Cursed Bloodline: Awakened a Hidden Class in a Game World-Chapter 49: Grey versus Leon
Zane looked at the face of the attacker, and it was Leon.
"So, you are a demon?" Zane asked. Leon looked at Zane with his glowing eyes.
"How did you dodge my attack? There was no way someone like you would have been able to dodge it," Leon said.
Zane gave him a weird look. "You know, you really, really are dumb, right? I could see through your act all along," Zane said.
"See through my act? Dumb? You better watch your mouth, human. I’ll kill you," Leon roared, his fingers growing longer into claws. The red glow on his body got brighter, and he lunged at Zane at full speed.
He slashed, and red claw arcs shot out of his fingers. Zane rolled out of the way and dodged the claws. He looked up and saw Leon coming down with a dominant smile on his face, ready to finish off Zane.
Boom.
Leon didn’t expect the punch that suddenly came out of nowhere and slammed into his stomach, throwing him into the wall and leaving a large crack.
He collapsed to the ground and looked up. He saw Grey still in a punching pose.
"How do you have such strength? I saw your strength a few seconds ago," Leon asked, pushing himself off the ground.
"Uhm, I saw through your entire charade the moment we met. I knew you were plotting something, so I asked Grey to pull his punches," Zane said.
"Impossible! You want to tell me that he had been holding back? I refuse to believe that," Leon said.
"Since you’re refusing, then allow him to show you his true strength... Grey, get him," Riven said. Grey nodded and lunged forward immediately.
"You filthy human, coming at me with your fists and with such confidence, I’ll make you pay," Leon roared and slashed, attacking with his claw arcs.
Grey dodged them easily and then pushed forward. He attacked with a punch, but Leon was fast. He dodged the attack and grabbed onto Grey’s hand, throwing him over his shoulder into the wall.
Grey slammed in, then looked and saw claw arcs heading for him. He dodged them, rolling out of the way and then lunging forward, attacking with a fierce combo that pushed Leon back.
Zane watched their exchange. He folded his arms. "This doesn’t look right," he muttered. He could see Leon’s level, he was a level 10 demon and he was struggling against a level 3 vampire.
Unless vampires were several times stronger than demons, it didn’t make sense, but he decided to just watch and see where it went.
Grey’s fist slammed into Leon’s jaw, sending the demon staggering back a few steps, but Leon quickly regained his footing, his claws scraping against the floor with a screeching sound. His glowing eyes narrowed, and he lunged forward, swinging both claws in a vicious cross slash.
Grey blocked with his forearm, sparks flying as claw met flesh, skin, and bone. Blood trickled down Grey’s arm, but the wound knitted together almost instantly, his vampire healing kicking in. He grinned, showing his fangs.
"You’ll have to do better than that," Grey said, twisting and driving a heavy knee into Leon’s ribs.
Leon grunted but retaliated by grabbing Grey’s leg and twisting, forcing the vampire to stumble. Without giving him a chance to recover, Leon spun around, his claws slicing across Grey’s chest. The deep gashes bled heavily, but Grey’s body was already repairing itself as he took a step back.
Grey growled, dashed forward, and threw a flurry of punches. Leon blocked most of them but caught one straight to the stomach, the force blasting him into the wall. Cracks spiderwebbed out from the impact.
Leon pushed off the wall immediately, launching himself back at Grey. The demon’s claws blurred as he attacked in rapid succession. Grey dodged left, ducked right, but one claw caught him across the face, leaving three crimson lines from his cheek to his jaw.
Grey didn’t even flinch. He headbutted Leon so hard the demon staggered backward, dazed for a second. Grey used that moment to unleash a barrage of punches, each one slamming into Leon’s torso like sledgehammers. The demon’s body shuddered under the impact, but he suddenly caught Grey’s fist mid-swing, twisted it, and kneed him in the stomach.
Grey coughed as air left his lungs, and Leon used the moment to grab him by the shoulder and slam him into the floor, creating a crater. Grey rolled away just as Leon’s claws came down, splitting the ground where his head had been.
The fight became a blur of motion, Grey’s fists smashing into Leon’s body, Leon’s claws tearing into Grey’s flesh. Each time one was knocked back, they charged in again without hesitation. Grey’s wounds sealed rapidly, but Leon’s slower regeneration still kept him in the fight, his body knitting itself back together at a steady pace.
