Enel took another agonizing step, and then another. The cavern seemed to tremble with each advance, the force pushing against him waning not out of relentlessness but out of fear. The arrow pulsed wildly, its once calm, radiant glow shifting erratically as it "watched" him approach.

"Stop!" the voice from the arrow cried out, no longer sultry or teasing but panicked. It could see deeper now, into the core of Enel’s soul, and what it found was no flicker of love, no promise of redemption. Instead, with every determined step he took, the fire of hate within him grew, blazing brighter and stronger.

"This is not right!... No, Not Again." the arrow’s voice trembled, laced with something it had never known before—fear.

But Enel didn’t stop. Blood dripped steadily from his face, painting his path as he trudged forward, his body threatening to collapse under the immense strain. His breaths were ragged, yet his resolve burned hotter than the pain.

Meanwhile, a figure emerged from the shadows of the cavern entrance. Perseus, flanked by a group of werewolves, froze at the sight before him. His vibrant green electricity crackled faintly around him, the remnant energy of his journey here, as his glowing eyes widened in awe and disbelief.

"Is that... one of the princes?" Perseus whispered, barely audible.

The werewolves behind him muttered amongst themselves, equally stunned. They had followed Perseus through the Eternal Pool, using specialized protective suits to survive its overwhelming magic.

Perseus had a knack for finding treasures, especially because his green electricity acted as eyes for his mind.

That was how he knew that there was a flowing river underneath the city, which seemed like a good place for hiding incredible treasure.

They had arrived just in time to witness a spectacle none of them could have imagined.

Perseus watched as Enel, bloodied and battered but unrelenting, defied the laws of the holy artefact. He didn’t know much about Enel beyond his royal lineage, but watching him now—his sheer willpower to push forward despite insurmountable odds—was nothing short of extraordinary, and reminded him of someone.

"What is he doing?" one of the werewolves murmured, his voice tinged with unease.

"Surviving," Perseus replied, his voice laced with intrigue.

Finally, Enel reached the base of the giant arrow, his body trembling uncontrollably, blood pooling at his feet. He raised a shaking hand, and with immense effort, he stretched his fingers toward the artefact.

"Don’t touch me!" the arrow screamed, its voice shrill and desperate.

But Enel ignored the warning, his blood-stained fingertips brushing against its crystal surface.

The moment he made contact, a deafening shriek erupted from the arrow. Its pristine crystal exterior cracked violently, spreading like lightning across its body. The radiant, holy energy that once defined it seemed to vanish, replaced by an ominous, inky blackness. The entire arrow began to shift, transforming from its ethereal crystal form into gleaming black iron, its surface reflecting the hate burning within Enel.

The honey-like substance that had once dripped from its tip turned dark and viscous, spilling onto the ground as venom. The cavern itself seemed to shudder, reacting to the arrow’s corruption.

"What… what is he doing to it?" This time, Perseus asked the question, his usually confident voice shaken.

Enel, however, didn’t flinch. His hand remained on the arrow as he stared into its transforming form, his expression one of grim satisfaction.

The arrow shrieked once more, and before anyone could react, it shattered into shards of black iron that swirled into the air. They coalesced in a blinding burst of dark light before plunging directly into Enel’s forehead.

He collapsed to his knees, his body writhing as the shards embedded themselves within him. Inside his mind, a cascade of alerts echoed, cold and mechanical:

<Alert: Power source for system found: Holy Tool of Hate.>

<Alert: Satan System Rebooted.>

<Alert: Holy Tool acquired.>

<Alert: New Titled acquired: Hate’s Vanguard>

<Alert: New Skill unlocked: Punisher’s Hate: Through hatred, punish foe to increase in points and skill.>

<Alert: Reestablishing connection with Lenny Family>

<Alert,: Does Host Need to reestablish connection with old system?>

"No," Enel immediately answered.

Enel’s eyes snapped open, their blue hue now burning with a dark, hellish fire. He grinned faintly, blood still trickling from his face. "Finally," he whispered, his voice low and laced with something far more dangerous than before. And also a deep satisfaction.

Perseus stepped forward, his green electricity crackling as he tried to understand what he had just witnessed. "Enel... you are the last child right? Thd one hhat belonged to our own Allison." He frowbed a bit, "demon blood, Angel blood, blood of solomon, and finally Werewolfblood... what exactly are you?"

Enel turned his gaze toward Perseus, the faint glow of the arrow’s remnants pulsing in the center of his forehead. He wiped the blood from his lips, his grin widening.

"I am what I need to be."

Perseus’ frown deepened, his sharp green eyes locking onto Enel. Slowly, he raised a hand toward the young prince, his fingers crackling faintly with restrained energy.

"I’ll be straight honest with you, kid," Perseus said, his voice low but firm. "Your grandfather and I had a very good relationship. If you hand over the forbidden treasure now, I’ll reconsider letting you leave in peace. Otherwise…" His hand clenched into a fist, the faint green sparks dissipating. "I’ll have to force it from you."

The directness in Perseus’ tone carried weight, a no-nonsense authority earned through years of hard battles.

Enel’s bloodied face tilted slightly, his expression unreadable, before breaking into a faint chuckle. He looked at Perseus peculiarly, as though assessing him for the first time.

"So," Enel murmured, amusement flickering in his tone, "the little Perseus of that time has grown into something formidable." His grin widened, though it was strained by his injuries. "Back then, you were always quiet in the background, like a shadow. No presence at all."

Perseus didn’t understand his words. But didn’t react to the veiled taunt, his face carved into a statue-like stoicism, but the werewolves behind him exchanged uneasy glances. The tension in the cavern thickened, as if the air itself waited for what would happen next.

Enel slowly stood, his body trembling from the strain but his spirit unyielding. He could feel the raw power radiating from Perseus—it was clear the man had more strength, magic, power. Still, curiosity burned within Enel.

He was like a mentor wanting to see what his young apprentice has been up to.

He rolled his shoulders and shifted into a fighting stance, his grin now sharp with challenge. "Out of respect for my grandfather... your friend," he said, his voice steady despite his condition, "I’ll make this simple: fight me for it. No magic, no rank, just pure skill. Man to man."

The challenge hung in the air like an electric charge.

Perseus raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a faint smirk of his own. "You’re serious?"

"Deadly," Enel replied. He spat blood onto the ground and spread his arms mockingly. "Or are you afraid the ’kid’ will make you look bad?"

One of the werewolves growled low in his throat, stepping forward to intervene, but Perseus raised a hand to stop him.

"Stay back," he ordered, his eyes never leaving Enel. "This is between me and him."

He stepped forward, shrugging off his long coat and tossing it aside. With a fluid motion, Perseus assumed a fighting stance of his own, his movements practiced and deliberate.

"No magic," Perseus agreed. His tone was calm but carried a hint of intrigue. "But don’t cry when I put you on your back, kid."

Enel’s grin widened as his bloodied fists tightened. "Let’s see how far you’ve come."
