DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 336: Good Or Bad.
The military has many strict rules. One of them is that he mustn't fly here even if he can.
He can understand why after seeing drones buzzing ahead like busy bees. Someone that flies will interfere with their work and might cause a crash.
Eventually, he gained access to the mothership. His access was limited, of course. He could only stay on the assembly floor.
Wrath had told him that the mothership has dormitories and sleeping bunks, but that they are not meant to be used. She had said that if they have to be used, then something is very wrong with the expedition.
He can understand why. He had only used the last mothership to go to the Lignum world. He didn't spend up to one hour in the mothership.
He saw the mothership many times after he disembarked. But he never got back onto it again. Apparently, that is a good thing.
There were already soldiers on the assembly floor. In front was the first division. They were packed like sardines in a tin.
In the middle of the assembly floor was the second division. They were the ones who looked the part of soldiers. They wore identical equipment and stood in a neat formation.
The soldiers of the second division were completely silent. Even the slaves of the first division were silent too. Only the third division was chatting and making noise.
The third division was scattered. Some of them were standing alone, like Kelvin. But many others were together in a small group chatting.
He said in disdain, "Even when I was a noob, I wasn't so chatty."
He was actually chatty. He just wasn't chatting with other soldiers. His conversations were always with Wrath.
There were soldiers who didn't talk at all. They stood with solemn faces. Some of them were even nervous.
He could understand why they would be like that. He remembers what Wrath had said about some soldiers being traumatized by their experience on the foreign battlefield. But the only thing he could feel was excitement and anticipation for the battle that was to come.
His excitement only increased when he felt the approaching dangerous entity. His body tingled with an equal proportion of fear and excitement.
He would have been more afraid than excited if he didn't know that he had nothing to worry about from the danger. He knows that they won't hurt him intentionally, so he has the leisure to feel excitement.
But his sensation of danger couldn't be quelled, though. Even though he knows that they won't harm him intentionally, it doesn't change the fact that these beings are powerful enough to crush him easily.
But others were not as fortunate as him. When the air began to stagnate and the temperature of the room began to rise, everyone felt the threat of death.
Some people fainted immediately. Some tried to run only to faint after taking a single step.
Only the first division, the second division, and some soldiers of the third division could continue standing. Even then, many of them were shivering.
They knew that there was little danger from these entities, but thay couldn't stop their natural reaction to the danger.
Fortunately, the sensation of danger lessened after the demigods lessened their presence. People could breathe again, and those who fainted could stand after being kicked.
The demigods had reduced their presence, but their figure was still hazy. As for Kelvin, the reduction of their presence didn't reduce the sensation of danger that he could feel from them.
It was both a good thing and a bad thing for him that he could still perceive the immense amount of danger that they represented. It meant that he is not easy to fool. But it also meant that he had to continue bearing the sensation of danger.
There were five of them. This was two times more than the number of demigods for his previous expedition. So what he had to bear was many times his last expedition.
He said to himself, "Fortunately, I'm stronger now. I should be able to take on the presence of five demigods and a true god. I just hope that the true god is not an asshole. I will take a cherry character like Aganju any day."
But as he waited, a true god didn't appear. One of the demigods stepped forward to speak to them.
It was the demigod in the center. He or she was flanked by two demigods and their right and left.
The demigod rose into the air above them and spoke. Their voice made them out to be a woman.
She said, "I am Dancing Flower. I will be the superior commander in charge of this expedition. On my left and right are my first, second, third, and fourth commanders. Together, we five will be the leaders of this expedition."
When Kelvin heard this, he thought to himself, "I should have known that there wouldn't be a true god when I already saw the slaves of the first division assembled in the hall."
"Last time, it was Aganju that brought the slaves of the first division into the ship. It seems there really won't be a true god in this expedition. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing."
The absence of a true god means that it is unlikely that the enemies they will fight will have true gods too. So no one would be reading the minds of the soldiers wantonly.
This was a good thing, but it also meant that these demigods are the best combatants they will have. If a true god somehow appears on the side of the enemies, then they are doomed.
There is also the fact that without a true god present, his mission to ask a god about the core of the world and who can gain access to it is a bust.
He thought to himself, "It looks like I will have to wait for another chance or find another option for information."
He was thinking about this while the superior commander continued speaking.
