Chapter 632: Chapter 330: If You’re Happy, I’m Happy (Part 2)

"Alright, if you don’t want to scold him, tomorrow I’ll do it for you... I won’t let him bully you that easily."

Rebecca Quentin chuckled softly, "Hmm."

Christine Quinn gently brushed Rebecca Quentin’s hair, "Then you should get some sleep..."

Rebecca Quentin suddenly asked, "Why aren’t you sleeping either?"

"I am not not sleeping, I’m just trying to comfort you!"

"You can’t sleep either, can you?"

Rebecca Quentin suddenly turned her face, gazing deeply at the slightly agitated expression of Christine Quinn.

"No..."

"Mr. Jones didn’t come today... although it confirms your suspicions, your heart still feels a bit lost, right?"

Christine Quinn pulled up the blanket and impatiently muttered, "I want to sleep now, goodnight!"

The next day.

Rebecca Quentin got up early.

She walked through the garden path with Andrew, her mood showing no difference from usual.

Andrew, holding Rebecca Quentin’s hand, suddenly looked up and asked, "Mommy, did Daddy make you... angry?"

Rebecca Quentin’s hand trembled as she held Andrew’s, squatted down, and asked with a smile, "Why do you think so?"

"I heard Grandma talking on the phone with Daddy this morning... She said Daddy is out of line and not good to Mommy."

Rebecca Quentin rubbed Andrew’s little head, "Silly, how could Daddy not be good to Mommy? You heard wrong..."

"Really?"

Rebecca Quentin nodded, "Daddy treasures Mommy and you, my little one, the most."

"Mommy, promise me..."

"Promise you what?"

"Promise me, no more fighting with Daddy."

In fact, a child’s heart is very fragile; when parents argue, the first to be hurt is always the child.

Rebecca Quentin heard the unease in Andrew’s words and realized for the first time that even in a child’s innocent awareness, they already know what to be afraid of.

Evidently, her last argument with Howard Geoffrey in their room had made Andrew feel uneasy.

Rebecca Quentin looked at Andrew, smiled, and promised, "Mommy promises you, I won’t fight with Daddy anymore, okay?"

"Hmm." The little guy sweetly smiled and nodded, holding Rebecca Quentin’s hand, skipping happily toward the garden.

In the hall, Rebecca Quentin walked down from upstairs.

Everyone was there, their eyes collectively landing on Rebecca Quentin.

Rebecca Quentin smiled and approached them, asking, "Why is everyone looking at me?"

Mrs. Geoffrey was the first to laugh, easing the awkwardness, "Rebecca, come sit beside me."

Rebecca Quentin obediently sat next to Mrs. Geoffrey.

Mrs. Geoffrey asked, "Is Andrew asleep?"

"Yes, he’s tired from playing in the garden."

"I just spoke with Howard on the phone, he said he’d be back before noon."

"Oh, okay."

Rebecca Quentin’s face carried a gentle smile without any emotional change.

Isabella Joanna saw this, feeling pain in her heart, and couldn’t help but speak, "Rebecca..."

Roger Leonard timely interrupted, "Isabella wanted to say that we might have to head back to the country first." He said, pulling Isabella Joanna firmly, reminding her not to bring up unsuitable topics.

"Leaving already? Not staying a bit longer?"

Isabella Joanna knew her husband wanted to protect his good friend, but also realized his reminder was correct, so she responded to the topic Roger Leonard opened, "Yes, his secretary has been urging him many times to return soon to handle company matters."

"Alright then, when are you planning to leave?"

Roger Leonard immediately turned to Nelson Lewis, "Big brother, what do you say?"

"Mr. Lewis, are you going back too?"

Nelson Lewis nodded, "Theresa is having a hard time with her pregnancy, recently she’s often not eating or sleeping well... I was planning to leave tomorrow."

Rebecca Quentin’s eyes showed reluctance.

Although they had only been here for just over a week, it felt like a big happy family, filled with laughter and joy.

At that moment, thinking of their departure, her heart suddenly felt empty.

"What, you’re all leaving?" exclaimed Christine Quinn.

"Mommy, can we go back to the country with Uncle Lewis?" asked Marilyn Quinn.

Christine Quinn immediately shook her head, "No, Mommy wants to stay with your aunt a bit longer."

Marilyn Quinn hugged Christine Quinn’s knee, whining, "Mommy, let’s go back, Daddy is all alone in Y City, he must be so lonely..."

Christine Quinn was taken aback by Marilyn’s words.

Marilyn Quinn was shaking Christine Quinn’s leg, "Mommy, please? Did you and Daddy have a fight? Why didn’t Daddy come to Uncle Geoffrey’s wedding and you don’t want to go home either..."
