Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 244: Jensen Sterling and Mia Sutton Together
Cameron felt like he was about to go mad.
Be the driver??!!
Cameron: "Where’s Leo? Or even Luke?"
Jensen Sterling paced down the street, phone in hand, and casually replied to the voice on the other end: "They’re busy, not around."
Cameron: "..."
"....!!!"
Busy, huh? Not around, huh?
Here he was, a renowned actor, with wealth that’s off the charts, always having people fight to be his driver the moment he steps out, since when was there ever a lack of chauffeurs?
Yet now, he’s actually going to be someone else’s driver.
Sure, that person is Mia Sutton, but does that mean he can just blatantly become her driver? Doesn’t he know his own status?
Cameron felt his head throbbing, suddenly acutely aware that his easy days were long gone.
Ever since Mia Sutton came into the picture, Jensen Sterling’s name has been hitting trending searches with a visible increase. Before, it was all about his work, but now all the searches are strange and bizarre.
He used to say his artist was too low-maintenance, making him feel nonexistent as a manager.
After all, Jensen was zero scandal, zero negative press, no messy incidents whatsoever.
But from the looks of it now... it seems he’ll never have such leisurely days again.
He now deeply regrets wishing Jensen would have some explosive news; was he out of his mind?
Cameron sighed deeply in his heart and then asked, "So, Jensen, should we have this trending topic removed?"
Jensen Sterling: "No need."
After a pause, he continued, "Don’t bother with any trending topics in the future either."
After giving those instructions, he hung up. Cameron was left pondering Jensen’s last statement—what did he mean by not bothering with future trending topics? Wasn’t it just this one?
Then, a thought slowly surfaced in his mind—could it be what he thought it was?!
Turns out, it was indeed just as he thought.
About half an hour later, another trending topic shot up rapidly.
Hashtag: #JensenSterlingAndMiaSuttonAppearingTogether#
Initially, fans were still having fun with the previous trending topic, and before long, they discovered their star was trending again.
This wasn’t the strangest thing; the strangest thing was the person with whom he was trending.
You have to know, besides his usual work, Jensen Sterling never appeared on the same trending topic with any artist privately, especially not with a female artist.
This was practically a once-in-a-century event, a first!
Even though he and Mia Sutton had trended before, that was during a program, but who would’ve thought they’d appear together on a trending topic privately?
The story went like this: after hanging up on Cameron, Jensen saw the message from Mia Sutton on WeChat.
Instead of returning to his car, he replied and then wandered around campus.
...
In the office, after a few rounds, Mia finally excused herself. The principal even invited her to come play chess with him again next time because she managed to win a game.
That’s right, Mia won. Although her skill wasn’t better than the principal’s, her moves were truly unpredictable, sometimes catching her opponent off guard, allowing her a lucky victory.
Even though she only won one game, the principal was intrigued by her strategy and played several rounds, leading to the parting words.
Mia finally emerged from the office and quickly messaged Jensen Sterling.
"Jensen, I’m out now, are you still around?"
"Jensen Sterling: Can you head towards the library?"
After reading the message, Mia followed Jensen’s directions. She remembered the way from her earlier visit to the library and walked briskly.
However, when she arrived near the library, she didn’t spot anyone. The library was huge, and Mia wasn’t sure where he was, so she took out her phone to message again.
Then, she heard people nearby whispering, and occasionally, Jensen Sterling’s name caught her ear.
Instinctively, Mia looked up and saw someone a distance away, causing her to stop in her tracks.
All eyes were on Jensen Sterling, so nobody noticed Mia nearby.
For a moment, Mia didn’t know what to do. With so many people around, she couldn’t just walk over there.
Then her phone buzzed, showing a simple two-word message on the screen: "Come here."
Mia: "..." She suddenly questioned whether she understood those words correctly—did he mean ’don’t come here’ instead?
Then Mia replied with a question mark.
Jensen Sterling sent another message: "Just come over, it’s fine."
Mia: "... Okay."
Though unsure of Jensen’s intentions, Mia followed his instructions, pulling up her mask as she walked slowly, staying close to the edges to avoid being noticed.
The students watched as Jensen Sterling put down his phone, slowly raised his eyes, and focused on a direction.
Everyone followed his gaze, curious about what he was looking at, then heard his voice resonate from his throat.
"Mia Sutton, over here." After speaking, he began walking towards her.
Everyone wore puzzled expressions: "...???"
Who? Mia Sutton? Who is Mia Sutton?
Oh, now they knew. She appeared in front of them.
At that moment, several thoughts circled around everyone’s heads: why did the superstar call Mia, why were they both at Aethelgard, and what was the connection?!
Not just the onlookers, even Mia herself was dazed; from the moment Jensen called her name, she was already stunned.
What was going on?!
Wasn’t everything supposed to be fine?
But now she stood before Jensen Sterling, and, aware of the people surrounding them, Mia politely said, "Hello, Mr. Jensen."
She looked every bit like a newcomer greeting a top artist, her attitude extremely respectful.
It was as if she had "senior" written all over her face.
Jensen glanced down at the person beside him, a faint, swift smile in his eyes.
Then he looked up at the surrounding crowd and slowly said, "Mia’s manager found out I was at Aethelgard and messaged me to bring her back to the company. Please don’t post on social media."
Someone in the crowd curiously asked, "How did they know you were at Aethelgard?"
With a smile, Jensen surveyed the area, especially the phones in their hands, and calmly said, "That’s something you’ll need to ask yourselves."
The crowd: "..."
They’d pushed the topic to the trending searches; of course, it was no surprise the company’s people knew.
