Cursed Bloodline: Awakened a Hidden Class in a Game World-Chapter 56: Men in Black
[You have leveled up, 4 free stat points]
[Unique drop gained, Blood Red Sword Art]
Zane looked at the rewards that he had gotten, but nothing else caught his attention like the Blood Red Sword Art.
[Blood Red Sword Art (Unique Rank): Sacrifice your lifespan to attain attacks twice as fast and with more damage. This sword art increases all stats by double and ensures that all attacks that are a meter away from the opponent land.]
As he read the contents, he felt his heart start racing. What was this? This was basically a cheat code for him.
The skill looked dangerous on the surface because the user had to make use of their life force, but that was the thing, he was immortal, he had a near-infinite life force, he could use the art however he wanted and it didn’t matter.
A grin formed on his face. He picked up the fist-sized crystals of the boss, and the boss room finally vanished.
He saw Lucy standing there and waiting for him. She scanned him from top to bottom to ensure that he wasn’t heavily injured and then she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness you are fine, master," she said.
"I told you I’ll be okay," he said as he walked toward her.
"What do we do now, master?" she asked.
"Hmm, I’ll be heading to the third floor. Grey can stay here, he needs to grind more. Find him and watch over him," Zane said.
"But master—"
"No buts, I’ll be fine on my own, just watch over Grey, he needs it more," he said casually and walked past her.
"I understand, master," she replied.
[....]
Zane found his way to the stairs that led to the second floor, and the number of people there had reduced compared to when he was trying to enter the second floor.
Most of the adventurers there were trying to make parties so that they would explore together. A few called out to him, but he ignored them.
He bought a map and headed toward the stairs.
"I should warn you, kid, the third floor isn’t like the first and second, going in alone is a bad decision," a man said to Zane, but Zane acted as if he couldn’t hear the man.
"People should really learn to mind their own business, don’t teach me how to game," Zane said in his mind.
He went down the stairs, and halfway down, he could feel heat. A strange smell filled his nose, it was sharp and slightly repulsive, but it was something that he could handle.
He marched forward and finally made it to the third floor. The entire floor was covered in a heavy gas that went up to his knee, it had a slight green color to it and it smelt bad.
"What the hell is this?" he asked, looking around. The crystals that lit up the third floor were dim, and some flickered, fighting for their lives.
The walls were heavily damaged, and only some sides of it showed that it had been developed in the past.
"Seems the third floor is a serious battleground."
He walked deeper and took a turn. Immediately, he spotted three hobgoblins. They sat on the floor, their eyes looking at the ceiling with a green glow.
He didn’t need to be told to know that these goblins were not like the ones above.
Before he could get ready, one lunged at him, running forward like a wild beast. It clawed at him, slashing into his shoulder, but because he pulled back quick, it was only a graze.
Zane pulled out his dagger, spun it into a reverse grip, and slashed forward. The goblin used its arm to block, the dagger dug deep and blood was sent flying in every direction.
"Kyaaaa!" it let out a scream before attacking again. Zane dodged this time and retreated a few steps.
The other two hobgoblins got on their feet and walked forward, their glowing red eyes locked on Zane.
"You guys have more skills than those above, guess that’s why that man was warning me. Either way, time to take you down," Zane said and lunged forward. He leaped and then used the wall, kicking it to change his direction and confuse the goblins for a second.
His dagger came in fast. "Swift Blade." He slashed through the arm of one goblin and cut it off, but rather than cry out in pain, the goblin lunged forward and bit into Zane’s neck.
Zane groaned in pain, he stabbed the goblin in the back and forced it off, then spun around and sent a kick into its chest, shattering its rib cage and sending broken bones into its heart, killing the goblin.

The body of the first had barely hit the ground and the other two were already attacking. Zane dodged both attacks, then grabbed one by the arm and pulled it forward, kneeing it in the chest.
He pulled it back again and swung it to the side, using it to slam into the second goblin and sending both of them flying.
They slammed into the wall hard, and before they could get up, he was already standing above them. He stomped on the head of one and killed it. He looked at the second one with a smile and then did the same.

He picked up their crystals and put them away. "Seems the third floor has better fights," he said and went deeper.
Not long after, he met another group, this time five, but one was a female hobgoblin. She stood at the back with rags barely covering her body, and she held a staff.
Zane already knew what type of goblin she was, he had met that type in many dungeons in the game. She was a mage.
"I can’t allow her to make her incantations and attack me, I’ll have to get through these goblins first and then go for her."
He pulled out his dagger and gripped it tight yet loose enough to maneuver. "Let’s do this."
[.....]
The adventurers guild was rowdy, people doing whatever they wanted, talking, checking out quests, and more.
Then suddenly, a group of five figures all dressed in black combat clothes and masks walked in. They weren’t players, but they gave off a strong aura.
Their presence pulled the attention of everyone there. They watched as these five masked men walked to the counter and stood right in front of one of the receptionists.
She swallowed hard when she saw them. "What can I do for you?" she managed to say.
The figure in front pulled out a paper showing the image of someone, none other than Zane, and a wanted price of two thousand gold.
"Have you seen the man in this paper?" he asked, his voice twisted and distorted through the mask. Fear gripped her and she swallowed hard.
"No," she managed to mutter.
Bam.
The man slammed his fist into the counter in anger and frightened her.
"Hey!" Suddenly, someone yelled from behind, a lean middle-aged man with a bald head and a goatee. Despite his size and structure, he gave off a very domineering aura.
"I don’t know what you lot came to do here, but I advise you to scram if you don’t have any legit business to do here," he spoke.
The leader faced him, eyes slightly glowing through the mask. He handed the paper to the man, "If you see this person, do well to inform us, you can tell us at the mercenary guild.
It would be a lot better if you ensure that you tell us," the leader said and walked past.
The man frowned, he balled the paper, and then turned around. "Do it yourself," he said before throwing the paper ball so hard it looked like a cannonball.
But to his surprise, the leader grabbed the ball without turning back.
"Pathetic," he said before flicking the ball. It travelled extremely fast and slammed into the chest of the man, sending him flying, smashing through the wooden counter, breaking several ribs.
The entire guild was in silence after that. They watched as the five figures left the guild, it was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop.
