Cultivating Through The Game-Chapter 477 - 283: Opportunity to Complete the Mission_2
"Ha ha, let me do it!" The bald man shouted, his muscles expanding, transforming his entire body into a three-meter-tall small giant.
"Wild Bull Charge!" A yellow glow erupted from his body, forming the shape of an earth rhinoceros, with the bald man being the rhinoceros' horn.
Rumble~ The bald man charged along the opening cut by the Cyan-robed Swordsman, forcing the surrounding fleshy walls to widen enough for a carriage to pass through, more than sufficient for the others to follow.
"Go!" The group hurriedly followed the two pathfinders.
A few people walked a distance into the passage, looked back and found the others had not followed. When they returned to the demon hatchery, it had shrunk to less than ten meters in length and width, and the forcibly opened entrance had disappeared.
"Where are they?"
"Let's leave here first."
Tap-tap-tap~ The sound of flesh clashing came from the other side of the passage. The three turned back and saw a bloated figure in their view.
The three were shocked, "What the hell is this thing?"
Poof~ The belly of the bloated figure cracked open, and three intestines shot out, binding the trio and dragging them towards the cracked-open belly.
"Damn it, break off!" One person wielded a spirit weapon, frantically attacking the intestine wrapping around his waist and abdomen, but couldn't stop himself from being drawn closer to the bloated monster.
The spirit weapon struck the monster's intestines, but it couldn't cause any harm. The intestines were tough yet soft, hard to sever.
"Die!"
A horned lightning dragon charged at the monster, its electric aura spreading to the surrounding flesh walls, turning them into charred remains that emitted an extremely unpleasant stench.
Boom! The lightning dragon hit the monster's body completely, and the monster was immediately enveloped by a billion volts of electricity, shocked for more than half a minute.
Snap~ A round, plump object fell from above. The three focused their gaze and saw it was the monster's head, charred into black coal, with its brain matter evaporated by the lightning.
"Phew~" The three sighed in relief simultaneously, relaxing.
The person on the left looked at the one who had released the lightning dragon, with a hint of respect in his eyes, and praised, "Friend, your strength is extraordinary, we cannot compare to you."
"If it weren't for you this time, I fear the two of us would have been in grave danger."
The other person felt a bit uncomfortable with how much he had lowered himself and elevated the other, but he acknowledged it was true. Without the lightning dragon, they might have really died here.
So, he didn't say anything further.
"Not at all, I just know a few minor tricks, nothing impressive. I hope you two brothers will keep it a secret for me," the person humbly said.
"Don't worry; I won't let a word slip outside," the friend reassured.
As the three spoke, they failed to notice that the intestines around their waists hadn't loosened, and were still moving, drawing them closer.
Poof~ The top of the bloated figure suddenly sprouted a sphere, shedding large fragments of black carbonized flesh.
Hearing the sound, the three looked towards the monster, only to see a massive mouth looming overhead. At some point, they had been dragged right in front of the monster.
"Ah~"
Their screams echoed through the passage, and the three disappeared into the bloodthirsty mouth. The bloated figure swayed its massive belly, turned around, and left for an unknown destination.
"Was that a scream just now?" someone in Lu Yu's group asked in confusion.
The scream was too brief and faint, as if filtered through numerous barriers, nearly indistinguishable; he thought he was hearing things.
"What scream? It was probably the cries of demons; that's how they sound," someone replied to him.
"Really? Then maybe I heard the demon cries," the man scratched the back of his head, dismissing the thought.
"Why are there only 11 of us here now? I remember we had 15 people when we set out," someone noticed the change in their number and questioned.
"Really? Then maybe the other four died at the digestion pool. We haven't faced any danger since, just that one time at the pool; maybe we didn't notice losing those four then," the person who responded about the scream continued.
"Maybe," the person questioning agreed unsurely. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"No, I was the second-to-last to leave the digestion pool, and 12 people left before me. Including me and the last person, 14 should have left the pool," a somewhat young practitioner in the Qi Sea realm confidently stated.
He then looked at Lu Yu and said, "I remember you were the last to leave the pool."
The others turned to Lu Yu, and he nodded, "Yes, I was the last to leave."
"Then why are there only 11 people here? What happened to the other three?" the Cyan-robed Swordsman asked.
The group looked at each other, not sure where those three had gone.
"Maybe they got separated at the hatchery, and there's no way back now. Let's complete our mission and leave this dangerous place early," the person who had answered earlier spoke again.
"Where to?" Lu Yu suddenly asked.
"Of course, we need to destroy the central hub. Walk this way, and we'll reach the hub's location. Destroying it allows us to leave," he replied as if it were obvious.
The others nodded in agreement, "Yes, destroying the hub is more important. As for the three of them, it depends on their luck. They're all in the Qi Sea realm; they shouldn't encounter much danger as long as they avoid going into the digestion pool, that cursed place."
