Creating A Succubus Army In A Fantasy World!-Chapter 12: Help!
Chapter 12: Help!
Creed pushed Lilith off his body, his face twisting in frustration as he scrambled to his feet.
"Damn it, Lilith!" he hissed, shaking off the lingering warmth of her soft wings.
His body still tingled from her touch, and worst of all, she had almost woken up his sleeping dragon.
Right outside the bastion.
In the middle of a damn battlefield!
Unacceptable!
As Lilith giggled, clearly enjoying his flustered reaction, Creed ignored her and turned his focus to the real prize.
The wolf's corpse.
Creed rushed over to the carcass, gripping his spear tightly as he prepared for the gruesome task ahead.
He had no time to waste. In the wilds, blood was a beacon.
The moment a dimensional beast died, the thick scent of its flesh and blood would start spreading through the air.
And that scent?
It was a dinner bell for every predator lurking nearby.
If he didn't act fast, it wouldn't take more than a few minutes before a horde of beasts swarmed this very spot, fighting to devour the remains.
Because the flesh of dimensional beasts was special. It wasn't just the meat or the blood. It was the energy.
It contained pure, concentrated energy that could nourish and strengthen any other beast that consumed it.
This was why battles in the wild never lasted long. Any beast that hesitated became food. Any hunter that took too long to claim their kill lost it to the real apex predators as well.
Creed clenched his jaw. He couldn't afford to waste time.
He stabbed his spear into the beast's thick hide and began the dissection.
Immediately, Creed regretted his decision. The first stab barely went in. The second one got stuck in the thick muscle.
The third one...
"Ugh—!" Creed gagged, nearly vomiting as a wave of hot, foul-smelling blood gushed out, splattering onto his hands.
"Why is this so damn hard?!" he growled, stabbing the carcass again with renewed frustration.
He had seen butchers effortlessly carve up beast corpses before!
Was it because his spear was too dull or was he simply not strong enough?
Or...
Did he just suck at this?!
Lilith, who had been silently watching, tilted her head. "Master, do you need me to—?"
"No!" Creed snapped immediately, stabbing again. "I got this! I—"
SQUELCH.
The blade of his spear finally pierced through deep enough. Creed's eyes lit up.
"Finally!"
Using every ounce of strength, he twisted the spear and pried open the wolf's chest cavity.
And there it was.
Amidst the mess of blood and gore, a deep red sphere pulsed with a rhythmic glow.
It was irregular in shape, its surface jagged in some places, smooth in others, like a raw gemstone straight from the earth.
But its most striking feature was that it pulsed like a heartbeat. As if it was alive.
The Pure Crystal.
The most valuable part of a dimensional beast.
Creed hurriedly reached in, his fingers slipping slightly from the blood, and ripped it free from the corpse.
The moment it left the beast's body, its glow became even stronger, illuminating his palm with a deep crimson light.
His breath caught for a moment. Holding a Pure Crystal was the strangest thing. It was power in its rawest form.
If refined, it could be used for all kinds of things—potioning, weapon enhancement, cultivation aids.
If sold, it could fetch a solid price in the market. Too bad he couldn't take the whole wolf as well.
If he had a Spatial talent or a Dimensional Storage function on his bracelet, he could have stored the entire carcass and sold it for a fortune.
But his bracelet was only Level 2 which meant no storage space. Which meant no extra money.
Damn it.
Creed hurriedly stuffed the Pure Crystal into his pocket. It was worth a lot!
Growl!
Suddenly, he heard a low, guttural roar.
Then another. And another. And another. Creed's eyes widened. He turned his head and his heart skipped a beat.
From the distance, multiple red eyes flickered in the shadows of the ruins. The scent of blood had already spread and the real predators were here.
Creed spun on his heel and grabbed Lilith's wrist.
"RUN!"

3 Hours Later.
Creed stood atop the massive corpse of the fallen beast, his breathing heavy, his spear dripping with fresh blood.
At his feet lay the body of a Low Stage 1 Shaggy Wolf, a stark contrast to the majestic Snow Wolf they had first killed.
This one wasn't sleek or elegant like the snow wolf. This one was a walking fortress of fur and muscle.
It had been an absolute nightmare to put down.
Its thick, shaggy coat was so dense that it acted as natural armor, absorbing blows that should have pierced deep and instead turning them into mere scratches.
Every stab of his spear had sunk into the layers of hair like a needle in a thick cushion, dulling the impact and barely breaking through the surface.
Even Lilith's devastating lightning punches had been weakened by the sheer volume of hair.
It had taken far too long to finally bring the beast down, and even now, standing over its body, Creed felt like it had sucked out more energy than it was worth.
Still...
Money was money.
Creed knelt down and, with practiced ease, plunged his fingers into the beast's open wound.
Unlike the first time, where he had struggled like a clueless butcher, his hands now moved swiftly, efficiently.
Squish.
He found the core. With a sharp yank, he pulled it free. The deep red Pure Crystal gleamed in his palm, its pulsing glow like a heartbeat.
Creed grinned. Then he started laughing once again.
This...
This was insane.
He had just killed three Stage 1 Dimensional Beasts!
Three!
And each Stage 1 Pure Crystal was worth at least 1,000 credits!
Which meant he had made 3,000 credits in just three hours!
That was more money than some people made in a whole month!
At this rate...
"Am I actually rich now?!"
Creed's eyes sparkled as he stared at the glowing crystal, visions of luxurious food, high-grade equipment, and a life of comfort flashing before his eyes.
Money!
So much money!
If he kept this up, he could...
"Ugh..."
A soft groan beside him snapped him out of his fantasies. Creed turned his head and immediately noticed Lilith's state.
She was exhausted.
Her wings drooped, her lightning aura flickered weakly, and her usually lively violet eyes were slightly dull.
She was tired. And now that he paid attention to himself... so was he.

His arms ached. His legs felt heavy. His breathing was uneven. He had been fighting for three hours straight!
Even though Lilith had done most of the work, his own body wasn't unlimited and neither was hers.
Creed sighed and pocketed the Pure Crystal.
"As much as I'd love to keep making money..." he muttered to himself, cracking his sore shoulders, "...it's time to head back."
It wasn't just because he was tired.
Lilith needed to be fed.
And considering how much energy she had burned through during these battles, her next feeding session was probably going to drain him dry.
Creed shuddered. It was better to prepare for that mentally.
'Slow and steady,' he reminded himself.
Even though he needed money badly, he had to learn how to pace himself. After all, dead men couldn't spend money.
Creed turned away from the beast's corpse and gestured to Lilith.
"Come on, let's go."
She nodded tiredly and followed as they began navigating their way back toward the bastion, carefully avoiding dimensional beasts along the way.
At least that was the plan until...
A sudden scream tore through the silence.
It was a sharp, high-pitched voice. Very feminine and panicked.
"HELP!!"
Creed froze. His heart skipped a beat. Someone was in trouble!
He clenched his fists, his mind racing.
Should he go or should he ignore it?
