Commanding Wind and Cloud-Chapter 128: Return of the King
Chapter 128: Return of the King
Translator: Udong Editor: IceTea
Caesars was dressed in dim bluish warrior uniform and was followed by four men who were dressed similarly. There was another warrior sitting on the cane chair, drinking tea leisurely and showing no sign of standing up.
“Rosella, misfortune has continued to befall your family in the past two years. Your brother and your father have both passed sway, thus it is your sister-in-law who’s in charge of the whole family. It’s all up to her as to whether the Roll family will be merged, don’t you know this?” Caesars looked impatient, saying to himself that he would sooner or later sleep with her!
Rosella was kneeling by Rollin’s coffin, looking at Caesars with a cold expression which produced a chill inside him.
“Fuck! You said you had your brother’s testament, so take it out!” Caesars couldn’t help himself anymore, so he banged the table and stood up, “Otherwise, the Roll Family is doomed to be merged with the Cae Family today!”
“That’s it.” Julius swung her waist leisurely, caressing her baby around her arms. She flashed Rosella a malicious look, “I’m Rollin’s wife, the one in charge of the whole family. When did it become your turn to talk?”
Rosella raised her head looking at Julius with a cold look. She said nothing, regretting that she didn’t stop her brother from marrying this woman.
“Why are you looking at me?” Julius was frightened by the way Rosella looked at her, “I’m the one who is in charge of the family! Not you!”
The four warriors behind Caesars rose up all of a sudden and rushed into the room…
“Who dares to do so!” A cold voice mixed with exasperation flew into the yard. “Julius isn’t in charge of the Roll Family!” Caesars frowned and wore a venomous look. Puzzled by this bold guy who stood up for the Roll Family, he asked, “Who is it?”
“It’s me, Qian Jin!”
Qian Jin was a very strange, yet common name. The only thing that made it different was the family name, Qian!
As one of the three ultimate bloodline awakening warriors of Zence Empire, the family which created the elf king ultimate awakening bloodline warriors, also bore the last name of Qian. But apart from the elf king bloodline family, many ordinary people in Zence Empire had a similar family name.
Julius, who was swinging leisurely cuddling her baby in her arms, quivered slightly. Her plump bosom bounced up and down. With malicious intent filling her eyes, she watchfully glanced to the entrance of the courtyard.
He was the one who became the number one warrior of the first grade within several days. He defeated Michaels, the strongest apprentice of Oakland Mage and Warrior Academy twice, and thus was crowned with the title of the youngest number one warrior ever in the academy’s history.
Recalling what had happened two years ago, Julius felt frightened. She gazed at the entrance gate which was closed firmly and clenched her arms that was cuddling the baby tightly.
“Qian Jin?” Caesars glared at Qian Jin motionlessly, forgetting to generate power from his feet which were treading on Rollin’s coffin. His eyes were fixed on the firmly closed gate, with his eyebrows slowly moving towards the center of his face. His fists clenching tightly.
The four warriors stopped their pouncing at the sight of Caesars’s expression and turned to gaze at the gate by the courtyard entrance.
The warrior who was sitting on the chair held a cup of tea filled by slightly hot water leisurely. He blew the leaves floating in the cup with his mouth. He didn’t even lift his eyes, let alone look to the closed gate.
Creak…
Screeching sounds came from the boarded door, resembling the folding and rubbing of metal due to a lack of lubricant.
“Qian Jin.”
Julius stepped back unconsciously while holding the baby in her arms. Her face instantly turned dark as she screamed to herself, “Definitely! It was Qian Jin! Although he grew taller and stronger than before, he’s still full of masculinity!” It was him! It was the very guy who refused her invitation, a privilege that hadn’t been rejected by any boy in the face of all the warrior apprentices of the school.
Julius took a few steps back, and with shameful emotions exploding in her bosom, she looked back at Qian Jin with an even more venomous look.
“It has been two years… two years…” Caesars whispered to himself staring at Qian Jin, and slightly quivered out of anger as everything that had happened two years ago was flashing in his mind. “You’re still alive? Well, that’s great! I thought I wouldn’t ever have the chance to pay you back.”
The muscles at the corner of Caesars’s mouth and eyes kept cramping, and his face turned aghast because of anger. A feeling of fear could be seen from his bluish pupils; it was something brought about by instinct. Only those people who had fought Qian Jin realized how crazy and ruthless he was when using his strength.
