Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 268 - 267: Counterselection
Someone commented, "Your collarbones are so beautiful, I want to raise fish in them."
There were even comments like, "Sister, I don’t know what your sexual orientation is, but if you’re into guys, could you loosen the standards a bit? I’d love to be a fish in your pond."
In the room, Jensen Sterling held his phone, watching the constant stream of comments, and his lips were tightly pursed, his gaze quite unfriendly.
If possible, he would probably want to pull that clothing down to cover her glowing white waist, or even carry her off the stage and lock her in a room where only he could see.
Although he knew that was impossible, his fingers gripped the phone tighter.
...
After the stage ended, Mia Sutton and Lynn Joyner stood in the middle of the stage, breathing slightly due to the high difficulty and large movements of the dance, their chests rising and falling slightly, with beads of sweat seeping from their foreheads, making strands of hair damp.
The dance had stopped, but the shock it left on people’s hearts lingered, hard to dissipate.
Until the host came up, microphone in hand, smiling, said:
"That dance was just amazing, I was stunned backstage, from the expressions on the two teachers’ faces, it’s clear they loved it too. Now let’s invite our two teachers to start the selection process."
Mia Sutton was to be selected first, followed by Lynn Joyner.
As soon as the words were spoken, the camera focused on the two people at the instructor’s seat. Nolan Sinclair sat there, eyes curving, while Heather Holloway turned her head and smilingly asked Nolan Sinclair, "So, Mr. Nolan, are we choosing?"
Nolan Sinclair smiled without speaking, but placed his hand on the button on the table, action speaking louder than words.
After the host said please choose, everyone in the live broadcast room stared intently at the screen.
"He’ll choose, right? It’d be unreasonable if Mr. Nolan didn’t choose."
"Actually, if he doesn’t choose, it’s understandable, after all, Mia and Lynn were performing a dance, not singing. Don’t forget what Nolan Sinclair’s specialty is."
Both camps had valid points.
Amid everyone’s anticipation, on screen, two lights lit up simultaneously, indicating both instructors were very impressed and wanted her.
Seeing this, the host said, smiling, "It seems both instructors admire Mia Sutton greatly; both lights are on."
"According to our program’s rules, if both instructors’ lights are on simultaneously, the choice goes to Mia Sutton. So, Mia, what’s your choice?"
After the host spoke, he turned his gaze to Mia Sutton, and the camera followed her.
"Here it comes, the moment I’ve been waiting for since the start, finally the counter-selection is happening."
"I thought this moment would come sooner, but who knew Nolan Sinclair would be so zen, skipping good options earlier. Now it makes sense, he was waiting for the right moment."
"I almost thought we wouldn’t see the counter-selection moment, but thankfully it came, didn’t make me wait for nothing."
On stage, Mia Sutton took the host’s microphone and swept her gaze across the instructor’s seats.
