Days of Living with My Sister-in-Law-Chapter 111: Homosexuality?
"Sister-in-law, is something the matter?" Chen Xiaobei asked curiously after they stepped outside.
He had a feeling that Shen Jiawen was a bit off today, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on what was wrong. No sooner had they come out than her eyes turned red.
"Sister-in-law, what’s really wrong?" he asked, alarmed. "Are you feeling unwell?"
He quickly grabbed her wrist but found that, apart from a slightly accelerated heartbeat, she had no other symptoms.
Just then, Shen Jiawen wiped away her tears and forced a smile. "Xiaobei, I... I’m fine. My eyes just got irritated by the smoke while I was cooking. They’ll be better soon."
"Ha, so that’s what it was!" Chen Xiaobei scratched his head and smiled. "Sister-in-law, don’t worry. It won’t be long now before the factory is built. I specifically talked to Qingcheng about building a villa on the property. When it’s done, we can move in!"
"I’ve said it before, and I meant it. I’m going to give you the best life possible. I, Chen Xiaobei, never go back on my word!"
As he spoke, Chen Xiaobei opened his arms and pulled Shen Jiawen into his embrace. The hug was filled with masculine warmth, and Shen Jiawen could even hear his strong heartbeat. It was full of love, full of deep affection.
But the more he acted this way, the sadder Shen Jiawen became, feeling she didn’t deserve a man like him. Yet she also lacked the courage to lay her cards on the table. She had resolved to break up with him at the dinner table just moments ago, but being held in his arms, her heart instantly softened.
She really couldn’t bear to let him go.
At that moment, Chen Xiaobei wrapped an arm around his sister-in-law’s slender waist and leaned in to kiss her lips. Ever since his trip to Mangniu Town, he had missed her sweet kisses every single moment. Now that he finally had some time alone with her, his desire got the better of him, and he couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Xiaobei, no—"
Just as their lips were about to touch, Shen Jiawen quickly turned her head.
Chen Xiaobei kissed the air. Bewildered, he said, "Sister-in-law, you don’t have to be afraid. No one’s watching. Come on, let me have a kiss. I’ve missed you like crazy!"
All he wanted right now was to have his sister-in-law. Cupping her delicate face, he moved to continue his conquest.
"Ugh, no, Xiaobei, don’t!" Shen Jiawen resisted vehemently, squirming in his arms.
But how could her strength possibly match his? In an instant, her lips were captured by his.
"Mmph—"
The heavy, masculine scent invaded her mouth, and Shen Jiawen felt as if her entire body was melting. Yet this sensation brought her no pleasure; instead, her heart grew heavier with sorrow.
No... I can’t ruin Xiaobei’s life! Those other women are all better than me. I can’t be so selfish! she screamed silently in her heart.
With all her might, she pushed forward, desperately trying to break free from his embrace. But Chen Xiaobei was completely lost in his passion, and his hands had begun to roam. Sliding downward, he was about to grab her buttocks.
"Don’t!"
SLAP!
Unable to stop herself, Shen Jiawen slapped Chen Xiaobei across the face.
Although the slap didn’t hurt much, Chen Xiaobei was utterly dumbfounded. In the year-plus he had known Shen Jiawen, they had always treated each other with respect. He had never made his sister-in-law angry before. He just couldn’t understand why she would hit him.
He wanted to ask, but Shen Jiawen used the moment to run off. Her heartbroken expression left Chen Xiaobei feeling both pained and speechless.
What’s wrong with Sister-in-law? I didn’t do anything to provoke her, did I? Chen Xiaobei scratched his head, wondering.
He was about to chase after her to talk, but just then, he felt a biting, murderous aura flare up behind him. Turning around, he saw Murong Xiaoyi staring at him coldly from around the corner.
"Scumbag!" she huffed, her teeth chattering with rage.
"What business is it of yours?" Chen Xiaobei’s frustration boiled over. He charged forward and shouted, "Tell me the truth, did you say something to my sister-in-law? Why else would she be acting like this?"
A cold smirk played on Murong Xiaoyi’s lips. "Indeed. A scumbag will always be a scumbag, always blaming everyone else for their problems. Why don’t you ask yourself what you’ve done?"
"What have I done?" Chen Xiaobei frowned. He had always felt that Murong Xiaoyi seemed to hate his guts. This is so bizarre. It’s not like I slept with her mother, so why is she acting like this?
Just then, Murong Xiaoyi glanced at her watch and snorted. "It’s about time. I’ll be waiting for you in the grove. Remember, you have to come alone. If I find out you told my cousin about this, believe me, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do."
Her gaze was ferocious and terrifying, and Chen Xiaobei had no doubt she meant it.
Following Murong Xiaoyi, Chen Xiaobei soon arrived at the small grove outside the village. The silver moon hung high in the sky as a gentle breeze rustled through the trees.
Murong Xiaoyi stopped beneath a huge maple tree. Her figure was fiery and her long hair fluttered in the breeze, yet she gave Chen Xiaobei an exceptionally gloomy feeling. At that moment, her fists were clenched and her chest was heaving. Because her head was bowed, the moonlight only illuminated her forehead, making her beautiful face look utterly demonic.
"You... are unforgivable!" she declared, her shapely body trembling.
"Are you crazy?" Chen Xiaobei said, completely baffled as he scratched his head. "Have I ever done anything to you?"
"It doesn’t matter! You... are unforgivable! You took everything from me! You... are unforgivable!"
The more she spoke, the more violently her body trembled. She fully unleashed her aura as a Profundity Rank Ninth Grade expert, and the biting gale it generated whipped against Chen Xiaobei’s face, making it sting.
But Chen Xiaobei was genuinely baffled. He frowned and said, "Murong Xiaoyi, just say what you have to say. You’re Qingcheng’s cousin, after all. I really don’t want to fight you unless I have no other choice."
But before he could finish speaking, Murong Xiaoyi snapped, "Shut up!"
She snapped her head up, her beautiful large eyes already filled with tears. She glared at Chen Xiaobei, gritting her teeth as she enunciated each word, "My cousin and I were perfectly fine. But ever since you showed up, she wants nothing to do with me anymore."
"You stole my cousin from me! You stole my whole world! You are unforgivable!"
"What?" Chen Xiaobei was completely floored.
He finally understood why Murong Xiaoyi hated him so much. It turned out she was a lesbian! But Chen Xiaobei had known Luo Qingcheng for some time. As a doctor, he knew her sexual orientation was perfectly normal. All things considered, this meant Murong Xiaoyi was suffering from a one-sided obsession that had become pathological.
Sure enough, Murong Xiaoyi began shouting like a madwoman, "Chen Xiaobei! I’m going to kill you! Only by killing you will my cousin come back to me! Only by killing you will my cousin be safe from a disgusting scumbag like you!"
"Die!"
WHOOSH—
As the word left her lips, a blurry afterimage shot forward. In a flash, Murong Xiaoyi was right in front of him.