Grey caught Leon’s arm mid-swing and twisted it behind his back before delivering a brutal elbow strike to the demon’s skull. Leon roared in pain, his eyes blazing, and with a sudden surge of strength, he threw Grey off, sending him tumbling across the floor.
"You’re getting on my nerves," Leon growled, his red aura flaring violently.
Then, his body trembled, and a sudden burst of energy exploded from him. His movements became sharper, faster, too fast.
"Demon Art: Crimson Dash," Leon hissed, vanishing from sight.
Grey barely had time to react before Leon appeared in front of him, claws already buried deep into his side. The vampire gasped in pain, blood pouring out as Leon ripped his claws free and slashed again, this time across Grey’s chest before disappearing and reappearing behind him.
Grey spun, but Leon was already gone again, his speed overwhelming. Claws flashed, cutting into Grey’s arms, legs, and back, faster than his healing could completely keep up.
Leon grinned, his face twisted in satisfaction. "Not so fast now, are you?"
Grey snarled, blood dripping from his mouth, but his eyes still burned with the will to fight. He lunged forward, swinging a desperate punch—only for Leon to vanish and strike from the side, sending Grey crashing into the wall.
The demon stood there, claws dripping with blood, his chest rising and falling rapidly. "Let’s see how long you last now."
Zane raised an eyebrow; he was a bit surprised to see the attack come out of nowhere. He made a move to step in, but Grey raised his hands, telling him to stand back.
"I’ll handle this, master."
Grey spat a streak of blood to the side, his breathing heavy but his eyes sharp, locked on Leon’s glowing form. The demon blurred again, vanishing from sight, and the next moment Grey’s body jerked violently as a claw strike raked across his back, nearly throwing him off balance. He turned just in time to block the next swipe, but the sheer force still sent him skidding across the cracked floor.
Leon didn’t give him a moment to breathe, he was there again, a red streak slashing at his chest. Grey blocked high, but a second claw tore into his ribs from the side. Blood splattered the floor. The vampire staggered back, arms raised defensively, but the blows kept coming, fast, brutal, and precise. Each impact made his bones rattle.
A heavy kick from Leon slammed into Grey’s stomach, folding him in half before another claw smashed across his jaw, sending him spinning through the air. He hit the ground hard, rolled, and barely got to his feet before Leon was there again, pressing him with merciless speed.
Grey caught one slash, but the next tore into his thigh. He blocked another, yet a follow-up uppercut from Leon’s claws ripped across his chest, sending blood spraying in an arc. The ground around them was becoming slick with red.
Zane’s eyes narrowed as he watched. Grey was getting tossed around like a ragdoll, but he wasn’t breaking. His stance stayed firm despite the punishment.
Leon lunged once more, claws aimed for Grey’s throat, but this time Grey moved differently. His eyes tracked Leon’s movement, reading the shift in his shoulders. He sidestepped just enough, the claws missing by inches, and caught Leon’s wrist in a vice-like grip.
"You’re not as untouchable as you think," Grey growled.
His other fist came up like a hammer, smashing into Leon’s face with enough force to send the demon stumbling. Grey didn’t waste the moment, he stepped in and landed a brutal hook to the ribs, followed by an uppercut that snapped Leon’s head back.
Leon roared and slashed, but Grey was already moving, anticipating the arc of the attack. His arms intercepted the claws with precise blocks, and he retaliated with two quick punches to Leon’s jaw and gut.
For the first time since the Demon Art began, Leon was being pushed back.
The demon’s grin faltered. "Screw you."
Grey wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, smirking. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Leon’s eyes narrowed dangerously. His form blurred again, faster this time, his movements like flickers of red light. Claws came from every angle, high, low, side, back. Grey blocked most, his arms moving almost on instinct now, but a few still slipped through, carving new wounds into his skin.
Still, his recovery was faster than before, his body responding to the rhythm of the fight. Leon’s claws met resistance more often, and the vampire’s counters came quicker, sharper. Every block seemed to set up a punch, every dodge followed by a strike.
Grey was bleeding heavily, yes, but his hits were landing more often now. Each blow made Leon’s smirk waver just a bit more.
Zane folded his arms, a faint grin forming. "He’s getting faster..."
