He would need to get to higher stages to be able to do more with it.

There were the Initial, Mid, Refined, and Perfected stages to go through before he could transcend to the next cultivation level.

Flipping through the pages, he stopped at the next spell that he could learn, and he started to read the words on it.

This time it was for the Wood Spell.

Lin Xuan Qi mumbled the chant for the spell and started to divert his Five-Element Qi to his liver.

As he did so, he felt a sense of connection to the trees outside of his bedroom.

Every leaf, branch, and the trees themselves could be felt by him.

Vines started to appear out of his fingers.

He tried to divert more of his Five-Element Qi to his liver, and they started to become thicker.

Swinging his arms, he was able to whip them around like a whip.

That was the best he could do with his proficiency for now.

It might come in handy for some situations, he thought.

For the Fire Spell, he would be able to conjure fireballs and even firewalls or make the entire area as big as a city be engulfed in it when he got to higher levels of cultivation.

The Wood Spell might not be as useful as the Fire Spell at first glance, but he read from the manuscript that at higher levels of cultivation, he would be able to conjure tree trunks as thick as twenty meters or vines that were so abundant that they would overcome a city.

He practiced with the Wood Spell for an incense time before he had to rest after using up all of his Five-Element Qi.

While he rested on his chair, he flipped through the manuscript carefully and started reading the section on Alchemy.

His first reaction when he read about it was to frown.

It mentioned that to be able to conjure the pills from all the different ingredients, you would need an Alchemy Furnace.

Which was something he didn’t have.

And the only people he could think of that might know something about it were Sima Ye and Sima Long.

The requirement for the Alchemy Furnace didn’t seem that difficult to satisfy when he read it.

It had to be forged with the Five-Element Qi with a list of materials.

They had no opinion on the date itself.

But he knew that it was a very weird situation for them to be in this limbo of being the wife and concubine and wasn’t it yet.

He thought that it was best to get it over and done with and he replied, "Then, we shall have the wedding five days later."

"Congratulations on the marriage and rest assured that I will get everything prepared."

Madam Sai took out a piece of paper and said, "You can get your servants to procure the items and set up the mansion for the time being."

A servant took the piece of paper and passed it to Lin Xuan Qi.
