Deep in the Living-Chapter 496 - 482 Obedience
Chapter 496: Chapter 482 Obedience
[Outside the School Hospital]
The thing Mia lacked most was patience.
She wasn’t planning to wait outside indefinitely. Earlier, when she received the iron bucket from Luo Di, a barely noticeable fly egg was implanted into his body.
This was a harmless method, achievable only because Luo Di did not guard against her.
Through the fly larvae that secretly hatched, she perceived Luo Di’s general situation below.
Suddenly,
a strong threat emanating from the fog came, even causing Mia, who was standing outside at such a distance, to shiver slightly.
Just as she was about to control the larvae to transform into a fly to perceive the outside situation, the fly was scorched to death by high temperature.
This heat did not come from the outside or the enemy, but from Luo Di himself.
"He might end up dying in there."
Mia couldn’t sit still anymore, even if this school really had the "Chaos Value" that Wu Wen mentioned, she couldn’t care less.
If she encountered any obstruction from personnel along the way, she would choose to stun them first, and if not, directly kill them.
Whoosh!
With the long-handled axe surrounded by flies on her shoulder,
iron bucket in hand,
Mia swaggered into the hospital.
As she considered destroying the elevator to head to the morgue, a refined male doctor walked towards her.
Seeing Mia’s fierce demeanor and the strange girl in the iron bucket,
ordinarily,
a normal person would be scared away or call for help immediately.
And Mia was ready to make a chopping motion with the axe, the first strike with the axe’s back, the second with the blade.
But who would have thought...
"Good evening, is there anything I can do for this lady?"
The male doctor appeared unusually respectful, his gaze hard to move away from the surface of the iron bucket, and even his question was directed at the girl inside the bucket.
Mia was a bit surprised. She inquired with a trial attitude:
"We need to go to the underground morgue."
"Ah? Is it the wish of this young lady? It’s very dangerous down there, and only corpse transporters can go. If you really want to go, please wait a moment, I’ll grab an emergency access card for you."
"Rest assured, I won’t keep the young lady waiting long."
The doctor directly ran back to the office at the fastest speed, and in no time, returned panting, leading the two into the elevator for card verification.
"Do you need me to accompany you to the morgue?"
"No need."
"What a pity, I’ll wait here for your return."
The elevator doors closed, the male doctor maintained a smile throughout, waving farewell, his eyes full of reluctance.
"What is going on?"
Mia looked at the girl in the bucket, unable to understand what had just happened.
The girl’s body showed no energy fluctuations, no signs of waking up, not even a twitch of the fingers.
Yet without doing anything, she made the doctor, who met them for the first time, act like a loyal dog.
Ding!
The elevator doors opened.
A deep corridor lay ahead, and via perception, Luo Di should be at the deepest point.
Just as Mia was about to sprint at full speed,
Ding!
A green light lit up in the ordinary morgue not far away, and the old night shift man inside popped out his head.
His bleached eyes still focused on the girl in the bucket.
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
Mia also got curious, deliberately giving a demand: "We need to go to the deepest morgue room."
"Oh, that’s very dangerous! And without a corpse transporter’s card, you cannot enter, let me accompany you."
"Alright."
It was the same situation again,
Mia was sure it wasn’t driven by shallow desires,
after all, this old man was almost in the grave, his relevant functions gone, yet still deeply enslaved.
As they walked, the leading old man suddenly reached backwards:
"Do you need help carrying the bucket? I will carry it with utmost care, minimizing shaking."
"No need."
After being declined by Mia, a flicker of killing intent flashed through the old man’s eyes, but it quickly became calm again.
He actually leaned his whole body forward, lying completely on the ground.
Turning his head with a very eager expression,
"It’s my fault! I’m not qualified to carry the bucket, I should carry the iron bucket like this.
Please place the young lady’s iron bucket on my back; I will crawl earnestly and not let the bucket fall."
After some thought, Mia still placed the iron bucket on him.
Without any anomaly, the old man actually began to crawl earnestly, tightening his body to reduce shaking.
However, this crawl did not last long, as the old man quickly stumbled due to exhaustion, causing the bucket on his back to crash onto the ground.
"Damn me! Damn me!"
The old man’s emotions instantly spiraled out of control, his head bashed the ground madly until it was completely shattered and he died.
Mia watched this bizarre scene, observing the old man still in a crawling posture post-mortem.
She hesitated for a moment whether to pick up the bucket again, as if the girl inside was more dangerous than imagined.
Ultimately, considering their partnership and Luo Di’s special instructions, she picked it up again and also found an identity card on the old man, running at the fastest pace to the deepest point.
In no time, she saw the electronic door at the end.
Without sparing a glance at the red characters warning above, she swiped the card to open the door...Beep!
A heatwave surged out.
The high temperature made Mia feel uncomfortable, affecting her rotten structure. Yet, she kept her eyes open, even when ashes floated over her eye surface without blinking.
The scene before her was beyond imagination,
"What!"
The extreme cold morgue room that was minus fifty degrees before was now covered in scorching scorch marks, as if inside a hell passage.
The inside of the corridor could be divided into three important scenes.
1. "The Slaughtered Corpses"
All faceless corpses had been deeply slaughtered,
either by having their bodies destroyed by beast traps, having their heads crushed by hand, or being pounded into mince directly.
2. "The Damaged Television"
An old television that did not belong to the morgue was placed at the deepest point,
now slashed in half by Wu Wen with a sword, with transistors inside emitting electric sparks, an image on the screen resembling a human face gradually disappearing.
Wu Wen’s body was covered with scales, reflecting the environment to form a camouflage color almost like the surroundings.
If it weren’t for the conspicuousness of the damaged television, her presence would have gone unnoticed.
3. "The Demon and the Disappearing Mysterious Man"
At the center of the corridor.
A black structure similar to wings was disassembling into ashes, scattering with the wind.
A humanoid demon, entire body scorched red to black, had just completed a difficult slaughter,
the demon’s entire left half was completely obliterated.. or erased. From the cut surface, the flesh seemed irregularly wiped off.
The cut surface had numerous metal wires to seal the wound, although still bleeding profusely.
The metal bat in his hand also became charred under the influence of ashes, releasing thick black smoke continuously.
In front of the demon,
stood a mysterious man in a suit as tall as the corridor, with multiple burn marks on his body.
His head was shrouded in fog, but his face showed signs of severe battering, sinking inward.
As the television was destroyed,
his actual body was retracting with the remaining fog into the television.
Vaguely seen, his face seemed to be smiling, as if highly satisfied with this encounter.
The fog dispersed,
the mysterious man vanished.
The demon form was thus dismissed,
more than half of Luo Di’s body missing, he was about to collapse when Mia promptly came forward to support him.
Luo Di was not yet unconscious, softly whispering in her ear:
"Back to the dorm..."
