Chapter 364: Chapter 363: Is There a Title

After Mia Sutton sent her message and was about to turn off her phone to relax again, she heard the notification sound from WeChat.

Her eyes, which were closed, opened again, and she smacked her lips. This time, Jensen Sterling’s reply was really quick.

And then Mia dove back into her phone.

The people in the car were still chatting back and forth, mostly discussing how well the concert went and how happy the fans were, with some joking around, of course.

Sitting to the side, Mia seemed to have tuned out their voices entirely, wholeheartedly focused on sending her own messages.

Jensen Sterling: "Where’s the last stop?"

Mia replied without hesitation, "Silvane."

There were only three places in total, and she remembered them well since they were all selected by fans’ votes.

Jensen looked at the place on his phone, paused for a moment, then said he understood.

Mia: "Jensen, are you busy with filming lately? Is that actor still delaying progress?"

Jensen Sterling: "Not bad."

After filming for so long, the actor who got pushed into the role had actually improved his acting skills quite a bit after all this time.

Although he can’t compare to the professionals, at least he isn’t eye-scorchingly bad anymore—passable at the very least.

And as time went on, the crew realized that although his acting wasn’t great, as a person, he wasn’t bad. He didn’t throw his weight around because he’s backed by the investors, nor did he misuse his influence to add unnecessary scenes.

His roles weren’t many, so even if his performance was just adequate, people could tolerate it. When he wasn’t filming, he’d be on set watching others, although that didn’t really help his acting improvements much. Still, it somewhat altered people’s impression of him in the crew.

However, this good impression only lasted while he wasn’t filming; sometimes, during filming, he could still infuriate everyone.

But after wrapping up a scene, the anger would dissipate.

It was really quite the contradiction.

Mia and Jensen continued their casual chat.

As she messaged, she couldn’t help but wonder what kind of person could both irritate and placate an entire crew simultaneously.

She was pretty curious.

Mia was still messaging Jensen when Lynn Joyner poked her.

Her attention was pulled away from the screen, she looked up, snapped out of her focus, and looked at her in confusion, "What’s up?"

Lynn didn’t say anything; instead, someone from the back chimed in, "Mia, who were you chatting with? We called you several times, but you didn’t respond."

Then Mia saw the row of people behind her all staring at her with eager, gossip-filled eyes.

They had called her name three or four times, but Mia was engrossed in her messages.

Seeing their expressions, Mia went "..."

"Just a friend." She said, barely perceptibly licking her lips.

She wasn’t lying, just omitted a word. It was just an ordinary boyfriend, a married kind.

To avoid shocking them, she slightly spared them one word.

After that, she quickly changed the topic.

"What were you guys talking about earlier? Is there something going on?"

They were just teasing anyway, so the conversation naturally circled back to what they were discussing before, and they quickly caught up again.

"We were talking about the concert. It’s the last show, right? After it ends, should we go to have some fun?"

"The company granted us a few days off."

Mia thought about it for a moment upon hearing this; she didn’t know exactly when Jensen’s movie would wrap up. If there was some time before then, she might actually go along.

They even started planning where to go.

After chatting excitedly for a while, they started feeling exhausted. The concert had already drained most of their energy, so the conversation didn’t last long.

The last message Mia received was from Jensen, saying he had gone to film.

She replied with just an "oh."

...

After the concert wrapped up at their current location, they would rest at the hotel for a day before heading to the next place the next day.

But since there was still some time before the next concert, they stuck to their schedule of daily practice and rehearsals.

...

After the second rehearsal concluded, Mia returned to the hotel as usual. Before she could finish tidying up, her phone rang.

Looking at the display, she picked it up: "Hello, Director Lawson."

Ian Lee sounded quite cheerful from the other side: "Hey, Melody, so here’s the thing, Drama Tragedy has been scheduled. It’s due early next month. After our official account posts on Weibo, remember to post for promotion."

Mia paused for a second: "Yep, I got it, Director Lawson."

Ian Lee: "Oh, and also, when you post it, don’t forget to interact with Jensen Sterling. I’ll let him know too."

Though there’s no real need for interaction, Ian is one to capitalize on whatever opportunities he gets. This time, Jensen actually has some romantic scenes, and Ian wasn’t going to miss the chance for a good promo.

Mia said she’d take care of it.

Now that the movie was set to be released, promotions in cinemas had started early, and discussions online were buzzing.

Recently, Mia had been busy with concert activities, so she hadn’t paid much attention to all these. It wasn’t until Ian’s call that she opened Weibo to check it out.

Sure enough, the buzz on Weibo was quite lively.

The next day, the official account announced the accurate release time, and Mia was quick to repost it, tagging our dear Mr. Sterling.

Jensen also posted a similar Weibo and tagged Mia for promotion.

As soon as the posts went live, the internet was bustling.

[Here it comes. It’s coming with its exciting plot.]

[After a year of waiting, finally, Director Lawson’s new work is here to save my cinema-deprived soul. Count me in with anticipation.]

[You devils are eagerly awaiting Director Lawson’s new work, hehe~ But I’m different; I’m just excited to see my hubby again.]

[Indeed, am I the only one who feels like my hubby’s schedule has decreased since last year? I often wonder if he’s even still in the industry. Now there’s finally a new project.]

[Director Lawson at the helm, starring Jensen Sterling, we’re guaranteed good box office returns.]

[Hilarious, let’s not get too cocky; remember there’s another lead. It might still end up a flop.]

[Excuse me, allow me to inform you that Jensen Sterling’s movies’ box office stats start at a minimum of 2.5 billion (polite smile).]

[Oh, by the way, the flop you mentioned is directed by none other than Ian Lee, who’s won Best Director three years in a row.]

[Not to mention, just judging by Mia Sutton’s performance on stage for this play, at least the acting part won’t disappoint.]

While people argued among themselves, fans of the couple kept to their own spaces.

[Their sweet moments, they’ve awaited it for so long, and here it comes.]

[What’s more joyous than seeing your favorite duo pair up again?]
