Deities Are All Just My Food-Chapter 2250 - 1004: The Bloody Wedding Photo! (Part 2)
Where’s the face?
Really don’t want it anymore!
Sister Goryeo was also slightly shocked by the image disillusionment.
In her heart, such a big shot shouldn’t be acting so cautiously, but rather solo clearing.
"What are we going to do?"
Cowgirl looked at the two: "I suggest we stick together!"
"If something unexpected happens, we can look out for each other!"
"I think that’s a good idea!"
Liao Hongming immediately nodded.
Whoosh!
The three of them looked over.
"Wh... what’s wrong?"
Liao Hongming felt a bit scared.
"Heh, do you know your place?"
Black Jiang Ge smiled, but with an expression like looking at trash: "If your nationality wasn’t the same as God Lin’s, I’d have killed you long ago!"
A worthless fish, what right does it have to stand by my side and speak out?
"Get lost!"
Sister Goryeo scolded irritably.
Liao Hongming finally understood; it turns out these people had never looked him in the eye, they thought he was unworthy of discussing with them or taking action together.
The three of them went to find a house, although no one said it, they all stayed close to Lin Baici.
Soon, only Liao Hongming was left outside in the small town.
Listening to the distant and faint sounds of crows calling, he felt a bit flustered, wanting to hurry into a house, but looking at the wooden cabins, his indecisiveness struck.
Always wanting to pick the safest one.
After hesitating for more than ten minutes, Liao Hongming finally chose one, but as soon as he walked over, he suddenly felt as though a shadow flashed across the window.
"Someone?"
Liao Hongming was startled and quickly ran to Lin Baici’s cabin, then knocked on the door.
Bang bang! Bang bang!
"God Lin, I think I saw someone!"
Not hearing Lin Baici respond, Liao Hongming knocked harder: "Really, I’m not lying to you!"
Just as Liao Hongming was pondering how to convince Lin Baici, he suddenly felt a tightness around his right ankle, as though something like a rope had wrapped around it.
Then that ’rope’ pulled with force.
Bam!
Liao Hongming was yanked to the ground, his entire front facing down, fell under the wooden steps, and was immediately dragged down further.
"God Lin, help me!"
"There’s a monster!"
"Help me!"
Liao Hongming shouted, kicking his feet and grabbing wildly with his hands.
Rip! Rip!
Liao Hongming was being dragged on the ground.
He looked back and saw it.
What was entwining his ankle was an adult’s wrist-thick, octopus tentacle-like thing.
It had burst out from the house he had just eyed earlier.
Now the house door was wide open, like a monster’s mouth, and the tentacle was like a lizard’s tongue, wrapping around its prey and dragging it towards its mouth.
"Help!"
Liao Hongming shouted, though he exerted all his strength, he was still dragged into the house.
Then that door shut with a thud, as if it had never been opened.
...
It wasn’t that Lin Baici wouldn’t save him, but after he entered the house, the door closed on its own, and this thing completely isolated any sound from outside.
Lin Baici hadn’t heard Liao Hongming’s cries for help at all.
The house didn’t look big, but the interior space was quite ample.
In front of Lin Baici was a corridor, roughly ten meters long, with two doors to the side, locked.
Lin Baici didn’t force the locks open, continued forward, at the end, turned left, into a living room.
Lin Baici gave it a quick glance; there was a sofa, a TV cabinet, with an old TV on top, the kind with a cathode ray tube, probably older than Lin Baici’s mother.
To the right of the living room was a fireplace, not lit, and on the wall beside it hung several beast head specimens.
The largest and most beautiful was a moose head, with two lavishly large antlers.
Next to the specimen was a display cabinet with a double-barreled shotgun and a flintlock pistol inside, styled like a handgun.
Lin Baici didn’t enter the living room.
At the end of this corridor were two staircases, one going up, one going down.
Lin Baici glanced downwards, it was pitch black, nothing could be seen, so he chose to go up.
Squeak! Squeak!
Lin Baici stepped on the wooden stairs, making a harsh noise, somewhat creepy in this silent cabin.
