Chapter 1010: Chapter 732: Borrowing Seed

Roger just wanted to step forward to kick the door, but was pulled down by the middle-aged man beside him, "Don’t waste your effort, it’s no use. We’re just ordinary people. Once the door is closed, we can’t go in again."

At this moment, the pattern condensed on the door spread to both sides and then wrapped around the entire area at an extremely fast speed.

"Hurry up, we need to find the next safe point." The middle-aged man could no longer take care of Roger and ran desperately towards the distance.

Roger glanced back at the pattern on the door and quickly followed.

The visibility around them was getting lower and lower. The bustling street just now was now dead silent. Just as the middle-aged man was feeling a bit hopeless, a door on the side of the street suddenly opened, and a hand reached out from inside.

"You’re really courting death, hurry up and get in here!"

"Thank heavens!" The middle-aged man was overjoyed, mustering all his strength to rush towards the nearby house.

Though he looked physically strong, years of heavy labor had almost depleted his strength. The anxiety, combined with continuous running, caused his energy to gradually wane.

Following behind him, Roger could hear the sound of his breath, like a bellows.

"Hurry up, faster!"

A voice inside the room shouted urgently.

"Close the door already." Another voice inside responded impatiently. It sounded young, and somewhat exasperated.

"If we don’t close the door, we’ll die outside with him!"

"Wait for me!"

"I’m almost there!"

Hearing their conversation, how could the middle-aged man not be anxious? Somehow, he found a burst of strength, feeling his body lighten, and his speed seemed to increase out of nowhere.

"Here I come, I’m here!"

At the last moment, the middle-aged man shouted as he dashed to the doorway.

Just then, he suddenly felt a tightness in his body, as if a powerful force from behind bound him slightly, causing his forward momentum to pause and stop at the doorstep by a hair’s breadth.

First a trace of confusion surged through his heart, followed by complete anger. He spun around to look at the young face.

"What are you doing?!"

"If I hadn’t been kind enough to say a few words to you, how could I be so unlucky!"

The man glared angrily at Roger.

Yet, upon hearing his accusation, Roger’s expression remained unchanged. He responded calmly.

"You can’t go in."

Saying this, he stepped past the man’s body and gripped the arm that had reached out from the door.

"Damn it, so you intended to abandon me!" the middle-aged man yelled, and the next moment he saw Roger’s hand pass straight through the waving arm.

"This..."

Startled, he quickly snapped out of his boundless anger, and at this moment, a noisy sound came from inside the room.

"Good intentions have bad returns, you all can die out there!"

Though the voice was nearby, listening carefully it seemed like dozens of people were speaking at once, then the middle-aged man saw the arm gradually become illusionary, disappearing rapidly into the air.

"Interesting,"

Roger chuckled lightly.

If he wasn’t mistaken, that arm belonged to a real Spiritual Body.

It was something similar to a resentful spirit, not uncommon in another world, but here in this soul-oriented evolution world.

This was the first Soul Body Roger had encountered.

He opened his hand, allowing the power of the Aden Dharma Seal to envelop it, then flicked his wrist, gripping the arm just before it disappeared.

"Come out!"

By now, it was completely dark, and the slightly pale arm stood out in such an environment.

With the power of the Aden Dharma Seal, Roger could physically touch souls. The body he was using had undergone several modifications, making it quite strong. He pulled hard, enough to send a bull flying.

But then something astonishing happened to Roger.

He tightened his pale grip and, amidst the shaking, pulled out a nearly five-meter arm from the room.

And it wasn’t the end.

As his body’s strength increased, even longer arms were being pulled out from the room.

It was as if he found a thread in a tangled mess.

"Monster!"

"What kind of monster is this?"

The middle-aged man shouted and staggered back, only now realizing that just a random thought had somehow moved his body meters away.

In panic, he looked down at his body. As the darkness encroached, he and the environment became an indivisible whole.

"What happened?"

Looking up, he soon saw another self in a different place just over a dozen meters away.

The other self lay on the ground, eyes bulging open, face deathly pale, seemingly long dead.

"Am I dead?!"

He shouted out in terror, completely ignoring the bizarre arms around the house.

"It’s over, we’re done for!"

The advent of darkness happened faster than expected. In fact, as soon as the two left that sheltering house, their surroundings turned upside down.

The running middle-aged man didn’t notice this, and was affected by a strange power causing the separation of his soul and body.

Had it not been for Roger’s prevention earlier, he would have been pulled into the darkness by that pale arm.
