Death Guns In Another World-Chapter 2047: Becoming Famous
The mountain shuddered as though the world itself held its breath. The summoned beasts had fallen in heaps of glowing ash, dissolving into the ether. The adventurers remained at the rear, battered and wide-eyed, unable to rejoin the battle. Their gazes all pointed to a single place—
The towering beast fused with the dungeon, still alive, its magma-veined body glowing like a molten furnace. It had grown larger, standing like a titan, with wings of broken stone sprouting jaggedly from its back. A corrupted crown of horns flared with mana, releasing shockwaves that cracked the very air.
The monster’s roar shook the skies. Entire cliffsides crumbled, boulders rolling down the slopes like rain.
Alex stood alone before it, blood dripping from fresh wounds. His chest rose and fell in harsh rhythm, sweat streaking down his temples. His sword hung loosely at his side, and his magical gun smoldered in his other hand. His shadow flickered faintly—Nyx remained dormant, conserving strength.
But his grin hadn’t faded.
If anything, it sharpened.
"Good," he muttered, eyes narrowing at the titan.
The ground cracked as he launched forward.
The beast moved to meet him. Its colossal arm swung like a mountain falling from the sky. Alex darted aside, the impact exploding the ground into a crater. Shards of stone rained across the battlefield.
Alex dashed along the shockwave, closing distance. His sword gleamed as shadows wrapped around its edge. Then—
FWOOOSH!
Flames burst across the blade. His Law-attuned aura reacted, blending Nyx’s darkness with his own mana until fire coiled around the steel like a living serpent. Heat shimmered in the air as he slashed, carving a fiery arc across the beast’s thigh.
The giant roared, staggering. Its magma-veins flared brighter, healing the wound almost instantly.
Alex clicked his tongue, spinning away from the retaliating claw. The air itself vibrated with the force of the strike.
Fine. If fire alone wasn’t enough—
He raised his gun. Frost crept along the barrel, pale light gathering at the muzzle. A chilling mist spread outward, freezing the dust in midair.
"Eat this."
BANG!
The bullet exploded from the chamber, wrapped in jagged ice. It slammed into the beast’s chest, freezing a chunk of its molten body. Cracks spread across the crystallized patch, slowing the regeneration.
Alex grinned.
The titan bellowed, slamming its wings into the ground. Shockwaves of magma and stone erupted outward, a tidal wave of destruction.
Alex leapt high, twisting in the air as debris exploded beneath him. His blade caught fire again, while his gun pulsed with frost. For an instant, both elements fused in his hands.
He descended like a falling star.
SLASH—BOOM!
His fiery blade carved a molten gouge into the beast’s arm while his ice bullet struck the other shoulder, freezing it solid. Steam erupted violently where the elements collided, cloaking the battlefield in white-hot mist. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The adventurers shielded their faces, eyes wide at the impossible display.
"That’s... he’s wielding both—at once?"
"No one can control that much mana!"
But Alex didn’t hear them. He was too deep in the storm of combat, body and instincts moving as one.
The beast roared, breaking free of the ice with brute force. Its magma veins flared, building into a core explosion.
Alex’s eyes narrowed. "Oh, that’s bad."
He bolted sideways as the titan opened its maw—
KRRRRRRAAAASHHHH!!!
A beam of condensed molten mana fired from its mouth, cutting across the mountain like a scar of destruction. Entire cliffs disintegrated, avalanches collapsing in the distance.
Alex sprinted across falling boulders, using them as stepping stones while dodging chunks of molten earth. The air boiled, his coat burning at the edges, but his focus never wavered.
He flipped forward, reloading his gun mid-spin. Frost crackled as he infused it again.
BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG!
Four bullets in quick succession. Each struck the beast’s joints, freezing sections of its colossal limbs. Its movements grew sluggish.
Now was the chance.
Alex’s sword ignited once more, flames roaring hotter than before. Shadows swirled with the fire, creating a blade that shimmered between red and black. He sprinted, his feet leaving shockwaves as he propelled himself forward.
He struck.
Again.
And again.
Each slash melted through the monster’s rocky hide, carving deep scars across its torso. Fire burned. Ice froze. Steam hissed, obscuring vision. But Alex never stopped moving. His blade and bullets came together in a seamless rhythm, a symphony of destruction.
The beast screamed, thrashing violently. It smashed its fists down, but Alex slid between them, flames trailing his boots as he dashed up its arm. He sprinted along the titan’s massive frame, firing ice bullets into its neck while his sword blazed across its veins.
Reaching the top, he leapt high, hovering above the monster’s skull for a split second.
All of his mana surged at once. His sword burned white-hot with fire, while his gun gleamed pale-blue with frost. He crossed them, merging the two forces until his entire body shook from the strain.
The mountain itself seemed to quake in anticipation.
"Die—"
He spun, slashing downward with his flaming blade while pulling the trigger of his frozen gun.
"—together!"
CRRRRAAAACKKKK!!!
The combined strike ripped into the monster’s skull. Fire melted through stone, ice shattered magma veins, and the elemental collision detonated inside its body. A massive explosion erupted, shaking the heavens.
The beast’s roar choked into silence. Its eyes flared, then dimmed. Its entire form split down the center, cracks glowing with unstable mana.
Alex landed on the ground just as the titan collapsed behind him.
BOOOOOOM!
The impact shattered the mountainside. Waves of dust and debris spread outward, blinding the adventurers.
When the smoke cleared—
The monster lay still, its colossal body breaking apart into glowing fragments of mana. The dungeon fissure behind it pulsed violently once, then shrank, sealing itself shut with a final flash.
Silence fell.
Alex stood at the epicenter, chest heaving, sword resting at his side. His magical gun smoked faintly in his grip. His coat was torn to ribbons, his skin streaked with burns and frostbite.
And yet—he grinned.
"Now that... was fun."
Behind him, the adventurers slowly staggered forward, their weapons lowering. None spoke for a long moment. They could only watch the fragments of the fallen titan dissolve into the sky like fading stars.
Finally, the vice leader of the guild dropped her weapon, sinking to her knees in exhaustion.
"...That wasn’t a battle." Her voice trembled. "That was... a massacre."
Alex tilted his head, sheathing his sword with a faint chuckle. He holstered his gun, flexing his bruised hand.
The fight was over. The monster was slain. The dungeon sealed.
And yet, as he gazed at the stars breaking through the dust-filled sky, he knew one thing:
This was only the beginning of his legend. He would this fight as a stepping stone for his plan. They would be some who wish to befriend him, they could be used.
