Cultivation Through Artifacts-Chapter 364 - Northern Continent
Falling from the sky with almost bullet-like speed, Khal watched as he passed the dense layer of clouds under seconds and with ever-growing speed approached the ground below him that seemed to be engulfed in nothing but white.
'The Northern Continent?' Khal seemed to recognize the land below him and couldn't help but feel slightly surprised. π§ππ²π¦π πππ£oπ«π²π.πoπ
It turned out the Realm Path indeed worked but at the same time, it teleported him to the furthest point away from the Southern Continent possible, the Northern Continent.
'Well, whatever. I am no longer a First Realm Existence. I can easily go back to Moon City in less than half a day!' Khal thought in his heart and when he was less than a hundred meters away from crashing into the ground he raised his hand and clenched his fingers into a tight fist.
Although he was a Second Realm existence who tempered and even refined his body with rare treasures and with a method that no one ever before tried to do before, he still was a mortal who could die falling from the sky with nothing that could slow his descent down.
Maybe if he was at the peak of the Third Realm and someone who has already entered the Fourth Realm, he could have had the chance of surviving such a suicidal fall, but currently, it was nothing but a ridiculous dream to hope for.
Hence, without hesitation, Khal quickly pushed some of his essences into his arm and with a powerful swing, threw a punch out right below him that immidieatly created a huge shockwave, strong enough to halt his descent in the air for a few seconds before letting him fall again but with less speed than before!
Thud!
Reaching solid ground with two gentle taps, Khal glanced around slowly and scanned his surroundings with keen eyes. fπ³πππ πππ―oπeΖ.coπ
Currently, he was standing in the very center of a valley of three relatively huge mountains that were covered in a thick layer of white snow. Also, the temperature was so cold that whenever he breathed out the air from his lungs, steam would emerge from his mouth and fly toward the sky before his face.
Just looking at the white scenery around him made Khal know that he was indeed somewhere on the Northern Continent as such a thick layer of snow only existed here and nowhere else inside the remaining three continents.
"Now I should only find out where I am exactly. From then, finding Moon City won't be a problem at all." Khal muttered calmly and was about to run toward a southern direction when suddenly he noticed a white bear with a size about twice as his emerged in the distance, its deep black eyes staring intently at him in a deep and threatening manner.
"Just go away, pal. We are not in the same league." Khal said calmly as he activated his Heaven's Eyes, forcing the beast to immidieatly tremble with pure fear and dash away while leaving a yellowish line of strain behind his wake in the white snow; it was pretty obvious that it has pissed itself from sheer horror when he felt Khal's aura just a second ago.
'...'
Khal remained silent upon seeing this sight and once the bear was out of his sight he deactivated his Heaven's eyes before dashing into the distance, traveling half a mile in a single instant!
"A city!" after running for a few seconds, Khal became happy when he noticed the huge city walls in the distance, thus pushing his feet a little bit stronger against the ground below his feet, he quickened his pace and dashed forward.
Meanwhile, before the city gate, two guards clad in white armors that were, in fact, stuffed out with expensive fur and leather that can protect them from freezing to death in this cold weather, when noticing as someone approached the city with terrifying speed akin to an avalanche they felt shocked but quickly raised their weapons and roared;
"HALT!"
Bam!
With a force that cracked the ground and sent fist-sized debris into the air, Khal came to an abrupt halt and glanced at the two guards in front of him.
"Which city is this?" Khal asked with an indifferent expression, completely ignoring that the two guards pointed their weapons at him in a threatening manner with a hint of killing intent.
In his eyes, they were nothing but ants that he could squeeze and use their weapons to winkle out the stuck meat from between his teeth any given time he wished.
The two guards looked confused when they heard Khal's seemingly strange question as who would not know what this city was? Anyone that did not live under a rock would know just what kind of history this city had!
However, when they saw that the young boy in front of them wore only a single robe without any protective clothing against the blood-freezing cold that ruled this domain where they currently were, they seemed to realize he was not someone they could mess with that easily.
Hence, one of the guards that seemed to have the bigger rank among the two took a confident step forward, and with his spear raised higher, he said in a stern voice, "Kid, do you live under a rock, or are you just simply trying to play a prank on us by not knowing the name of this city even after seeing the ice jade walls?"
As if he was enlightened, Khal's eyes brightened up, and asked quickly, "Is this Ice Jade City?"
"Hmph, it seems you are not that stupi-" the guard sneered coldly when he heard Khal's question and wished to scoff at him, but just before he could have had the chance to do so, Khal already dashed away with explosive speed, leaving behind nothing but the sound of thunder and a deep pit at the spot where he just stood a? few moments ago!
As for the two guards, they just stood where they were motionless, their eyes wide as saucers as they simply failed to track Khal's speed no matter just how focused they were a second ago!
"J-Just who was that boy?" coming back from his sense, the guard at the rear asked with a stupefied expression, his gaze looking in the direction where Khal have just vanished to.
The other guard, who looked just as shocked as the other one thought for an answer, but as he failed to come up with any he just shook his head helplessly before walking back to his original position. There, he leaned against the wall with a deep sigh and took out a cigarette from his pocket.
"Let's just forget about it. I think it's better if we don't know.." the guard sighed and took a deep inhale from the cigarette before blowing out the smoke into the air slowly, acting as though nothing special happened just now.
