Cultivation Daddy-Chapter 105: Breakthrough
It’s been two days since Fan Ruyin left and her tracks were also gone.
It was almost time for bed and everyone was getting ready but Li Yujian had another plan.
"Father?" Yujian went to Li Jain’s room and knocked on the door : "Are you awake? Can I come inside?"
He opened the door slowly without making any noise and peeked inside: "I’m sorry, I did not mean to disturb you." Yujian immediately apologized when he saw that Liu Xiong was also there.
Li Jain opened his eyes from meditation and looked at Yujian: "Come in. Is everything ok?"
Yujian took two steps inside, looked around the bedroom and said quietly: "Can I ask for your permission on something?"
"Ok, what is it?" Li Jain smiled and nodded lightly.
"My cultivation has improved and now I’m at a bottleneck. I want to enter the secret realm and fight monsters.
"Hm..." Li Jain thought for a moment and then asked: "Right now?"
"Yes, right now, Father," Yujian answered firmly
Li Jain pondered for a while: "I don’t have a problem with you going into the secret realm this late, but you have school tomorrow. Why don’t you consider going during the weekend or after school?"
Yujian was silent for a while and then said: "I thought about that, but these past few days have been busy and it’ll only get more busy. I originally planned to do two hours in the secret realm, at this time from now on until I break through my bottleneck."
"Alright then," Li Jain nodded and said: "If it’s only two hours then that’s ok."
Yujian’s expression eased slightly: "Thank you , Father."
"But remember, if you encounter any trouble, leave immediately. Don’t try to take risks. You can always go again tomorrow. Understand?" Li Jain warned sternly.
"Yes father, I understand." Yujian nodded obediently. But deep down in his mind he knew that his Father’s warning was necessary. Given his stubborn personality, there’s no way he’ll ever run without a fight.
Li Jain watched Yujian leave and his expression turned complicated again.
"If you’re so worried, you can stop him from going." Liu Xiong poked his head out of the sheet and said .
"It’s not that I’m worried, it’s that he won’t listen. If he insists then I can’t force him. I have a feeling that the secret at night would be different from the one during the day."
Li Jain sighed, he feels that this kid is indeed hard to deal with. However, his persistence makes him somewhat satisfied. At least it will be easier for him to find the answer.
Besides, if things really get out of hand, he’ll just go in and take him out. Li Jain immediately canceled his sleep plans and decided to keep an eye on Yujian’s progress.
"The secret realm as a whole is much more dangerous at night. But he should be ok since it’s a low level realm and he has been there countless times." Liu Xiong said in a lazy tone.
"Are you sure you’re sleeping in here tonight?" Li Jain narrowed his eyes questionably.
"Of course! Why; are you kicking me out?" Liu Xiong raised his eyebrow and said with dissatisfaction.
"Not really." Li Jain glared at Liu Xiong:
"Xiao Xin will soon be here to sleep and the bed is no longer going to be convenient for the three of us." Li Jain pointed at himself and Li Xiong.
"Oh you don’t have to worry, Zinxin said he would sleep with you tonight. He said his brothers wanted him to sleep with them." Liu Xiong smirked proudly.
"That’s good then. You can stay here , you can stay here." Li Jain waved his hands.
Juanxin, who was hugging his pillow and was about to knock on the door, happens to hear the conversation and pause.
He paced back and forth and tried to think about what to do next. After a few minutes, he sighed and decided to go sleep with his brothers.
Liu Xiong heard the sound of footsteps getting further away and the smile on his face grew wider.

Li Yujian stepped into the center of the formation and activated the talisman in his hand. Light surged up around him and his figure disappeared from the storage room.
As soon as he landed, Yujian could tell that something was wrong. The pressure in the air was much heavier than the floors he’d been on.
He held his breath as he scanned the surrounding area. It’s too dark. Everything seemed to be blurry and indistinct. He looked up at the sky and saw the number of the floor he’s currently on. (9th floor)
"It’s not too late to go back." Shiny, the small silver snake curled around his wrist and raised its head.
