Coldsnap: The Billionaire Alpha's Fated Pregnant Princess (GL)-Chapter 213 - Showing Off More For The Right Person
Chapter 213: Chapter 213 - Showing Off More For The Right Person
Kyrie asked so carefully... though her voice has a rough edge about it that suggests she’s not genuinely feeling careful about anything right now. Even from over here, thanks to enhanced sense, I can tell her pupils are dilated - and I can see her chest rising and falling unevenly.
> Good. Now I can let her see exactly what she’s dealing with, just like Dahlia said. <
"Not at all. She was just giving me some feedback while I waited on you to show up."
It takes her a while to reply, long enough that I hear sloshing sounds in the water that seem like they could be the human climbing over the edge.
"...Feedback."
"On my new swimwear. A second opinion on its presentation and... impact."
I hear a snort at that as Dahlia passes by, with a white towel blotting her hair and outfit. As she heads toward the exit - without knowing how dangerous it probably is to get too close to a werewolf in the state Kyrie is in, she pauses near her.
"Honey, she is so ready and waiting. But that girl’s going to put you through some things. Good luck."
> Unnecessary! Why can people not just keep their thoughts to themselves... <
She was speaking quietly, but not so much that I can’t hear... and the meddling woman exits the premises before I can think of a proper admonishment. Leaving Kyrie and me alone with nothing but the gentle sound of water lapping against the pool walls.
And the thundering drum of my own heartbeat compelling me to do anything and everything all at once. Her outfit suddenly seem overdressed compared to my... strategic scraps of blue fabric.
But more importantly, she’s staring at me like she’s never seen me before. Like I’m some strange, mythical creature that exists near the water and not the person she came here so quickly to find.
> I’ve been here only so many minutes, and it takes that long to walk from her tower to here... plus her getting dressed and taking the lift down from the top floor... did she jump and fly here? <
"So..."
My voice comes out low as I take a long, dangerous step back toward the pool’s edge without even looking. Prepared to fall if I hadn’t calculated my movements perfectly. Sort of like what I’m doing with her...
"Are ready for that sure to be quite relaxing swim I promised?"
Her eyes track my movement as I reach the pool’s edge and I lose sight of them when I turn around, bending low at the waist to trail my fingers through the illuminated water. An entirely deliberate full lean that showcases exactly what a bikini bottom can frame so perfectly.
The fabric may not be sheer, but it leaves very little to the imagination - and I make sure to add just the slightest wiggle side to side as I test the water temperature while raising hers.
"Foxes...?"
The questioning word comes out so hoarse and breathless that I almost don’t catch it. But when I straighten and turn around with a satisfied smirk, Kyrie is a few steps closer and staring at me like she’s never been quite so captivated in her entire life.
Even more intensely than the way she looked at me when we met. Though I admit, I was far too wary at the time and really had no references to really appreciate her expressions.
She seems to shake herself into action, her hands moving to the waistband of her red swim trunks. Slipping them down with obvious intent to match the level of undress I’m presenting. But the moment I see the tight white fabric swimwear against all of her lines...
Something snaps inside me. Vrika, for one, but also myself. Surges of pure want twist through our connection and I know that my eyes are blazing with their blue light.
Before I can think about it, I’ve moved. Crossing the distance between us in quick strides and a quicker stop... with my hands gripping the sides of her red tank top before the trunks hit the floor.
For a moment we’re frozen like that - me breathing hard, both our eyes glowing. The fabric is warm under my palms even though it must have been exposed to the night’s air... and I can hear the rapid beat of her heart through enhanced senses.
> Slow down. Control yourself. You’re supposed to be seducing her, not just tackling her and getting to the point... <
I close my eyes without thinking to doubt my trust in her as I calm myself. Letting that surge settle back into something more manageable. When I open them again, Kyrie is still staring at me with that same stunned expression that didn’t know what to do.
Didn’t know what I wanted her to do.
Without breaking eye contact, I slowly begin to lift the tank top. She raises her arms to help me, though she clearly didn’t need the assistance I was providing. The fabric gradually slides up and over her head, revealing the plain white bikini top underneath that matches her lowers.
I get a good look while her eyes are covered behind the cloth. Altogether a simple look... and that is doing absolutely nothing to diminish the effect she is having on me. Simple is sometimes too much.
A white bikini makes her look both innocent and the very athletic tone of her is just... devastating. We stand there for a long moment, looking at each other from up close. Her hair is slightly messy from the tank top pulling across it.
I start to reach out and pat it down... but instead go for her wrist. My fingers circling it as gently as I would have pet her hair, but firmly enough to tug her along toward where the pool steps are.
"Come on. The water’s perfect."
She follows without resistance, as I knew she would. I don’t let go of her wrist as we wade in together. The warmed water laps around our legs, then our waists, until we’re both fully submerged and floating.
The buoyancy turns our movements more flowing and dreamlike. But I still don’t release her. Keeping that stable, rigid connection between us as we tread water and simply drift together.
At least for now.
