Cultivation: Fortune by Lots-Chapter 442 - 241. The Seventh Heavenly Layer, Connecting Heaven! (Two-in-One Chapter)_4
These two treasures are the paramount artifacts for protecting Mount Shu, having never left the Sect Summit since the day of their creation.
The east and west treasures, also called the left and right treasures, are the strongest flying swords of the Mount Shu Sect: the Purple Azure Twin Swords—Ziwei and Blue Abyss. However, the Ziwei Sword has been missing for some time, and now only the Blue Abyss Sword remains.
The north and south treasures, also termed the front and back treasures, consist of the South Bright Separation Fire Cauldron and the North Abyss Divine Spear.
Among them, the South Bright Separation Fire Cauldron is equally the foundation of the Mount Shu Sect. Known as the foremost Magical Treasure of the Great Tang for alchemy and artifact refining, it rarely leaves the mountain. It produces South Bright Separation Fire, which, though less formidable than the Nine Abyss True Fire of Dragon Tiger Mountain, is even more magically effective when used to aid in alchemy and artifact refining.
The North Abyss Divine Spear is a fearsome weapon of slaughter, spoken of in the same breath as the Purple Azure Twin Swords.
The Mount Shu Sect encompasses a wealth of artifact refining techniques; while they are renowned for their flying swords, their expertise is not limited to just flying swords—they also possess other Magical Treasures used for dueling and killing.
The North Abyss Divine Spear is an even more powerful weapon of slaughter than the Vermilion Flame Flying Forks of Xu Duan.
If they were to leave Mount Shu for a confrontation, the current forces of the Mount Shu Sect would undoubtedly be led by the Blue Abyss Sword and the North Abyss Divine Spear.
"Any news from Yingyun?" Elder Chu asked.
Chu Zhe replied, "Brother Yingyun still has not sent any news."
Fang Jingsheng, the head of the Fang Clan of Jingxiang, also known as Yingyun, was a peer of Chu Zhe and the current leading master of the Jingxiang Fang Clan. He has kept a low profile since the chaos in the Western Regions.
In recent years, as the renowned clans began to unite, the Fang Clan of Jingxiang, along with the Chu Clan of Suzhou, both started to shift their stance towards the Lin Clan of Jiangzhou and Dragon Tiger Mountain of Xinzhou.
The circumstances will not remain frozen at a certain point. Time passes, and the world changes. Human hearts can change at any moment.
Although Fang Jingshen, the head of the Jingxiang Fang Clan, personally will not make a move, the Fang Clan as a whole has begun to take action. Just like the Pure Yang Palace, Mount Shu has also started to make their move.
"The news of Celestial Master Xu Yuanzhen breaking through to the Nine Heavens Realm of the Taoist Sect is starting to spread in the Northern Lands," Chu Zhe brought up another matter.
The old man in front of him smiled slightly, "It’s not entirely impossible."
Upon hearing this, the cultivators of the Chu Clan’s expressions grew somewhat grave.
"Why not spread word in the south as well," Elder Chu first gave a smile, then the smile faded as he looked northward. "The girl has not been seen for a long time, and in recent years, her reputation has gradually been overshadowed by that little girl surnamed Tang, which is not good. Also, to share some of the burden with Ye Chiyuan."
「The ancestral land of the Qingzhou Ye Clan.」
Clan leader Ye Yan Ye Chiyuan was hosting a guest. Prince Xun’an of the Tang Court, Zhang Mu, was paying a visit to the head of the Qingzhou Ye Clan.
"Congratulations, sir, on achieving the realm that pacifies the world," Zhang Mu said slowly.
Ye Yan waved his hand, "I dare not accept such praise. I merely delve into some scholarly pursuits; this world belongs to Great Tang. In recent years, I have visited the Capital City less frequently, leading to some rumors that have tarnished the Emperor’s ears. I hope the Prince can put in a good word for me and convey my loyalty to the Emperor."
There are three lineages in the Confucian Sect’s cultivation, each calling the First Heaven Layer the beginning of enlightenment, while the Nine Heavens Realm is also known by the same name, called ’Pacifying the World’. Especially within the lineage of Scriptures Studies, the path is seamless: the Second Heavenly Layer is for self-cultivation, the Fifth Heaven Layer for family harmony, the Eighth Heavenly Layer for governing the nation, and the Ninth Heavenly Layer for Pacifying the World.
"Such a title has existed since ancient times. The Emperor himself has also practiced the way of Scripture Studies and would not misunderstand. You are overly concerned," Prince Xun’an Zhang Mu spoke slowly.
Although his expression was calm, his emotions fluctuated as he looked at Ye Yan. Realistically speaking, it wasn’t completely unforeseen. After all, Ye Yan Ye Chiyuan was known throughout the world as a prodigy of his generation. He entered the Upper Three Realms at a young age. From there, he soared ever higher, passing through the Seventh Heavenly Layer’s struggles to the Eighth Heavenly Layer’s governance, and continuously breaking through until he reached Perfection. After that, however, he finally paused, and for many years did not progress. As of today, he was well past two hundred years old, an age beyond the typical period of rapid advancement for Upper Three Heavens cultivators. While he had not begun to decline, outsiders gradually assumed he would remain at the Eightfold Heaven Realm forever, with the Ninth Heavenly Layer out of reach. Because some years ago Ye Yan’s daughter became the Empress of Great Tang, he himself frequented the Capital, making the likelihood of a covert breakthrough followed by concealment slim. Yet the head of the Qingzhou Ye Clan had sprouted anew, successfully taking this step.
When the matter was laid out before him, Prince Xun’an still couldn’t help but feel a tremor in his soul.
"You also said that you’ve spent less time in the Capital in recent years." Zhang Mu quickly regained his composure. "After all, you still have relatives there." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Ye Yan smiled and nodded, "Please convey to His Majesty on my behalf that I wish to pay him a visit and sincerely ask for his permission."
"Of course, that would be good," Zhang Mu agreed.
Ye Yan’s entry into the Capital was not a cause for concern about his potential return. That was because both Ye Moquan and Chu Xiuyuan were outside the Capital City. Face-to-face, should the two or three of them come together, even the Tang Emperor would not be afraid. On the other hand, if they were to scatter, the Tang Emperor could focus on just one at a time. Disrupting the balance would lead to unpredictable consequences.
After talking with Ye Yan for a few more moments, Zhang Mu excused himself and left the mansion for the residence arranged by the Ye Clan.
"Prince, there’s still no precise information on the whereabouts of Wei Ancheng, the rebel from the Southern Wilderness. It’s only said that members of the Southern Wilderness Witchcraft Sect continue to pursue him," a follower reported at this time.
Zhang Mu nodded slightly.
Wei Ancheng was initially wounded in an ambush by Shangguan Bo and others. Although Tang Court experts subsequently returned north and the Future Maitreya of the White Lotus Sect went missing, the other high-ranking experts of the Southern Wilderness did not give up their ongoing pursuit of him and the Blood River Sect. At the very least, they could not let Wei Ancheng recover in peace. Otherwise, once his injuries healed, he would once again become a blade hanging over the heads of the other sects of the Southern Wilderness Witchcraft Sect.