Upstairs, it was another corridor, but this time, on each side of the corridor, there were three iron doors, the left side all locked, the right side all ajar.
Lin Baici didn’t check them.
The staircase continued upwards, Lin Baici had just stepped onto the first step, when creak, a door behind him sounded.
Lin Baici immediately turned around.
It’s the second door on the right.
Lin Baici stared at the slowly widening crack in the door, and just as he hesitated whether to go over and take a look...
Bang!
The iron door slammed shut.
If it were an ordinary person, they’d be scared and run away, but Lin Baici wasn’t. He calmly took out the White Deer Horn Bone Flute from his pocket, wanting to bring out what was called the Ghostbusters’ Fire Axe.
However, the Bone Flute couldn’t be used.
Lin Baici had already guessed this possibility, so he wasn’t anxious. He activated the Power of Hundred Horses instead.
Hmm!
Divine Grace could be used!
Lin Baici continued upstairs, but the stairwell was covered by an iron plate.
Locked!
Lin Baici came down, hesitated for a moment, and didn’t check the room that opened earlier, going straight to the living room.
Lin Baici looked around, even checking under the sofa, found nothing unusual, and walked to the display cabinet to take down the double-barreled shotgun.
Click!
Lin Baici snapped open the gun barrel, took a glance, then closed it and pulled the trigger!
Click! Click!
No bullets, this thing couldn’t be used.
Lin Baici had to give up, and then he walked to the fireplace.
Beside it was a metal rack with some chopped firewood, a shovel, tongs, and even a rusty hand axe.
Lin Baici kicked the hand axe with his right foot!
Snap!
The hand axe flew up, Lin Baici caught it, then swung it a couple of times to test the grip.
Pretty good!
Ring ring!
The sudden sound slightly startled Lin Baici. He turned his head and saw a cabinet on the right, with an old black telephone on it.
The kind with a rotary dial.
Ring ring! Ring ring!
The phone kept ringing.
Lin Baici walked over and picked up the phone.
"Hello sir, your insurance has expired, would you like to renew?"
It was a telemarketing call.
"Sir, are you listening?"
Lin Baici didn’t answer; he wasn’t sure if speaking would trigger danger.
[Renew!]
"I’d like to renew!"
Lin Baici’s voice was unhurried.
"Thank you for supporting our company. Please complete the transfer within one day!"
"Have a pleasant life!"
Buzz!
The other party hung up the phone.
"Could there be trouble if I don’t renew?"
Lin Baici asked, but Eater God was silent.
Lin Baici squatted down, rummaging through the cabinet, hoping to find a phone directory.
It would be great if he could find the phone number for Xia Hongyao and their cabin, making communication easy.
Lin Baici searched high and low, but found nothing, then he went up to the second floor, coming to the door that had shut in front of him earlier.
"Hey, stop hiding, I saw you!"
Lin Baici spoke, tapping the wall with the hand axe.
Inside, there was no movement.
Lin Baici pushed the door open with the hand axe.
There was no monster, just a very ordinary European-style bedroom.
There was a big bed with dusty bedding, a vanity with a large mirror, and a moldy desk.
Lin Baici went inside, checking under the bed, and found a pair of slippers.
They looked like women’s slippers.
Above the bed, on the wall, hung an oil painting, a wedding portrait of a couple.
Lin Baici thought it was fine, but the next second, his gaze went back.
The bride’s neck had signs of being stitched, as if her head had been chopped off and sewn back on before taking this photo.
The horror was full.
Lin Baici stared at the painting, feeling more and more uneasy, suddenly, blood started oozing from the woman’s neck.
Drip! Drip!
The blood even dripped onto the bed, staining the bedding red.
Lin Baici took a deep breath.
Honestly, the scene was rather unsettling, but Lin Baici wasn’t afraid, not even a shiver.
The saying goes, all fear stems from insufficient firepower, and Lin Baici, who had even eaten gods, wasn’t afraid of ghosts.
As long as these beings dared to show up, Lin Baici dared to swallow them whole!
