Chaos Warlord: Reincarnated in Eldrich with the Devil System!-Chapter 246 243: The three items
Chapter 246 243: The three items
The 1000 mad points were converted into 10 stat points, which Val decided to put into his reflexes. After all, out of all his stats, his REF stat was the weakest.
[10 stat points were put into REF]
[REF stat permanently increased to 40 points.]
Val opened his stat screen and looked at it.

His bloodline skills, cursed artifacts, and magic item collection were also mentioned in the semi-transparent status screen floating before his eyes. He had several bloodline skills and 11 special items.
Val felt happy to see how much he had grown.
'My stats aren't worse than level 5 warriors. The only difference is that they have more vitality than me.'
Val noticed that his strength was boosted by 7 points and his reflexes by 2 points as he had equipped Voidslayer. When he put it into the pocket dimension of the Void Orb, his STR and REF stats decreased by 7 and 2 points respectively.
'Let's take shelter in the shrine,' Val thought to himself.
It was nighttime. The night sky was dark, with only the occasional glimmer of stars piercing through. There were still eight hours remaining until dawn would break and the rays of the sun would light up the sky, forcing the devils and paranormal entities to hide in places where the light couldn't reach them.
At this time, though, devils were roaming the mountain range in search of prey that they could hunt down. These devils came in all shapes and sizes, some slithering on the ground while others took to the sky, and had varying power levels. Some were so weak Val could kill ten of them. Some were so strong they wouldn't need a second to torture Val to death.
Val, despite being inside the secret area behind Serpent's Mirage, saw it all thanks to his heavenly eye, and he wasn't shocked.
After all, It was common knowledge that at night the mountain range was a hazardous place to be for a human. 𝘣𝘦𝑑𝘯𝘰𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝑛𝘦𝘵
It wasn't just the devils that made the mountain range dangerous for humans at night. There were also various other threats that one needed to be cautious of when transversing the mountain range at night.
For example, paranormal phenomena like the mysterious and deadly Fog could appear without warning anywhere in the mountain range at night, ensnaring anyone who wasn't careful. Similarly, mythical beasts like the Cerberus could also be found lurking in the mountain range at night, and it was bad luck to come across them.
The Cerberus, for instance, was known to be especially aggressive after dark. It would go all out if it sees a prey.
Val survived encountering it during the daytime, but there was no telling if he would survive encountering it at night.
Thus, Val decided to spend the night in the shrine where it was safe, and return to the frontier early in the morning. He wasn't in any kind of danger for the time being. Hence, the spirit of the shrine, which he had never seen, wouldn't deny him entry.
Besides, the Frontier's gates were closed. He couldn't enter it legally and forcing his way into it came with its own risks. He wasn't willing to take them.
"Levare," Val uttered.
The next moment, he found himself inside the Shrine of Evil. Just as he had expected, it hadn't denied him entry because he wasn't in any kind of trouble.
"Welcome, master," Gruul said.
In response, Val voiced out his acknowledgment.
After walking past Gruul, Val sat down on the throne of bones and checked the items he was rewarded with by the world for completing the dungeon.
There were three items.
The first was a cauldron, which was a necessary piece of equipment when it came to refining elixir.
The cauldron was made from a special type of metal and was resistant to heat. It boasted properties that made it virtually immune to melting, even when exposed to extremely high temperatures. Its melting point was leagues above that of regular steel, making it an invaluable asset for any alchemy-related work. What made this cauldron even more remarkable were the rune slots that were carefully carved into its exterior. These slots were designed to house specific runes, which could enhance the cauldron's capabilities even further.
The second item he got was the rune of fire. As its name suggested, this rune had the ability to produce fire when activated. All it needed was a dose of soul power to fuel it, and it would manifest fire at the user's will.
The third and final item was another rune, designed to control the temperature of fire. With this rune, one could either increase or decrease the heat of a flame, providing the wizard with greater control and precision during alchemy or combat. Just like the rune of fire, this temperature-controlling rune required the manipulation of soul power to function.
'These runes seem tailor-made for the cauldron. It would be a pity if I don't put them in the cauldron.'
Val immediately filled the two empty rune slots of the cauldron with the rune of fire and the temperature control rune.
The ultimate cauldron for alchemy was created. It was a cauldron that any wizard would kill to have.
Val thought he definitely couldn't allow himself to been seen using it in the frontier. Or else, he would be bullied out of his rarest possession.
