimming in her eyes, making the hardened soldier seem almost fragile.
"Allison," Marian whispered, her voice shaky but filled with yearning.
Allison immediately averted her gaze, unease rippling through her. "What are you doing?" she asked, trying to step back, but the small space offered no reprieve.
Marian didn’t answer. Instead, she reached forward and grabbed Allison by the collar, pulling her into a sudden and deeply passionate kiss. Her lips moved fervently against Allison’s, her hands trembling as they roamed Allison’s sides, hesitating as if asking permission to explore further.
Allison’s eyes widened in shock. Her arms hovered in the air, unsure of how to react. But as Marian’s touch grew bolder, Allison abruptly pushed herself away, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
"No," Allison said firmly, her voice laced with finality. She took a deep breath to steady herself. "I’m not doing this, Marian. That part of our lives—it’s over."
Marian looked stricken, panic flashing across her face. She stepped closer, her hands trembling as they reached out but stopped just short of touching Allison. "If it’s about the past—about me not believing you when you said Alpha Victor was compromised—I’m sorry," she pleaded, her voice cracking. "I was wrong, Allison. I know that now. I should’ve trusted you—or at least ran away with you when you asked me. But at the time, I... I was scared, the prophecy I was given back then... I... am sorry!"
Marian had an intense gaze in her eyes, "I don’t even care if you have had other lovers, I just want you... I just..."
Allison shook her head, exhaling sharply as she turned slightly, trying to put distance between them. "It’s not about that," she replied, her tone calmer but resolute. "It’s about now I’ve moved on. I’ve found someone else."
Marian’s breath hitched. The desperation in her eyes deepened as she stepped closer again, her voice trembling. "I missed you, Allison," she confessed. "I missed you so much that it hurt Day and night, I thought about you. I thought about ending it all because I couldn’t bear it anymore."
Marian leaned in again, her voice barely a whisper now. "You were my everything."
Allison, growing frustrated, placed both hands firmly on Marian’s shoulders and pushed her back. Her voice carried a sharp edge now. "Marian, stop. It’s not going to happen. I’ve moved on, and you need to let go."
Marian froze, her expression shifting from heartbreak to something darker. Her voice dropped to a mocking tone as she crossed her arms, her vulnerability turning into spite. "Moved on, huh? To who? Is it Enel? Our so-called *king*? the dimming shadow of a once great man that will never please you." Her lips curled into a sneer. "Or is it his father? Tell me, Allison, are you a hoe now? Passed between father and son like some common—"
*Smack!*
The sharp sound of Allison’s hand striking Marian’s cheek echoed in the cramped closet. Marian stumbled slightly, clutching her face as she stared at Allison in stunned silence.
"Watch your mouth," Allison said, her voice low but venomous. Her eyes burned with anger. "You will show respect to MY KING And you will show respect to me as his bonded mate."
The words hung in the air like a death knell. Marian’s jaw tightened, but she said nothing as Allison turned and pushed open the door. The hallway lights flooded in as Allison stormed out, her waist swaying angrily behind her.
Marian stayed behind, her fingers lightly brushing over the spot where she’d been struck. Her expression shifted again, this time to something far more sinister. Her eyes darkened, and her lips curled into a twisted smile as venomous thoughts consumed her.
"If I can’t have you, Allison," she murmured to herself, her voice a chilling whisper, "then no one can."
.....
Enel stood by the expansive window of the control room, his eyes wandering over the vibrant expanse of the new plane they had landed on. Rolling meadows stretched far into the horizon, shimmering under the soft light of a pale sun. Rivers coursed through the land like silver veins, bordered by lush trees that swayed gently in the cool breeze. The air carried an unspoken promise, a strange mixture of beauty and untamed mystery that Enel couldn’t help but find mildly intriguing.
The sound of footsteps broke his thoughts, followed by a deep, rumbling voice.
"Your Majesty."
Enel turned slightly, catching the towering figure of Commander Kael standing behind him. The seasoned warrior, a hulking presence with scarred features and a grizzled beard, had an apologetic look on his face. His usual stern demeanor was softened, almost as if he were approaching a deity.
"The preparations to explore the plane are ready," Kael reported, his voice steady but tinged with a hint of hesitance.
Enel sighed, waving a hand dismissively. "It’s no matter, Commander. I trust you’ll do what needs to be done."
Kael’s posture stiffened further, and he took a step forward, lowering his head slightly. "I… also wanted to apologize, my king," he said, his tone deferential. "For how I treated you when you first arrived. I was blind. I didn’t recognize the king of the Lenny family. I deeply regret my disrespect."
Enel turned fully now, one brow raised in mild amusement. "Kael, save the bootlicking," he said dryly, though the faintest smirk tugged at his lips.
Kael flushed slightly but pushed on, undeterred. "Even so, Your Majesty, if there’s anything you ever need, anything at all, do not hesitate to ask. You have my full loyalty."
Enel chuckled softly, waving his arm as if swatting away the excessive groveling. "Understood, Kael. Now, go do your job."

Kael straightened, saluted sharply, and turned on his heel to leave. As the door slid shut behind him, it opened again almost immediately, allowing another figure to step inside.
This time, it was a woman—strikingly taller than him with flowing white hair, piercing white eyes, and an unmistakable air of authority. Not because the place was hers, but because it was in her nature as royalty.
Her movements were graceful but purposeful, her presence commanding without effort, even though this was not her land.
Enel didn’t need to look twice to recognize her. His expression shifted slightly, the corner of his mouth quirking in an unreadable smile.
"Lana," he said, his tone both acknowledging and teasing.
His half-sister, Lana, strode into the room, her eyes locking onto his as a faint smirk played on her lips. "Brother," she said smoothly, her voice carrying an edge of mischief.
"I need you to do something for me. Do you think that you are up to it? It might involve dying..."
