Chapter 582: Chapter 304: The Little Devil Tricks Her Father

In front of everyone, Howard Geoffrey declared as if taking an oath, "From today on, I want the whole world to know—we’re together."

New York.

Rebecca Quentin walked into Jones’ Mansion, holding Howard Geoffrey’s hand.

Howard Geoffrey was talking to the servants, while Rebecca Quentin was making a phone call.

"Yes, sis... the news you saw is true... I can’t explain it clearly over the phone... Huh? You want to come to New York to see me... okay... alright, I’ll wait for you!"

Just after ending the call with Christine Quinn, Rebecca Quentin’s phone rang again; this time, it was Isabella Joanna.

Rebecca Quentin answered with a smile, "Hey... well... the twists and turns of the process are something I can’t explain over the phone... What? You also want to come to New York, and with General Leonard? Uh... okay, sure, see you in New York!"

After hanging up again, Rebecca Quentin looked awkwardly at Howard Geoffrey, who had just finished speaking with the servants as well.

"What’s up?" Howard Geoffrey asked.

"My sister and Isabella said they’re coming to New York to see me."

Howard Geoffrey hugged Rebecca Quentin and walked towards the villa, saying, "That’s great, they can come and share our happiness."

Rebecca Quentin shook her head, paused for a few seconds, then added, "They’re afraid you’ll bully me again!"

Howard Geoffrey instantly had a helpless look on his face.

The Jones’ Mansion wasn’t unfamiliar to Rebecca Quentin, but it was her first time walking into this home hand-in-hand with Howard Geoffrey, causing her to feel a bit nervous.

The servants clearly knew in advance that they were coming back, as they were all smiling warmly at them.

Rebecca Quentin initially thought it would be awkward, but under the servants’ enthusiastic and kindly gazes, her tense body gradually relaxed.

"Becca!!"

A kind voice suddenly called out from the mansion’s hall.

Upon entering the hall, Rebecca Quentin looked up and saw Mrs. Geoffrey coming down from the second floor.

Rebecca Quentin gave Mrs. Geoffrey a slight smile.

Mrs. Geoffrey promptly reached Rebecca Quentin and Howard Geoffrey, yet her gaze didn’t linger on Howard Geoffrey for even a second, instead pulling Rebecca Quentin down to sit on the couch in the hall.

Mrs. Geoffrey asked warmly, "Why did you arrive so late?"

They were supposed to arrive in the morning, but it wasn’t until afternoon that they got there.

"There were a lot of reporters along the way... Howard didn’t call anyone to block them, so we were delayed quite a bit."

"At least he finally brought you back... Are you hungry? Should I have the servants cook something for you?"

"I’m not hungry; I had something on the plane."

"Then..."

Howard Geoffrey sat on the armrest of the sofa, holding Rebecca Quentin’s shoulder, and said seriously, "Mom, I came back with Becca, could you include me in your sight?"

Mrs. Geoffrey glared at Howard Geoffrey, "I’ve looked at you for over thirty years; don’t you think that’s enough?"

Howard Geoffrey was momentarily embarrassed. "Mom..."

Mrs. Geoffrey’s gaze returned to Rebecca Quentin, warmly asking, "The flight was over ten hours long, tired? Do you want to go upstairs and rest a bit?"

Rebecca Quentin shook her head, eagerly saying, "I want to see Andrew."

Mrs. Geoffrey smiled kindly, "I know, he’s napping upstairs now... go see him."

"Okay." Saying so, Rebecca Quentin rushed upstairs at a brisk pace.

Seeing Rebecca Quentin’s eagerness to see her son, Mrs. Geoffrey couldn’t help but stop Howard Geoffrey, who was also about to follow Rebecca Quentin upstairs, and said seriously, "You haven’t explained things to me yet!"

Howard Geoffrey coaxingly responded, "Mom, let me go check on Andrew first; we can talk later."

"No way!!"

With Mrs. Geoffrey’s insistence, Howard Geoffrey had no choice but to comply, speaking in a conciliatory tone, "Alright, ask what you like, and I’ll answer."

Mrs. Geoffrey glanced toward the second floor, ensuring Rebecca Quentin was out of sight before asking, "You suddenly gave me this big surprise; tell me, what are your true feelings for Becca?"

"Mom, my feelings for Becca are genuine."

Mrs. Geoffrey snorted, "Oh, now you’re saying it’s genuine. But that’s not what you told me when you were in Y City..."

Howard Geoffrey was silent for a few seconds, "There were reasons for what I said to you in Y City."

"Now you say there are reasons, but you clearly liked her. Why were you still entangled with Alice Robinson? Do you know how heartless you were to Becca back then?"

"I will make it up to her in the future."

"Son, not all wounds can be healed... even if you’re my son, I must say, if I were Becca, I absolutely wouldn’t give you another chance!"