“Great, great, great!” Caesars fastened his breath, “It’s so great to see you alive…”
The four warriors felt Caesars’ uneasiness, so they encircled him and gazed at the man who walked into the yard with slow steps.
As seen by the four warriors, the man walking into the yard didn’t seem irritated. Instead, a light feeling of melancholy loomed in his eyes, making him feel totally different from the one who had growled outside the door just now.
Rosella was kneeling down by Rollin’s coffin, looking at Caesars and his fellows with a cold and frozen look. Upon hearing Qian Jin, the dried eyes of her became wet again. She looked back at Qian Jin, with tears falling down from her fair smooth skin like a broken string of a pearl necklace.
“He’s coming… my brother… the person you were missing has really come…” Rosella propped her hands on the ground and said to herself with a wailing voice, “My brother, stand up and look. The one you believed was still alive despite everyone else saying that he died has come back to see you. Stand up and see, won’t you? He has come, he has…”
Rosella was propping her hands on the ground, feeling exhausted by the confrontation with Caesars, Julius and the other malicious people. Yet, she had to face up to everything with a strong will and never compromise to safeguard the family property earned by her father and brother.
However, she was just a girl and was vulnerable to fear and tiredness. She needed someone to lean on. The guardians of her family had all passed away, leaving her with no one to rely on in the whole household of the Roll Family.
However arduous reality was to put up with, Rosella had been holding onto her brother Rollin’s last will that Qian Jin would definitely come back! He was certain!
“My sister, please remember that Qian Jin will eventually come back! He promised me that he would be the prime guardian of our family! He is the one and only man worthy of your trust in this world aside from me! Remember this; please bear it in mind!”
“My brother…” Rosella watched Qian Jin step forward as she recalled the last words of Rollin. “Brother, I remember what you told me. He is back. Please stand up and have a look at him, please!”
Qian Jin gazed at the coffin encircled by flowers. At this moment, Caesars, Julius and the four warriors who rose up like bandits all disappeared in his eyes. The only thing he could see was Rollin lying in the coffin, and Rosella propped on the ground with tears welling up on her face. He felt desperately heartbroken as if millions of arrows were shot into his body!
Pain! Qian Jin lifted his arms a little to press on his heart, the place where the pain was coming from! This was an extreme pain he never ever experienced! This was a thousand times heavier than Eulalia’s [volcano potion]!
Seeing his best friend lying in the coffin and a gang of bastards bullying the Roll Family at the funeral without anyone standing out and calling for justice, Qian Jin couldn’t stop his hands from trembling. These were a pair of hands that stayed poised even when he was killing others.
He stood in front of the coffin decorated with flowers and stared at Rollin, who was lying quietly and peaceful, as if he was just sleeping. He seemed to be wearing a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, either in scorn for himself, or as a sign of his conviction that someone would take over his responsibility to care for his sister after his death.
“Fat man…” Qian Jin touched the black rims of the coffin lightly and circled around the coffin, one step after another. “Professor Rodriguez has come with his whip. Do you dare you remain in bed? He’s going to whip your lazy body…”
…
The mourning hall was filled with deafening silence!
This method of waking Rollin up worked all the time in the past, but it didn't work today. Rollin was as silent as before, but the only difference was that he didn't snore this time.
Caesars glimpsed at Julius, twisted his lips, frowned a little and took a glance at Qian Jin.
Feeling Qian Jin’s ignorance, Julius's feeling of neglect from him in their earlier years was provoked and added to the anger she felt at this moment. This brought about her courage. She suddenly stepped forward with the baby cuddled around her arms and said, “Qian Jin, you have no right to…”
Qian Jin suddenly looked back and stared directly at Julius.
Puff…
Julius slumped down in the chair behind her. Her heart was beating fiercely and her body was shaking gravely. She couldn’t utter a single word with her open mouth as she stared at Qian Jin fearfully.
Julius had never seen such an atrocious look reflected through Qian Jin’s eyes. In that second, she seemed to have seen thousands of demons whose bodies were stained with pungent blood waving their battle blades in the dark night.
Horrible! Julius trembled uncontrollably. She could assert that if she dared to speak one more word, Qian Jin would twist off her neck and throw her out of the yard like he was discarding some rubbish.
Qian Jin kept circling around the coffin while touching the edges. When his eyes were fixed on Rollin, the faint melancholic look reappeared on his face.
