Cultivating through increasing my stats in America-Chapter 100 - 99 Redeeming Rewards
Chapter 100: Chapter 99 Redeeming Rewards
Chapter 100: Chapter 99 Redeeming Rewards
After handling the miscellaneous affairs following the program, Li Ang and his two companions finally returned to the hotel once more.
The few days of the program, including the final victory bonus, appearance fees, and various miscellaneous expenses, amounted to about fifteen thousand dollars and some change.
After deducting the cost of first-class plane tickets, plus the expense of the executive suite in the five-star hotel arranged by Qiaos and dining out at restaurants, there wasn’t much left over—it barely qualified as a free vacation.
Li Ang opened his stat panel and looked at his attributes, which had made not insignificant progress compared to a few days before.
Name: Li Ang
Strength: 16.50 (+3.74)
Constitution: 22.09/22.5 (+0.5)
Response: 10.64
Spirit: 16.70/31 (+0.2)
Breakthrough Points: 0
Limit Break Points: 6.1 (+1.1)
The most significant change was in his “Strength”.
A portion of that was naturally the result of the hard training he had done over the past two days, but most of the credit had to go to the now depleted “Breakthrough Points”.
The reason why he had reserved a portion of the “Breakthrough Points” was to wait for the time of need, and clearly, that time had come.
However, Li Ang was somewhat surprised that even with his strength now surpassing that of an average adult male by more than 60%, along with a certain neural recruitment force bonus, as well as a 60% increase in leg strength.
The strength he displayed still wasn’t significantly greater than Baines’s.
This was enough to show that the upper limit of “Strength” was certainly more than 20 points.
This wasn’t all that preposterous, considering that if a standard adult male was calculated at 75kg, many well-known strongmen could weigh 150kg or more, with strength more than double the average, so in terms of “Strength”, Li Ang actually had a lot of room for improvement.
This time, it was thanks to Li Ang’s well-rounded attributes and strong body coordination.
Otherwise, even with some clever strategies for passing the challenges quickly in mind, his body might not have been able to execute them.
Because they returned relatively late, Li Ang also ordered a table of late-night snacks from the hotel.
The three sat around the table, eating late-night snacks and chatting.
“Are you really going to enter that slapping contest?”
Sheila asked as she looked at Li Ang’s cheek with some distress.
Out of the three of them, she was perhaps the one who understood the contest the most.
In that competition, too many physically strong men had been slapped to the ground, unable to get up again.
Some had their faces swollen from the slaps, others ended up in the hospital with concussions.
Overall, it wasn’t much more forgiving even compared to a boxing match.
Li Ang nodded in response,
“You don’t have to worry too much about me, Sheila. Whether it’s hitting or taking hits, it’s what I’m good at.”
Li Ang cracked a deadpan joke, but felt himself getting hotter.
That was because he noticed Sheila had stretched her foot under the table from the opposite side to his leg.
“If you’ve made up your mind, then go for it with confidence—I’ll always support you.”
As Sheila was saying this, her toes were somewhat restless, wriggling about.
Catina, who was sitting next to Sheila, noticed Li Ang’s skin was reddening slightly and passed her ice cream dessert from in front of her to Li Ang.
“Are you feeling hot? Have some ice cream.”
Sheila snickered to herself on the side, staying silent.
Li Ang, feeling a bit guilty, took the ice cream and had barely had two bites when he suddenly felt something was amiss.
Why is my belt getting looser and looser?
He glanced down and could not deny that Sheila’s little feet were indeed very nimble.
What if she gave a foot massage, wouldn’t that be like taking off in flight?
“Hmm…well, I’m full now, a bit tired today, so I’m going to head back to my room first.”
Li Ang hurriedly clutched his belt as he made his way to his room.

Sheila also stood up, patted Catina on the shoulder, and said, “Eat slowly, I’m going to help him relax his stiff muscles, do some post-exercise care.”
Watching Sheila head towards Li Ang’s room, Catina couldn’t shake the feeling that the two were hiding something from her, but she couldn’t figure out what.
All she did was subconsciously stuff an entire banana into her mouth, savoring and pondering.
Feet clad in stockings pressing on legs felt completely different from hands.
But likewise, it placed higher demands on the massager’s skills.
Although, receiving a foot massage psychologically feels very different.
On one hand, it offers a novelty different from hands; on the other hand, it has sufficient visual appeal.
The downside is that feet are not as flexible as hands, and many movements that require high flexibility are difficult to perform.
“Is the speed and pressure okay?”
Sheila and Li Ang faced each other, with hands pressed to the floor, she whispered.
Li Ang couldn’t say anything, but nodded his approval.
Finally, the massage was drawing to an end.
But Li Ang’s sharp senses suddenly detected that the door to the room had been quietly pushed open a crack.
Outside the door, it seemed like a pair of eyes was stealthily peeping at them.
However, at this moment, since the arrow was on the string, it was too late to close the door.
A one-on-one lesson being eavesdropped on by another indeed had a different flavor.
Sheila, barefoot, holding her stockings in one hand and her high heels in the other, walked towards the outside of the room.
When she saw the door was slightly ajar, there was no surprise on her face, as if she had expected it.
Catina was huddled in her room, a blush flowing from her cheeks to her earlobes.
She knew it was wrong to sneak a look, but she couldn’t help herself.
She dreamt the whole night that she boldly entered the classroom and joined the teaching process, turning the one-on-one lesson into a two-on-one.
After resting for the night, the three of them set off on their way home.
The Rolls Royce from the hotel to the airport was still arranged by Qiaos.
Moreover, Qiaos had thoughtfully prepared parting gifts for all three of them.
For Li Ang, it was a wallet and a belt; he didn’t recognize the brand, but by touch, he knew it wasn’t cheap.
Sheila and Catina each got a set of La Mer skincare products.
Li Ang not only didn’t refuse but even thanked him before leaving.
This finally put Qiaos’ lingering worries to rest.
Although it might not completely clear his conscience of any misgivings towards Li Ang, at the very least Li Ang was unlikely to actively trouble him over past issues.
He truly reformed, not out of a newly found conscience but because the loss was indeed substantial.
Initially, he just wanted to make a profit of seventeen hundred, but now apologizing alone had cost him tens of thousands of US dollars. However, compared to money, he much preferred to ensure his personal safety.
Returning home, Li Ang felt an unprecedented grand welcome. The neighbors near his home had all been buzzing with the variety show he had appeared on.
