Crushing flags and claiming the Villainess-Chapter 171 - 170- The forgotten past(2)
The four Demon Generals under the command of the Demon King were nothing less than impossible opponents for Rhea to defeat.
Even against the weakest General, the Succubus Queen, Rhea had to take the support of several comrades and had to go beyond her limits to put her down.
It wasn't just the off-power scaling of humans and demons; these beings have lived for thousands of years, so they hold experience several times more than humans.
Every single Demon General was above S-rank, however, humans are restricted to that rank.
And this one, the Orc Lord, was the second-strongest Demon General.
However, canonically, he shouldn't have awoken around this time. There was definitely something wrong...someone pulled the strings from the shadows and now, they were facing a catastrophic danger.

"Sir?" Sebastian also appeared beside them, a deep frown marring his face.
The butler could tell just by a glance that this opponent was far stronger than any being he had come across until now. Not even the Demon General who appeared in Drenovar, exerted such an overwhelming force.
And the most astonishing part—the demon wasn't affected by the sun, at all!
"Sebastian...you need to take them away." Austin voiced and his tone clearly signified that he wouldn't ask again.
Sebastian clenched his fist and looked at the opponent again.
Inside the carriage were two unawakened ladies, and a man who was still recovering. Under these circumstances, they would be severely damaged just by being present near the battlefield.
Valerie had already summoned her weapon—the mythical armament—Shiverfall.
Unlike the time she faced Zevarath, her Shard was shining brightly under the sun.
Sebastian made the decision soon.
He turned towards the carriage and was about to take the carriage away when suddenly, Cedric and Adam jumped out.
"My Lord...you should-"
"No, Sebas. This battle is not something we can run away from. That being is a terror that can threaten a country all alone." The King voiced in a stern tone, his Shard appearing by his side and his eyes never leaving the figure of the huge demon.
Adam told the butler, "Just bring the two ladies to safety...they have fainted."
Sebastian followed his orders and took them away.
Back in the battlefield, Valerie seemed prepared.
This opponent was stronger than the Demon General she fought back in Drenovar. However, at that time, she had to hold back because of the Headmaster's warning. However, now,
"Absolute Zero."
—she cannot hold back.
*CRACK*
A huge circle appeared near the Orc Lord before the temperature began to fall at an abyssal rate.
Trees, grass, and even the birds within the circle froze and fell.
However, the demon didn't stop. Its body was protected by the dark miasma it was radiating.
The violette clenched her fist, before she dashed toward the Demon.
Austin was still standing, ready to assist. Even in his Berserk state, he wouldn't be able to help her right now. So he was rather focused on backup and assistance if needed.
The moment Valerie dashed forward, the frozen ground beneath her shattered, leaving a trail of ice shards in her wake. She closed the distance in a blink, her spear already thrusting toward the Orc Lord's chest.
CLANG!
The impact sent a shockwave through the air, yet the spear barely dug in. The demon's thick, miasma-coated skin resisted the attack. Snarling, the Orc Lord swung its massive axe down. Valerie twisted her body, the blade missing her by inches as it split the frozen earth behind her.
She retaliated.
Her spear spun, striking like a viper—one, two, three precise thrusts aimed at the beast's joints. Each blow landed with enough force to tear through stone, yet the Orc Lord barely flinched.
BAM!
A backhand strike sent Valerie skidding across the battlefield, her boots carving deep grooves in the frost-covered ground. She didn't stop. The moment she regained her footing, she launched herself forward again.
"Frost Fang!"
Ice erupted along her spear's edge as she slashed at the demon's side. The freezing force spread, creeping up its arm, but with a violent shake, the miasma burned through the ice, shattering it like brittle glass.
The Orc Lord roared and swung again. This time, Valerie couldn't fully dodge.
CRACK!
Pain shot through her side as the axe clipped her ribs, sending her flying. She crashed through a frozen tree, splintered and ice raining down. Blood dripped from her lips, but she didn't stop.
Valerie raised her hand before several ice glaciers appeared in the air.
The Orc Lord flinched as it also looked up, however, the thick legs of the demons didn't allow it to dash away in time, before,
**BOOOOOOOM**
A devastating blow that sent tremors kilometers away, resonated once the three glaciers dropped on top of the demon general.
A huge crater was formed on the surface, and if not for Adam and Cedric taking each other's support in time, they would have fallen down by the shockwave.
This wasn't the first time Austin had seen Valerie's power...but every time, she left him baffled.
The dust cleared, and the three huge ice chunks were still dug into the ground. And just when Valerie thought, that the battle might be over,
"*UGOOOOOOOOOOOH*" A cry that shook the battlefield echoed from beneath the ice.
CRACK—CRACK—BOOM!
The glaciers trembled before they exploded from within, shards of ice shooting in all directions. A monstrous figure emerged from the debris, its body covered in deep wounds, yet still standing.
The Orc Lord's dark miasma surged violently, evaporating the frost clinging to its skin. Its crimson eyes burned with fury as it stomped forward, shaking the earth.
Valerie barely had a moment to react before the demon charged—a blur despite its massive size.
WHAM!
A massive fist struck her mid-air, sending her rocketing backward. She hit the ground hard, rolling several times before skidding to a stop. The taste of blood filled her mouth, but she forced herself up.
She wasn't expecting the demon to be that fast.
The following battle was a blur.
The two figures clashed at a pace that Austin could only follow with his eyes.
Neither side was too overwhelming for their opponent but both of them were receiving damage gradually.
A very disturbing thought suddenly assaulted Austin's mind...was the Orc Lord really that weak?
There was no doubt that Valerie was strong but the Orc Lord Austin expected should have been much more devastating and overpowered.
'Is it because of its early awakening?'
Regardless of the reason, soon Austin found his chance to act.
Summoning Ashen Maul he dashed forward.
The Orc Lord came flying his way, so utilizing the chance he lifted the mace above his head and swung down with full force.
BOOOOM!
The impact was earth-shattering. The moment the Ashen Maul connected with the Orc Lord's shoulder, an explosive shockwave erupted, sending a deep tremor through the battlefield. The demon's body lurched downward, its massive frame barely holding against the devastating blow.
Valerie didn't waste the opening.
CRACK—CRACK—CRACK!
She struck three times in quick succession, her spear glowing with icy blue light.
Each thrust drove the frost deeper into the demon's body, slowing its movements as its flesh began to stiffen.
The Orc Lord roared and swung wildly, forcing both of them back. But its movement was visibly sluggish now.
The miasma was growing and healing its wounds which clearly told that the Orc Lord would recover in no time.
Valerie glanced at her beloved, and that gaze told him what she was about to do.
She was, once again, going to defy the flow of time.
