Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 76: Tina Huxley and Justin Huxley’s Secret Intentions
"No problem, I’ll take you down," Justin got up and grabbed his coat, "I can see you’re in a hurry, I know a shortcut that will get us downstairs the fastest."
Seeing that he was ready to put on his coat, Summer felt awkward refusing in front of the other two: "Alright then, I’ll trouble you to accompany me downstairs."
And so, Justin took Summer into the staff elevator, walked through a special passage, and directly arrived at a side door where taxis could be caught.
Summer, who hadn’t called for a car in advance, didn’t want Justin to realize she was lying: "You can drop me off here, you go back first, Miss Tina is still upstairs."
"No problem, I’ll stay downstairs and have a smoke. Tina is probably wishing I won’t go back so she can spend more time with Maxim." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
After saying this, Justin gave her an ambiguous smile, pulled out a cigarette, sniffed it without lighting it, and continued: "Tina has been infatuated with Maxim since childhood, never changed all these years. It’s time to give them more chances."
Already aware of Tina Huxley’s feelings for Maxim Sinclair, Summer feigned a smile, but felt an inexplicable discomfort inside, not wanting to show it directly.
So, she discreetly lowered her head to send a message to her assistant on her phone, asking the assistant to quickly call a car for her.
All she wanted now was to leave this place quickly.
So she wouldn’t see anything she didn’t want to see.
Always keeping an eye on the situation here, Assistant Fletcher was already prepared. At the next beat after reading Summer’s message, he immediately dialed the previously contacted driver’s number, and in a matter of minutes, Assistant Fletcher sent the driver’s car information to Summer.
Summer glanced into the distance holding her phone, and quickly spotted the car Assistant Fletcher described. She turned to Justin with a smile: "The car my assistant called for is already here, I need to hurry back to the company to deal with things, see you around!"
"Okay, head back to the company, and stay safe!"
Watching Summer’s car leave, Justin thoughtfully lit the cigarette in his mouth, leisurely smoked two in succession.
Only then did he pull out the car keys, turn around, and head into the underground parking lot, driving back to The Huxley Residence.
Upstairs, Maxim Sinclair, still being tangled up by Tina Huxley, used the same strategy as Summer, coordinating seamlessly with Assistant Collins to perform a play in front of Tina, successfully leaving.
Unable to keep him entangled, Tina Huxley, dissatisfied, also drove back to the Huxley Family.
In the living room at The Huxley Residence, Justin was holding a bowl of small dumplings, eating while chatting with Mr. Huxley beside him.
Seeing Tina come back so early, Justin’s face showed surprise: "Why are you back so soon?"
Tina Huxley, full of displeasure, tossed her bag onto the nearby sofa, then complained to the curious Mr. Huxley and Justin watching her: "Shortly after you took Summer down, he also got a call from his assistant, also said he had business, and left just like that."
After saying it, Tina suddenly realized she’d been tricked and leaned towards Justin: "Are you sure Summer was picked up by her assistant, she’s not secretly meeting Maxim Sinclair, right?"
"Rest assured, it’s impossible between Summer and Maxim Sinclair. Before you came, I observed carefully, Summer was initially quite happy, later became awkward when Maxim suddenly appeared, I saw her trying to leave several times."
Mr. Huxley, sitting on the other side, listening to their conversation, couldn’t help but ask seeing the constant mention of Summer’s name: "That name Summer Lowell sounds familiar, have you mentioned her to me before?"
"I brought her up," Tina raised her head, playfully complaining, "It’s her, she used to be a secretary beside Maxim Sinclair, back then I saw their interaction style, always suspected they had a past."
Knowing this story, Justin couldn’t help but say: "You know it’s in the past, things have passed, no need to hold on to it, besides they’re impossible now."
Unwilling to accept this, Tina repeatedly shook her head: "Summer is so beautiful, since she returned home, Maxim Sinclair continuously bothered her, it’s obvious to me he’s still not over her! Maxim is supposed to marry me, how am I supposed to feel secure!"
Justin put down the porcelain spoon in his hand, thought-provokingly said: "Did you trouble Summer before?"
Feeling somewhat guilty at hearing this unusual tone, Tina—took a moment before she replied: "Just minor troubles once or twice, why? You’re not into her too, are you?"
Justin openly confessed: "I’ve known her for a long time, indeed find her quite interesting."
Seeing another person defending Summer, dissatisfaction flashed across Tina’s face.
Just about to speak, Mr. Huxley observing from the side suddenly interrupted her: "This is a good thing, Justin finds a way to win Summer over, then you’ll have one less rival!"
Suddenly enlightened, Tina’s eyes lit up: "Right, seems so! Justin, you see, if I get Maxim, then you won’t have to worry about Maxim still missing Summer, for us, it’s a win-win situation, isn’t it?"
Not believing she could win over Maxim Sinclair, Justin did not burst the bubble of these father and daughter’s dream, instead, he followed their lead: "Indeed, dear sister, let’s work well together!"
Tina, delightedly raised her teacup on the table and clinked it with Justin’s, smiling: "Then let’s first wish for our success here!"
The next morning.
During a work break, Maxim Sinclair was exercising in the large lounge attached to his office.
Assistant Collins pushed open the door, walked to him, placed prepared warm water on a nearby table, then spoke to Maxim, who was slow-walking on the treadmill: "As per your instructions, Matthew has found what you wanted. Summer Lowell indeed has frequently met with Justin Huxley over the past week, didn’t do much, just had some tea and meals together, all within workdays, each occasion didn’t last long."
"Although each time wasn’t long," Maxim adjusted the speed, gradually accelerating, "but what makes Justin entitled to consistently pester Summer!"
[Of course, it’s because he once helped Summer and now doesn’t harass her, unlike you!]
Assistant Collins silently grumbled internally but dared not show any sign outwardly: "Justin’s return to the country has other purposes, Matthew has already sent someone to investigate, also arranging people to look into what he’s currently busy with domestically. However, he seems to be aware, concealing everything tightly, somewhat difficult to probe, you might need to wait a bit longer."
