Conquering the underworld with my beautiful dragon wives-Chapter 47: The Rise of Azarakhsh, Shole, and Sama

When the baby dragons called out Ethan’s name, everyone froze.

Fayra stepped back, shocked.

"Did... did they just say ’Ethan’?"

Ethan scratched his head.

"Well... guess I’m the boss now."

One of the little dragons — the one with golden scales — lit up his eyes and stood on his tiny feet. Like he just learned how to walk. In a second, he climbed behind Ethan and opened his little wings.

Luna jumped up, super excited.

"Whoa, hold up! Is he... is he growing?"

And right as she said it, those golden scales sparkled in the sunlight. He stretched taller... his tail got longer... and in seconds, he went from a cute little hatchling to a young dragon. Not a full-sized one yet... but big enough to rip a tree out of the ground.

Selena mumbled,

"Oh crap... fast-growing dragon?"

The turquoise baby dragon stood up too, sneezed a puff of fire, and poof — burnt a small tree to ash.

Fayra quickly pulled out her sword.

"Easy now! Don’t blow up the cottage!"

The purple baby dragon, acting all sweet, walked up and rubbed its tail on Ethan’s leg, making a soft sound.

"Ethaaan..."

Ethan bent down, patting their heads.

"Good job, little guys... how’re you feeling? Ready for... some training?"

And just like that — boom — all three of them grew bigger right in front of their eyes.

Fayra gasped.

"They’re growing in one day... that’s insane!"

Alice grinned.

"No... it’s awesome! That means by next week we can ride them!"

Selena crossed her arms.

"I just hope their brain grows too... or else we’ll have four-hundred-kilo dragons trying to sleep on top of us."

Later that evening, Ethan took the baby dragons by the purple lake. They were splashing around, sometimes jumping out, shooting fire at the sky.

Ethan, staring at the purple glow and those fiery mountains in the distance, turned to his friends.

"You know... right now... it kinda feels like... like we could take the world."

Fayra sat down beside him.

"How so?"

Ethan smiled.

"Look at ’em... three baby dragons... just born... and already willing to die for me. The queen said it too... said if she had half my power... she’d take the world."

Luna grabbed a snack and said,

"I say — why the hell not? You’re the Keybearer now... you got three badass dragons... hot dragon girls... why not start a freakin’ dragon empire?"

Alice laughed.

"Let’s call it: The Happy Mighty Dragon Empire."

Selena, serious as usual, said,

"Just remember... when people kneel before you... it doesn’t always mean they love you. Most of ’em do it outta fear. Taking a world is easy... keeping it’s the hard part."

Ethan tilted his head back, took a deep breath.

"I know... but there’s this weird feeling inside me... like... like maybe we can. Take this world... and maybe even others."

Fayra smiled softly.

"Good... but just know... if you go down that road... we’ve got your back. All the way."

Right then, the baby dragons roared together:

"ETHAAAAN!"

Ethan laughed.

"See? They’re in too."

Luna grinned.

"Okay — first, let’s name ’em. I’m callin’ this golden one... Azarakhsh."

Selena added,

"The turquoise one... let’s call him Shole."

Fayra said,

"And the purple one... that’ll be Sama."

Ethan chuckled.

"Perfect... Azarakhsh, Shole, Sama. That’s our team."

Just then, they heard rustling from the trees. Everyone grabbed their weapons.

But... an old dragon man wearing a gray cloak stepped out.

He said,

"Ethan... it’s time. You need to know the real secret of this world. The one even the queen was too scared to tell you."

They all froze.

Ethan stood up.

"Alright... tell me. What secret?"

The old man said,

"This world... is just one of six. And whoever holds the key... can open the doors to the other worlds too."

Ethan stared in disbelief.

"You mean... if I wanted..."

The old man nodded.

"Yep... you could claim them all."

The sky was purple... with pieces of fiery clouds slowly floating around. The roars of the baby dragons echoed in the air.

Azarakhsh, Shole, and Sama weren’t tiny little things anymore... no! In just a couple hours, they turned into huge, powerful dragons. Their wings were tearing the sky apart and their breath was spitting fire like thunder.

Ethan stepped forward, put his hand on Azarakhsh’s neck.

"Alright buddy... time for our first trip around the world."

Alice, standing nearby, laughed.

"Hold up... I’m coming too! No way you’re going alone."

Ethan laughed.

"Hop on, there’s room up front."

Alice jumped up behind Ethan on Azarakhsh.

"Never thought a day would come I’d ride a dragon... and with a guy who’s planning to take over the world!"

Ethan smacked her shoulder.

"Calm down girl, we haven’t decided to take over the world yet!"

Fayra stepped forward, raised her sword and said,

"If you’re gonna tear up the skies... I’m in too."

In a flash, red light swirled around her body and she shifted... Fayra, the red dragon, with flames rolling off her scales, spread her wings.

Luna shouted,

"Nooo, I’m in too!"

She dived — blue light wrapping around her — and turned into a big blue dragon with silver stripes.

Selena, as always, stayed cool.

"If we’re gonna see the world’s edges... where would I go without you guys?"

Her body vanished in a purple glow, transforming into a dark, purple dragon with glowing eyes.

Ethan looked at them all.

"Alright guys... today, we fly around our world. We’ll see who’s where, what places we like... and who better start running."

The baby dragons roared back loudly.

And they all took off together.

Azarakhsh pushed off the ground and soared into the sky. Ethan and Alice sped through the fiery clouds, with Shole and Sama right behind.

Fayra, Luna, and Selena circled around them.

Luna shouted,

"Woooohooo! I freaking love this!"

Selena said quietly to herself,

"What a view..."

From up there, the Dragon Castle looked like a black jewel in the middle of purple lands. Fiery mountains, rivers of lava, silver trees... and further away... some other lands... darker lands.

Alice pointed.

"Hey... over there to the east... looks like some foreign land."

Fayra growled.

"The Shadowlands. The ones who’ve been enemies since day one."

Selena said,

"And over to the west... the Land of the Hunters. They hunt dragons... turn them into slaves."

Ethan locked his eyes to the south.

"What’s there?"

Luna replied,

"The Greylands... a neutral people. But full of sneaky types."

Alice smiled.

"Man... what a colorful world. So... who’s the boss around here now?"

Fayra breathed out a puff of fire.

"The outer borders... full of rogue princes, bloody kings, and rebels. This world’s not united yet."

Ethan’s eyes lit up with a grin.

"So... that means someday... if I wanted... I could unite it all?"

Luna said,

"If you can stand against the rebels... if you can take the Shadowlands... and stop the Hunters... yeah. You could."

Ethan nodded.

"Well... for now, we’re just looking around. Seeing who’s where. Making a little mental map... for the day when maybe... just maybe... I’ll decide to unite it all."

Alice nudged him.

"I’m in... but promise me one thing — name my land Aliceland."

Everyone burst out laughing.

Ethan smiled.

"Deal... but this is just the beginning."

They all spread their wings together.

Azarakhsh, Shole, and Sama flew alongside Fayra, Luna, and Selena.

Six dragons... three baby dragons... three warrior dragons... and one Keybearer.
