Pablo stretched his hand for a deal and Fozier didn't accept it right away.

"You will find the killer of my soldier? Are you sure?" The Marshal asked.

Pablo nodded. "Yes. I will. I have to clear your suspicions of me and today it was your soldier, tomorrow it might be mine. So it's better to capture this killer before it's too late."

"Alright then." Fozier reached out his hand as well.

But before finalizing the deal, Fozier looked in Pablo's red eyes.

"I might be giving you this offer but if I found something amiss with you, tenth Marshal…"

Fozier's voice turned colder.

"You will see something worse than that Demon."

Under that cold gaze and voice, Pablo smiled.

"Brave of you to assume that the Demon was the worst thing I have ever seen."

Fozier frowned and Pablo added, "Don't worry though. I won't let you down."

After that, Fozier finally shook Pablo's hands and there was truce. Fozier made a deal with the killer to look for the killer.

The mansion was still on fire and the soldiers were still pouring water on it.

Pablo didn't comment anything about the fire as he had no intention to make problems for himself.

"Stop the water. The fire won't stop." Fozier ordered what Pablo wanted to do.

The water soldiers stopped trying to put out the fire.

"The fire will stop after completely burning the mansion. It's some kind of Ego." Fozier remarked.

Pablo nodded. "That may be right. But I think it's high time you should tell me what really happened, Marshal. I also have to leave for the Hollow kingdom next month."

"Right. You don't know the whole thing."

Fozier brought Pablo to a corner and Draxus followed him.

Fozier objected to Draxus' presence but Pablo told him that he could trust him so Fozier also agreed.

After that, Fozier put his hand around Pablo's shoulder. He was bigger than Pablo in size and age. Pablo was also sure that if a fight broke out between him and Fozier, the first Marshal would win easily unless Pablo did some cheating.

However, that also arose a question inside Pablo's mind.

If the Marshals and Admirals were so strong why didn't they participate in defeating the Demon? Where were they?

"Why didn't the Marshals participate in defeating the Demon?" Pablo asked right away. He couldn't keep it inside.

Fozier shrugged. "All of us were busy with our own missions. I was in Arcane Kingdom with the elves and the Admiral was with the dragons. I don't know about others."

'Elves and dragons. These guys deal with good stuff.' Pablo thought and he accepted the answer as well. And it was good the Marshals didn't take part in the fight against the Demon, Pablo wouldn't have made it this far without slaying the Demon after all.

"Now are you ready to hear the situation?" Fozier asked.

"Yes. Please tell me." Pablo was ready. He already knew the situation but he acted oblivious.

Fozier began telling Pablo about everything.

He told him about the General's red room and how Dilinger was a regular there. And how Fozier and his soldiers went to check on the General's mansion today when Dilinger hadn't returned to the camp.

The container filled with oil, General's naked dead body, Dilinger's skeleton, the arrival of the King and the recent burning of the mansion.

"We still have the skeleton of Dilinger but I don't think it would be of any help. Any other evidence you could have found would be burned now."

Fozier finished telling all the information and Pablo nodded.

He put his finger on his chin and furrowed his brows.

He was thinking very deeply about something at least in the eyes of Fozier. In reality, Pablo was just acting.

After a short while, Pablo looked at Fozier.

"I think if the General and Dilinger had really killed each other then no one would have burned this mansion. This place was burned because someone was afraid that you would surely find something and come after them.

What I am saying is, someone was watching you when you came inside this mansion. And when you told the King that you will make sure to investigate this matter, the culprit felt afraid and as soon as the King left, the killer burnt this place. No evidence, no punishment."

"Is it possible that the King burned this place?" Fozier suspected but Pablo shook his head.

"The King isn't that stupid. He knows the real strength of his Kingdom is the military. He won't do anything against the military and especially Abyssal Butchers. He told you to forget Dilinger's death mostly because he is afraid of the upcoming war and wants the soldier to train and be ready for the fight."

"So who killed Dilinger?!" Fozier yelled.

"Probably someone strong or someone who has a grudge against you or Dilinger personally. And now that Dilinger is dead, I think no other soldier would get killed. And if one more soldier did get killed, then we have a serial killer on the loose who kills randomly not out of any grudge or revenge."

Pablo stated some random shit and Fozier seemed to take it seriously. Not knowing, two more of his soldiers were missing.

"So there is no way to know the killer unless they do one more murder?" Fozier asked.

"Yes. So if you find any news of any soldier getting killed, be sure to inform me. And if no soldier dies, then it's ideal you move on from Dilinger's death as it will be very hard to find the killer. Though, I hope no further killings happen."

"No." Fozier shook his head.

"I really hope one more soldier gets murdered so that I can find that bastard."

"As you wish, Marshal. Who am I to complain?"

Fozier said nothing and went back to stand with his soldiers.

Pablo and Draxus also joined and all of them watched the burning mansion.

Eventually, the fire finally died and in front of everyone, a pile of black charcoal laid. Everything was destroyed.

"There is nothing here. Let's go back to the camp." Fozier ordered and turned around.

Pablo was glad and he also turned around.

The chapter of the mansion was closed and now they were going back to the camp. Fozier was Pablo's somewhat alley now as well.

Pablo and Draxus walked behind Fozier and his soldiers but soon, someone spoke :

"Wait."

The soldiers halted.

The person who spoke was one of Fozier's soldiers and everyone looked at him.

And Pablo looked at him as well. But he shouldn't have done that.

As soon as his eyes landed on the soldier who spoke, Pablo's body trembled. It wasn't twitching this time, it was trembling with rage.

Pablo could never forget that soldier.

"Why did you stop?" Fozier asked his soldier.

The soldier didn't reply the marshal and instead walked towards Pablo.

He stood in front of him and held Pablo's wrist.

He then looked Pablo in the eye and asked…

"Have I seen you somewhere before?"

Pablo's hands shivered as his body couldn't stand the touch of the soldier.

His body was reacting violently and it was all because of this soldier, this soldier named :

Ted.
