Comrade: Almost a Cat-astrophic Love Story-Chapter 172: Love-struck, You Won’t Understand
Wang Youquan ended up being the one picking up the mess.
The minute the news was out, the great manager Wang was hopping mad. He recalled the night before. Fu Sichen had skipped a movie announcement conference, citing the reason that he was unwell.
At that point, Wang Youquan was livid. “You look freaking ruddy and healthy, what ailment are you suffering exactly!”
Without even blinking, Fu Sichen said matter-of-factly, “Love-struck, you won’t understand.”
Wang Youquan was speechless.
What the hell, he didn’t want to know. The scum!
Deep in his heart, he had already known that Fu Sichen was off to look for Pei Zhen. Still, when the news came out, it made Wang Youquan’s blood boil.
“Fine. Even if you go looking for Pei Zhen, can I ask that you be more cautious!”
“You are two grown men, aren’t you afraid of being a bad influence on the younger people!”
“In bright daylight and in clear view of everyone, this sort of display of affection is most harmful to singles!”
“That was at night, not bright daylight,” Fu Sichen said.
Wang Youquan was angry beyond words.
The shameless Fu Sichen, he’d try to change the topic without batting an eyelid.
It was impossible to get through to Fu Sichen’s thick skull. Wang Youquan had given up trying to counsel him, and at that point, he couldn’t even be bothered to get angry. However, he had observed that for someone who had just gone on a date, Fu Sichen didn’t look too happy.
“Well?” Wang Youquan sneered. “Are you regretting it? Finally realized that men are not as soft as women?”
Ultimately, Pei Zhen was a man and a tall one at that. His limbs were lanky and bony, how would that make him a comfortable person to hug.
Fu Sichen was quite offended and scoffed at Wang Youquan. His Pei Zhen was the softest, and even girls couldn’t hold a torch to him!
However, compared to that, Fu Sichen was more bothered by Pei Zhen’s reaction the previous night.
His young boyfriend had his pride and ego, and it seemed that he really detested being the bottom party.
There was no one whom he could share his anxiety with. Facing the nosey Wang Youquan, Fu Sichen couldn’t even be bothered to explain. He changed the topic. “It’s a rare occasion that the paparazzi come up with an accurate report, we shouldn’t try to hide the truth.”
What?! Wang Youquan exclaimed unbelievably. Trying to do his PR job seemed wrong already. Pei Zhen occupied Fu Sichen entirely.
Just as Wang Youquan started to protest, Fu Sichen’s phone rang. He was unusually nervous, thinking that the call was from Pei Zhen. Alas, the screen showed the name ‘Xiao Longnu’.
It was Pei Zhen’s father.
“Uncle Pei.” Fu Sichen picked up the call. As he spoke, he recalled that Pei Zhen’s mother had mentioned previously that they’d be home in a month. “It’s been a long time.”
Pei Zhen’s father was a candid character, and very personable. Yet, with a switch of the topic, he got into the reason for the call. “We will be arriving in Dong Hai City tonight.”
Fu Sichen’s expression clouded over, and it was difficult to tell what he was thinking. “Is that so? That’s great. I will get in touch with Pei Zhen.”
“Yes, let Pei Pei know, but…” When it came to Pei Zhen, Pei Zhen’s father felt a little guilt-stricken. “Sichen, perhaps, please don’t let him know for now. When we get home tonight, his mother wants to give him a surprise.”
No matter what, parents would be parents, and they’d have their child at heart. It had been an intense month of work, and they had made much progress for early completion. Much of it was so that they could get home to spend more time with Pei Zhen.
After Fu Sichen gave assurance that he wouldn’t tell Pei Zhen, Pei Zhen’s father focused on the latest scandal.
“What were you up to last night? Were you really on a date? Hahaha.”
Uncle Pei, if you knew that your son had turned gay, would you still laugh so freely?