"Don’t talk nonsense, we just got here." Yujian reached out and patted the snake’s tiny head.
After being warned repeatedly by Li Yujian, Shiny no longer released its aura casually whenever they came in here. Its presence was almost completely suppressed.
"We only have 2 hours, let’s hurry." Yujian started walking as the cold wind hit his back.
"Whatever you say.. " Shiny stayed quiet and followed behind him closely.
He makes his way through the forest, occasionally stopping to collect rare herbs and materials that only grow in this floor.
.As he walked further down, small beasts started to show up.
Even though they were at the same level, those were stronger, faster, and more cunning than the ones on the lowered floors. Yujian wasn’t afraid of the, on the contrary, he was delighted.
He fought them one by one.
The beast that’s killed by him was quickly devoured by Shiny. If it wasn’t Li Yujian keeping an eye on it, it would have eaten it all.
After who knows how long, he walked out into a clearing. The spiritual energy here was served and venomous.
"Stop!" Shiny body tightened around his wrist and it suddenly shouted for him to stop.
A long shape slid across the ground not at the far edge of the clearing.
"What’s that?!" Li Yujian asked, as he watched the shadows come into view.
He didn’t notice anything abnormal earlier and was wondering why the shadow showed up like that.
Shiny let out a strange screech.
Yujian quickly checked the situation: all beasts present had died. Except for whatever this is...
The black scales serpent head was broad and triangular, its eyes were narrow and cold, its long tongue was making a hissing sound. Poisonous mist kept pouring out from its mouth.
Yujian couldn’t help but feel a tinge of disgust as soon as he laid eyes on the creature.
It must have seen him or sensed him somehow because it instantly started rushing toward him. It reached Yujian in a blink of an eye and swung its tail toward him.
Yujian instinctively dodged and used Flash Step to escape. But he couldn’t evade the attack directly because even though he dodged, it managed to swipe against his shoulder.
With a heavy crash , a large wound appeared on his left shoulder.
Yujian immediately fell backward onto the ground, and hid behind a rock, trying to stabilize his breathing.
"This thing is a Level 5 Venous Serpent, way above your level. Not to mention it is the well known Ghostscale Viper!" Shiny whispered: "This thing is deadly and even cultivators in the Soul Palace Realm might not be able to deal with it easily."
Yujian’s heart sank. A Level 5 demon snake had appeared in the secret realm for Physical Body and below?
There is no way he’d be able to defeat such a high grade demonic beast. What he needed to do now was to find a place and retreat.
But then again, how could he leave without a fight? He can teleport at any time after all he has more than three teleportation talismans on him.
With that thought in mind, Li Yujian slowly stood up. Even though his shoulder hurt a lot, the cut looked worse than it actually was. With his current strength, the cut is nothing.
His eyes swept over the surroundings.
Shiny saw his movement and jumped up: "What are you doing? Forget it, let me help you take care of it."
"No, I’ll handle it myself. Don’t interfere." Yujian shook his head.
"Are you in a hurry to die?" Shiny turned its head sharply and stared at Yujian as if he was an idiot. After a moment, it laughed and said lazily: "But that’s not a bad thing. Once you’re dead I won’t be bound to the contract anymore."
"Keep dreaming." Li Yujian sneered and dashed towards the viper once again.
Yujian’s speed was fast enough to catch the viper by surprise. As soon as its tail swiped past the area, Yujian was already standing in front of it.
The venomous snake hissed loudly and rushed at Yujian. The Ghostscale Viper was fast, so fast that it appeared blurry when it moved.
Just after a few moves, Yujian sadly realized that he had overestimated his own abilities. With his current level of cultivation, there’s no way he’ll be a match for this monster.
"Are you not going to pull him out?" Liu Xiong watched the scene play out before his eyes.
"If he doesn’t realize his bottom line, I’m afraid his heart won’t be satisfied." Li Jain shrugged his shoulders.
He wanted to see how far the kid could go.
