The weight that fell off Lily’s shoulders was tremendous since it was a lifetime’s worth of emotion rolling back onto her old tormentors. Dimitri kept her firmly at his side while he approached the Dragon King and Queen as well as Prof. Magnus who all had rueful smiles on their faces.

"Did you teach them a teach that bad wolf king a lesson, my dear?" Professor Magnus had watched the entire encounter seeing her handle it with more decorum and grace than the Wolf King and family present. "Yes I did, and rightly so they deserved it. The Dragon King and Professor Magnus both laughed heartily hearing her take care of business.

Lily smiled at the two men knowing they approved of her methods. The Dragon queen however had a stoic look about her remaining reserved from the conversation. Lily knew there was nothing she could say to change the King’s mood in her favor. The Second Prince and his mate had reacted in a crisis promoting their standing with the people and the nobles. Saying anything against them at that moment would only reflect poorly on her.

The First Prince sat off to the side of the King’s area brooding over his brother’s success. He didn’t think a soldier being injured should merit a reward and had he heard sooner that darkling dragons were attacking he would have headed the squad to take them out. Instead, his brother and his mate took out the dragons with everyone watching from the city to the castle. Gripping the chair the First Prince just couldn’t stand his brother, the illegitimate child, outshine him.

The Dragon King moved to the front of the platform to address his people. "Everyone as you are aware my second son and his mate took down three darkling dragons moving to storm the castle. Showing valiant heroism and bravery they prevented what could have been severe losses."

The King bowed to her as did the rest of the court surprising her that she would be so acknowledged before. Her Prince was just as proud of her watching the assembly of people bow to what they thought was just a commoner with no talent. She proved that anyone with a bit of support can do great things if they fight hard enough for it.

The King stood looking at the two knowing he already knew his choice, but needed the Clan to choose them as well. Lily let go of Dimitri walking to stand next to the Dragon King. "I have a gift for you." A servant walked forward holding a wooden box. The King opens it revealing a stunning jeweled tiara one that his mother used to wear. It was made of precious metals entwined like a wreath and beautiful blue gems that looked like flowers around the crown. He kissed her on the forehead as the band began to play a sweet song that Dimitri knew all to well. "Care to Dance with me again?" Lily nodded following him on to the dance floor following his lead.
