DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 341: Hidden Asset.
He has heard from Wrath about many worlds that were so strong that they defeated the first expedition. He has also read about them. One of them is the world of the Sparkions.
The Sparkions are a race of spiritual beings with the sole ability to possess inanimate things and give them life. They used this ability to defeat the first expedition of the Yggdrasil civilization that came to their world by turning their mothership against them.
He read that their whole world was enslaved and the Sparkion race was used to create a fleet of gods. Their fate was to be like the slaves of the first division in the army.
Despite their power and potential, the Yggdrasil civilization didn't choose to convince them to become their subordinates. Instead, they enslaved them at all costs.
The second expedition, which conquered their world, was many times stronger than the first expedition. From then on, their potential was used to benefit the Yggdrasil.
When he thought about this, he looked back at the mothership lying on the ground. In his vision, he saw a great beast. It was so powerful that a demigod looked like a firefly close to it.
He hadn't noticed this about the mothership when he first laid his eyes on it. It was because it wasn't awake then.
He hadn't noticed it when the mothership became awake either. It was because there were five demigods around him. They occupied his attention and blinded him to what was going on around him.
It was after he had gone a certain distance away from the demigods and the mothership and was able to look at the mothership as a whole that he was able to notice that it wasn't an ordinary mothership like the previous one they took to the Lignum world.
He murmured to himself, "So there is a god participating in this expedition after all. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing."
The mothership is a god. He knows that for sure. And from what he has heard from Wrath about what the Sparkions were used for, he can infer that the mothership is one such Sparkion.
So, on the surface, the first expedition only has five demigods. But there is a hidden god.
As usual, he doesn't know if that is a good thing or not. He still remembers Wrath saying that once a god is involved in an expedition, the possibility of an army wipeout becomes a real possibility.
The god is out in the open, yet not many people have noticed it.
"Probably only the highest-ranked officers in Command and the commanders know about the mothership. They didn't announce it earlier, so they want to keep it secret. Everyone in the army has been fooled into thinking we only have demigods here. I hope the vampires will be fooled too."
He hopes the soldiers of the army are not the only ones ignorant of the presence of a god. He also hopes that the enemies will be ignorant of this too.
He shook his head and began to think about what he might gain from this expedition.
Unlike the Lignum world, this world has a lot of useful abilities for him. He has been looking forward to many of them ever since he read the information about the Umbra world.
There are many races in this world who have some sort of magnetic ability or ability to manipulate magnetic fields. He is looking forward to them and also to the abilities of the vampires.
There are four main types of vampires. They range in power from the lesser vampires to the higher vampires. The strongest is the primordial vampire.
He has acquired two abilities of the lesser vampires, namely, the blood clone and infrared vision abilities. He would like to update his repertoire of abilities with those of the higher vampires and primordial vampires.
He would also like to get some of the abilities of the Kunut race.
There are three types of Kunuts. There are the sexual non-reproductives. These are the majority of their population. freewebnσvel.cѳm
The sexual non-reproductive are Kunuts with both the male and female sex organs. A single individual possesses both types of reproductive systems, but they don't reproduce.
They don't reproduce because reproduction is energy intensive. An active reproduction system costs a lot of energy, which will require a lot of food. An active reproduction will also make them bigger and less mobile.
Once they start laying eggs, they will expand in size, which will limit their mobility. This will make hunting more difficult. Without food, they will become weak, and they will die.
So most of the population doesn't reproduce. They actively stunt the operation of their reproductive system. This makes the reproductive system shrink and helps them maintain a smaller size that can move quickly with the aid of their ability to latch onto the magnetic winds.
Reproduction is done by a select few of the population who are jointly designated to reproduce. These few, who are about 1% of the population, produce all the offspring.
The reproductives can't move, so the rest of the population takes care of them. The non-reproductives also take care of the third type of Kunuts, called the wayfarer.
The wayfarers shrink all their non-essential organs and direct all their growth potential into their shell. This causes their shell to grow to gigantic proportions and also enhances their ability to ride the magnetic fields.
In theory, wayfarers can grow without limit. But this kind of development requires a lot of food.
This food is provided by the non-reproductive. In exchange, the non-reproductive and reproductive live within the shell of the wayfarers.
So wayfarers are their cities. Most of the population works to gather food, which they use to feed the reproductives in a community and the single wayfarer that they live in.
The more food they give the wayfarer, the bigger it becomes. The bigger it becomes, the more living space they get. The more living space they have, the larger their community can become. The larger their community becomes, the more food they can acquire to feed the wayfarer. And the more food they give the wayfarer, the bigger it will become.
