Consequences of Dumping the Obsessive Boss: Stuck with Him Forever-Chapter 208: A Deep Kiss in the Bridal Shop
"The misunderstanding doesn’t matter. After all, those things are over," Maxim Sinclair leaned slightly forward, looking at Summer Lowell, whose eyes were flustered and was eager to avoid him. "Besides, you don’t have any memories now. Even if I explain, you won’t understand. Instead, you might grow suspicious due to outside interference."
"That’s right! I don’t remember anything now, and I can’t tell if what you’re saying is true or not," Summer struck a defensive posture, looking at Maxim. "So there’s nothing to talk about between us. You should just leave and not cause me any unnecessary trouble."
"There won’t be any trouble. My people are outside. Are you worried that Tina Huxley might see?" Maxim reached out to tuck the strands of hair behind Summer’s ear. "Let me tell you something, Tina has seen us being intimate more than once."
Summer looked at Maxim, her expressions a mix of skepticism and shock. After a moment, she spread her hands helplessly: "President Sinclair, I don’t know where I offended you, but can you please let me go?"
"No," Maxim released the lock of hair, and his hands slowly moved down, holding Summer’s chin before leaning down to kiss her.
Summer, unable to avoid, reached out to push him away, but Maxim, familiar with her movements, held her with one hand and, using the momentum, pulled Summer tightly into his arms.
Maxim held Summer tightly, leaving her unable to move, as he passionately captured her lips, as though conquering new territory.
Stunned with fear, Summer forgot how to breathe, her body rigidly accommodating Maxim.
Just as she was about to run out of breath, Maxim finally let go, gently caressing Summer’s lips with his right hand, shaking his head with a smile: "Even though your mind has lost its memories, your body remembers everything, remembers how well we fit together."
Summer mustered all her strength to push him away, covering her mouth with one hand, glaring at Maxim with angry eyes.
Maxim chuckled ambiguously, then stepped forward to embrace Summer again, locking her struggling form tightly in his arms, whispering softly in her ear: "Shh, feel it with your heart, the familiar feeling when we embrace."
Summer was held so tightly by him that she couldn’t move. After a few ineffective struggles, she simply gave up, allowing Maxim to hold her tightly.
Even after not seeing him for a while, he was still so domineering!
"What are you doing!"
The sudden appearance of Tina Huxley broke Summer out of her daze.
Seeing Tina arrive, Summer took advantage of Maxim’s distraction to break free from his embrace, standing to the side and calmly and coldly explaining to Tina: "Things aren’t what they seem. I’ll explain it to you later."
Summer picked up her skirt and walked into the fitting room nearby, preparing to change back into her own clothes and leave right away.
Tina’s face turned red with anger, trembling as she approached, her eyes burning red as she looked at Maxim: "You know Summer is now my brother’s fiancée. Your behavior is really disgraceful!"
Maxim sneered, tidying his clothes by the large mirror beside him. Once finished, seeing Tina still standing there unwilling to leave, he turned his head and spoke meaningfully: "Between Justin Huxley and me, whose behavior is disgraceful? You should be very clear."
Tina was momentarily speechless, avoiding Maxim’s gaze, trying to act composed as she urged him to leave: "You can go now. I won’t tell my brother about this. Your relationship with Miss Lowell is over. You should give up."
"Whether it’s over or not is not for you to say." Maxim looked longingly at the fitting room where Summer was changing, and without looking back, left the bridal shop.
Walking down the hallway, Matthew, who was scolding the accompanying bodyguards, quickly caught up, repeatedly apologizing: "I’m really sorry, President Sinclair. My people missed something for a moment, letting Tina exploit the opportunity."
"Isn’t it because she saw you were nearby that she insisted on barging in?"
Matthew’s face was full of guilt: "At first, she wanted to rush in, but I stopped her. Later, she sneaked in through a hidden side door of the bridal shop. It was my oversight. Next time in a similar situation, I’ll add more people to guard every entrance and exit."
"It’s okay. She didn’t delay anything for me today. She insisted on barging in because she probably recognized you. Next time you do something like this, bring a few unfamiliar faces or have them wear masks to prevent her from recognizing them."
"Okay, President Sinclair, I remember. I promise you nothing like this will happen again."
...
When Summer came out after changing her clothes, she saw Tina with a face like thunder, arms crossed as she sat on a nearby sofa, glaring at her like daggers.
The shop manager, who had been missing for a long time, finally appeared, walking over enthusiastically with a jewelry box in hand, bowing and apologizing to Summer: "I’m sorry, Miss Lowell, there was too much stuff in the storeroom. I searched for a while with them and couldn’t find it at first, so it delayed some time."
Summer glanced at the jewelry box in her hand, gave a cold laugh, leaned close to her ear, and whispered: "You’ve had a hard time. The timing of your leaving and returning was just so coincidental."
After speaking, Summer didn’t look at her, picked up her coat and bag, didn’t call out to Tina, and left the store without looking back.
Feeling neglected, Tina ran after her, catching up in the car Summer had called for herself: "What do you mean? I’m waiting for you to explain, and now you’re giving me an attitude?"
Summer nonchalantly tucked the stray hair behind her ear and only responded reluctantly after Tina’s third question, when it caught the driver’s attention in the front: "I initially wanted to explain to you, but it seems there’s no need now. You saw everything that happened, didn’t you? It’s exactly as you saw it!"
"Do you have no sense of shame?" Tina grabbed Summer’s wrist, her eyes filled with venomous light, "Do you treat Justin rightly? He loves you so much, going back and forth for you. And yet, here you are, fooling around with another man in the bridal shop."
Tina’s eyes flickered subtly, having almost let something slip.
It seemed Summer didn’t notice the slip-up in Tina’s words.
"There’s no need for you to worry here. If you want to stand up for Justin, you can tell him what happened today. I’ll naturally explain it to him tonight."
"I will definitely inform Justin, let him open his eyes and carefully discern what kind of woman you really are!"
Tina snorted coldly, tapping vigorously on her phone, clearly about to complain to Justin Huxley.
Summer laid back in the rear seat indifferently, gazing aimlessly at the scenery outside the window.
