[you have reached level 21, and gained two free stats points.]
Ignoring the message, he mused her name. "Delilah," while staring at the woman in the distance. She was a caring friend that he ignored, and the guilt disturbed him.
But seeing Delilah holding her own against five walkers, his lips curled up. But he couldn't get to her due to the overwhelming number of zombies.
After a while when the zombies were reduced to the last hundreds. Cristian approached Delilah. The sound of her long sword piercing through a zombie rang in his ears and his arms shot out.
His fingers coiled around a zombie's neck, it growled, but before it could scratch his arms; he slashed off its arms and threw it towards the zombie Delilah currently faced.
Bam!
She turned toward him when a stray zombie slammed the one she was about to kill. Her brows rose as she scanned the green-haired man walking toward her with a warm smile.
His hands were covered in a pair of black gloves and he causally slung his blade on his shoulder.
"Yo." Cristian said with a smirk and both his brows rose whilst a mischievous smile formed on his face.
"And you are?" While Delilah couldn't compare to Sheila and Anna, she was a beauty by his former standards.
Her question 'provoked' him. Bolting towards her, Delilah could even react when the man spanked her butt cheeks hard.
She had spanked his butt without end, so this was his turn.
A tremor drilled deep into her core and she paused in her running position. "What? Weren't you planning to run?"
He scoffed and launched another, which accurately hit Delilah's ass, making her yelp.
"Cristian, you bastard. I watched you fall along with the restaurant. I spent a month mourning you and this is how you repay me!"
Well, the slap brought back memories.
Delilah turned and faced him. Tears welled up in her eyes as she lunged toward him, wrapping her arms and legs around him.
Unknown to Cristian, two months have changed a lot in Delilah and she might not be the 'friend' he knew.
"I'm-..." Cristian couldn't even reply when a man even taller than him yelled.
"Don't touch her!" His piercing blue eyes glared at him and Cristian's brows rose when the man crushed a zombie's head with his clawed hands.
Delilah quickly got down and turned to the man, who grabbed her slender waist and was about to kiss her, but she leaned back.
"Dean, stop." She whispered, but the man kept glaring at Cristian, exposing his fangs. "She's mine," he snarled with intimidating looks.
"Is that so?" Anger erupted in her heart when she heard Cristian's detached tone. It was clear that he would not interfere if she had a boyfriend.
"Dean stop! I need to talk to him alone." Delilah said, but Dean wasn't satisfied. "Tell him, tell him who I am," he snarled, feeling threatened by the strangely calm man.
"He's my boyfriend and also my mate. I'm sorry Cristian, I thought you were dead." Tears welled up in her eyes as she gazed at Cristian, whose expression didn't change one bit.
'He'll buy it. He always does.' she smirked inwardly.
Cristian liked Delilah but just as a really close friend but her boyfriend wasn't to his taste. True, he had feelings for Delilah, but it changed after he met Alessia (his gym instructor).
"Don't be. You're safe and that settles my guilt but I don't like your choice though and what is this mate thing about? Are you a werewolf?" Cristian pressed his finger on his lip and hummed.
Delilah's eyes flickered when Cristian didn't even show any change when she said it to his face. His nonchalant expression struck deep and an orange glow flashed in her eyes.
'He doesn't care about me. After everything I've done for him!' her thoughts went dark and her teeth slowly grew.
Suddenly a golden wave blasted the few zombies away, and it also made her squint as two ethereal beauties approached Cristian while scrutinizing her.
Seeing Sheila and Anna's mesmerizing looks, Delilah's heart went cold as even her boyfriend gulped.
So while she suffered for more than a month, Cristian had two women by his side and he's just coming to her now.
She would never allow other women to be with her man and this made Dean better than Cristian, but these were just illusions she conjured to make her boyfriend stand atop her former friend.
Seeing Cristian's enviable looks and sculpted body with an amazing skin tone, Delilah's eyes blazed. Why wasn't he like this before?!
'My Lord, this girl doesn't see your goodwill.' Lia said, making Cristian's brows knit.
"Stop being reckless," Sheila spoke softly and arranged her man's hair. Ignoring the lecherous gaze of the wet dog behind Delilah.
Sheila completely ignored the wandering zombies around her as she gazed at Cristian. Although she refused to speak, she could feel something was on between the couple with glowing eyes and Cristian.
"We'll talk later." He planned to leave as he got wary.
"No… let's kill these disgusting things together." Delilah left her boyfriend and persuaded, but Lia's word had already made him vigilant, so he rejected flatly.
"I'll have to-"
His eyes flickered. He raised Burning Fury with both hands and divided the strange zombie with dark red skin. His green eyes blazed as Cristian glared at Dean, who threw the zombie toward him.
'NO!!' Lia's scream reverberated in his mind, causing Cristian's heart to palpitate.
What could make Lia scream with so much fear?
'Lia what's-'
He couldn't finish his words as a dark energy came out from the strange zombie and coiled around his body like chains.
"What's this!" he exclaimed and Dean smirk. "Oops! I slipped." his sarcastic tone made Cristian's brows knot.
'The zombie you killed is called a living gateway because it takes their killers to strange dimensions and a staggering 80% do not make it back, no matter their rank!
But your rank is still low, so it should not be too dangerous. Just make sure you complete your mission as quickly as possible, for there's a hidden timer once you enter that world.'
'What!'
Boom!
A veil appeared mid air and a deep ancient aura seeped out, but apart from Cristian no one was affected.
"Ahhh!" his skin turned red as throbbing bluish veins appeared all over his body and he fell to the ground.
Cristian's vision slowly became blurry as a strange presence enveloped him. His last sight was seeing an Insane Sheila cast two Mortal Tier skills focused on Dean.
Her boiling rage transcended everything she ever knew, and the air spiked. No one might survive the mage's madness as she planned on killing everything in sight. Living or not!
'Lia' a weak voice echoed.
