Days of Living with My Sister-in-Law-Chapter 109 Brother Hua, You Are My Idol!
BOOM—
Chen Xiaobei’s mind exploded. He couldn’t care less whether Luo Qingcheng agreed or not; he just picked her up and sprinted towards home. In this world, his sister-in-law was always his most important woman, and he absolutely wouldn’t allow a single thing to happen to her!
Please, please, don’t let anything be wrong! Chen Xiaobei felt like he was going mad.
But when he reached his front door, he was completely dumbfounded. The trouble wasn’t with his sister-in-law; it was with Xiao Hua!
The small courtyard was filled with various kinds of female cats—there must have been nearly a hundred of them. They were all clustered around Xiao Hua, meowing pitifully, their eyes glistening with tears. As for the star of the show, our Brother Hua was extending his little pink tongue, giving each female cat a gentle lick on the cheek. He even licked the eyes of the two Russian Blue Cats.
Chen Xiaobei gaped. Damn! No way!
As for Luo Qingcheng, who was being held by Chen Xiaobei, she was even more stunned and had no idea what was going on. Just then, she felt a sharp gaze land on her. She saw Shen Jiawen standing petrified in the yard, her shocked expression filled with a deep sense of loss.
"Ah!" Luo Qingcheng, both embarrassed and flustered, hurriedly jumped down to explain, "Uh, Sister-in-law, don’t misunderstand! I—I twisted my ankle, and Chen Xiaobei was worried about you, so he carried me back here."
"Oh, it’s nothing." Shen Jiawen forced a smile and said anxiously, "Xiaobei, the yard has been flooded with so many cats. What on earth is going on?"
"Uh, how do I even begin to explain?" Chen Xiaobei was at a loss for words. He felt like he could kneel before Brother Hua.
This cat was his absolute idol! In just a few short days, the little guy had managed to bed all the female cats in the vicinity. Of course, the bedding wasn’t the important part; what mattered was that all these female cats were getting along so harmoniously. Just look at the reluctance in their eyes. There was no jealousy, no barriers; they treated Xiao Hua as if he were their one and only.
On the other hand, there was Chen Xiaobei. He had just a few women in his life, and everything was already a mess. Compared to Xiao Hua, he seemed downright pathetic.
Then, something even more shocking happened.
The hundred-odd female cats all took out their favorite food and placed it in front of Xiao Hua. The message was clear: they were worried he might go hungry on his journey to cultivate!
But Xiao Hua looked disdainful, even yowling at two cats that had brought rotten chicken legs. It was as if to say, "Have you two lost your minds? I’m a Heavenly Demon Tiger; how could I eat such trash?"
The two female cats, properly chastised, looked on with welled-up eyes, like little girls who had been scolded for doing something wrong.
Holy hell! Chen Xiaobei was truly ready to prostrate himself before Xiao Hua. He really wanted to ask the little guy how on earth he got all these female cats to coexist so harmoniously. What an idol!
As if on cue, Elder Wang from next door, who loved playing the erhu, began to play "Moon Reflections on the Second Spring." The somber tune not only tugged at human heartstrings but also stirred the emotions of the female cats who were so reluctant to part with Xiao Hua.
In an instant, the scene became unbearably sad. Every cat started crying and whimpering. The two Russian Blue Cats even latched onto Xiao Hua’s body with their mouths, refusing to let him go.
Yet Xiao Hua stood like a lone hero. Proud and defiant, his gaze was fixed unwaveringly on the distant mountains, exuding the forlorn bravery of a warrior poised to make a great sacrifice. Even Chen Xiaobei was moved by the scene and couldn’t help but whisper, "The wind howls cold over the Yi River, my Brother Hua departs—"
"No, no, no!" Chen Xiaobei shook his head, then puffed out his chest and declared, "Great winds rise and clouds soar! My Brother Hua goes forth to become a king!"
"My idol, Brother Hua..." As he spoke, Chen Xiaobei took a step forward, ready to pick up Xiao Hua and say his goodbyes.
But suddenly—
WHOOSH!
In one agile leap, Xiao Hua sprang onto Shen Jiawen.
"Meow, meow, meow!" The flirtatious cat began to rub his little head against her bosom nonstop.
"Ah! Xiao Hua, what are you doing!" Shen Jiawen was so embarrassed she wanted to strangle the little pervert. But when she saw the glistening tears in Xiao Hua’s eyes, the maternal love buried deep in her heart erupted.
"Xiao Hua, what’s wrong?" she asked, hugging the creature even tighter.
Damn it! Seething with jealousy, Chen Xiaobei reached out and yanked Xiao Hua away. "You flirtatious cat, scram and go cultivate! Stop with the sob story!"
"Meow, meow, meow!" Xiao Hua grimaced in pain, kicked off with his hind legs, and dashed out of the yard with a whoosh. He shot a fierce glance back at Chen Xiaobei, as if to say, "Just you wait! I’ll show you who’s boss once I’ve transformed!"
Following his lead, all the female cats in the yard gave chase, whimpering as they went. Seeing this, Xiao Hua’s fur bristled, and he bolted! Clearly, the little bastard was a playboy cat—the kind that hits it and quits it.
But even so, Chen Xiaobei had to admire Xiao Hua’s charm. In that moment, the entirety of Shanhe Village was filled with the sorrowful wails of female cats!
"Xiaobei, what’s wrong with Xiao Hua? Where is he going?" Shen Jiawen asked, looking distressed. She had grown attached to the cat over the past few days; after all, if it weren’t for him, she would have been captured by Wei Long.
Chen Xiaobei smiled. "Sister-in-law, don’t worry. He’s gone into the mountains to cultivate. He’ll probably be back in a few days."
"Cultivate? I have no idea what you people are up to all day!" Shen Jiawen sighed, then turned politely to Luo Qingcheng. "Boss Luo, please come inside. Dinner is ready. It’s just simple, home-cooked food. I’m not sure if it’s to your taste."
"Qingcheng, you’re in for a treat! My sister-in-law’s cooking is incredible!" Chen Xiaobei said happily. Since Luo Qingcheng already knew about his relationship with Shen Jiawen, he shamelessly wrapped an arm around his sister-in-law’s slender waist. He leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Sister-in-law, your period must be over by now, right? Does that mean I can finally have you tonight?"
"Xiaobei, don’t—" Flushed with shame, Shen Jiawen said weakly, "I—I haven’t been feeling well these past few days. Let’s talk about it some other time."
With that, she led Luo Qingcheng into the house.
What’s going on? Chen Xiaobei scratched his head, feeling that his sister-in-law was different today. She seemed distant, as if she were deliberately avoiding him.
He was about to follow them inside to ask when a Range Rover suddenly pulled up at the door. He looked over and saw a woman in a red, skin-tight leather outfit step out from the driver’s seat.
The woman was about 1.65 meters tall, with curves in all the right places. She had an oval face, shoulder-length hair, and was so beautiful she was practically radiant. As soon as she got out of the car, her gaze fixed on Chen Xiaobei, and she looked displeased. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Hey, are you Chen Xiaobei?"
"Who are you?" Chen Xiaobei was taken aback.
Just then, Luo Qingcheng ran out of the house, her face lit up with joy. "Yiyi! I didn’t expect you to get here so soon!"
"Cousin, I’ve missed you so much!"
As she spoke, a wave of perfume washed over Chen Xiaobei. The woman flung herself into Luo Qingcheng’s arms and planted a kiss right on her lips!
Holy crap! What the heck?! Chen Xiaobei’s eyes bulged.
The woman hadn’t kissed Luo Qingcheng’s cheek but her lips directly.
